When it comes to our own hair am I right in thinking that were all lusting after locks we simply don't have? Yes we have those great hair days, which for me are probably way outnumbered by the bad ones. But there are those moments where I'm just really fed up with my hair. The one thing that really lets my hair down probably is just how thin it is. Don't let my pictures on Instagram fool you, my locks really lack life, curls never hold and don't even get me started on volume! My sister on the other hand has gloriously thick hair, hair that I just think looks beautiful and I'm slightly envious she got the better genes in the hair department. Despite me secretly wanting her hair, she often tells me her hair is too thick and she would love it to be a bit thinner. Which brings me back to my first point, I think we all want hair that we simply can't or never have.

However for me there is a solution to having perfect girl hair, and incase you didn't guess by the title of this post, my hair saviour are the Dirty Looks HK Hair Extensions. Around a year ago I got a post up reviewing these amazing hair extensions (you can read that post here) and a year on I'm still loving them just as much. I sometimes think it's good to reevaluate a product, especially for review purposes as you guys can see that I truly do love a product. 

Hair extensions are one of those things which I think pretty much every girl has or has tried, and with so many on the market to choose from it can be hard to know which ones to choose. Let's face it, there not exactly the cheapest of things to buy, but if you invest in the right ones, its money well spent. As a girl who loves long hair, and like I mentioned at the beginning of this post have extremely thin hair, I love wearing extensions to add a little length and more importantly to add thickness to my hair. A few clip-ins really does make such a huge amount of difference to my hair and it only takes seconds to apply them. 

The Dirty Looks HK Hair Extensions still have to be the best I've tried and since receiving them they are the only hair extensions I reach for - They're that good! If you're looking to invest in some hair extensions this year I can't recommend these ones enough. If your happy with the length of your hair, but like me need to add thickness then Dirty Looks have the perfect solution. They offer the quad weft, which is essentially four wefts sewn into one band and its a fabulous way to add thickness to your hair instantly. This comes with your hair extension pack or alternatively you can purchase it on its own, which I did. 

One hair style that I often create is the classic pony tail, especially on those second day hair days. However the thinness of my hair really shows whenever I wear my hair in this classic style. To fix that problem I always pop in my quad weft, curl my hair and then tie it up, and as you can see from the pictures in todays post it really does make such a difference. The hair extensions blend beautifully into my own hair, and my pony tail looks so full and thick which I love. These extensions really are a my hair saviour.

When it comes to hair, in my opinion the longer the hair the better. I'm a right girly girl at heart and whilst some chicks can totally rock a short hair do, I am the biggest fan of long luscious locks. Although my hair is at a pretty long length, I am and have been for quite some time a huge fan of hair extensions and over the years have tried my fair share of them. I love how hair extensions not only give you long luscious locks, but I love how they thicken up your hair and create plenty of volume and drama - And as I am someone who has naturally thin hair this is a Godsend! So when Dirty Looks got in touch with me asking if I would like to review a full set of their HK Hair Extensions I actually squealed with joy as I've heard that HK Hair Extensions are some of the best out there and everyone who wears them has gorgeous looking hair. 

When it came to choosing the length and colour of the HK Hair Extensions, Dirty Looks pointed me in the direction of their website and asked me to choose from a huge selection of colours. There are 21 in total so there is a shade to suit every hair colour. As my hair is really dark I opted for the shade 'Organic' and I was so pleased to discover that its the perfect colour match for me. I would never consider my hair colour to be black, but its a really dark rich chocolate brown which is a few shades lighter than black - The shade 'Organic' will be perfect for those of you who have really dark brown hair which can look black in certain lights. What really impressed me though, is that Dirty Looks have packaged the HK Hair Extensions in such a way that allows you to see if you have that perfect colour match. On the right hand side of packaging there is a separate compartment which has one weft of hair placed in it - You can then take this weft out so your able to match it up to your own hair. If your feel that the shade is not suitable you are then able to return the extensions which is such a fabulous idea. There have been so many times in the past where I've been stuck with the wrong shade of hair extensions and this completely eliminates this problem. 

As for the length of the hair, the HK Hair Extensions have four different lengths for you to choose from. I decided to opt for the 20-22" as my own hair is around 18 Inches and I thought that this would be perfect just to add a little bit of length to my natural hair. Because the extensions are only a little bit longer than my natural hair, blending them in is really easy and there is no nasty cut off point from your own hair to the extensions. One thing that I have noticed about the HK Hair Extensions which sets them apart from other brands, is that the hair is so thick, especially towards the ends of the extensions. I've found that in the past that other hair extensions can thin out towards the ends making them look really straggly and in need of a good cut. However the HK Hair Extensions are so glossy and thick from the top of the weft right down to the very tips which makes them look very natural once gripped in to your hair. I absolutely love this about these extensions. 

Which brings me onto the wefts of these hair extensions. The full head of hair extensions comes with a total of ten wefts which includes the quad weft. For me the quad weft really makes this set of hair extensions special as its having four wefts sewn together, making it incredibly thick as its incorporated into one weft; It adds a lot of hair without having the need to add so many clips into your hair which saves time and is just a genius idea. Once you have secured the quad weft in your hair you really feel and notice a difference as to how thick it makes your hair. Alongside the quad weft you get a mixture of 3, 2 and 1 clips which creates the set. I was really impressed with just how sturdy each clip is as there's always that fear of your extensions moving around or budging during the day. I've been wearing these extensions non stop since receiving them and am happy to report back that the clips do not budge at all. Dirty Looks also include a little box of spare clips with your set of hair extensions which is a really nice added touch, just incase you need them. 

Overall I love the HK Hair Extensions from Dirty looks and the quality of the actual hair is amazing. All the hair has been made with human remy hair which means all the cuticles in the hair run in the same direction which makes this just like your own hair. I just find these extensions incredibly soft, glossy and really manageable. The price does vary depending on what length of hair extensions you want to go for, but I honestly think they are worth every penny and if your looking to treat yourselves to some new extensions these are the ones to invest in.

When it comes to styling my hair the words volume and glamorous immediately come to mind - for me nothing beats wearing your hair down, swishing it around and having it look just gorgeous and luscious. However getting it to look like you've had a dozen stylists working on your barnet for a good few hours is impossible, especially for us ladies with busy lifestyles.

When I posted my most recent OOTD (picture above) I was flooded with questions asking how I styled my hair, how I got it so long and looking full of volume... well the big secret is, is that hardly any of the hair that you see in that picture is my own. Yep that's right ladies, I cheated and for this particular outfit I had my 'double volume straight weave' in which was kindly sent to me from Wonderland Wigs. 

In the past I've always been a hair extensions kind of girl, popping them in for big nights out, or just those days I wanted my locks to look that extra bit special. Although the process of applying hair extensions is hardly rocket science, it can be a little time consuming - what with applying each weft of hair in the correct position and if your planning on curling them then that's going to add least 20 minutes on top of your getting ready time. However since receiving my hairpiece from Wonderland Wigs my hair extensions have been made a little redundant as applying a hairpiece takes a matter of minutes and gives you the most amazing looking hair ever. 

Honestly I was so excited when the postman knocked on the door and delivered my hairpiece and within a matter of minutes it was out of the box and had made it's way on to my head. The double volume straight weave has been made from high quality synthetic hair. When I read this on the website I have to say I really had no idea what to expect as the only hairpieces I had used in the past were my hair extensions , which have all been made from 100% human remy hair. However much to my surprise the synthetic hair was really soft, shiny and so natural looking and the length of it was just amazing - I think it's one of every girls wishes to have beautiful long mermaid hair and this hairpiece gives you exactly that, 22 inches of long hair really does look give you that big sexy hair look. I also really love how the hair has been layered and has a slight flick to it at the bottom, which really makes it look so natural once its on. 

What really impressed me the most about this hairpiece is the application time. It states on the box that will only take you five minutes to pop it in your hair and they really aren't kidding. The hairpiece was so easy to apply with its grips sliding easily on to your own hair. As there is such a lot of hair for just a few grips I was slightly concerned about just how well the hairpiece would stay put though the course of the day, but amazingly they are really secure and the hairpiece does not budge at all.

Overall I am so impressed with this weave and if your looking to get lush locks in a matter of minutes then I really recommend that you have a browse though the Wonderland Wigs website as they have loads of different 3/4 hairpieces, from curly hair to dip dye hair with a wide variety of colours and shades to offer. I'm always wanting a volume boost when it comes to my own hair and this weave is packed with volume, I just love how thick and gorgeous it makes my hair look. For £39.99 I think this hairpiece is a great alternative to hair extensions and is just perfect for those nights out or special occasions where your wanting your hair to make a big impact.

Halo Hair Extensions | The Halo Review

A lot of you beauties will have noticed by now that I am completely hair obsessed! I always think you can use all the makeup in the world, but if your having a bad hair day then nothing is going to make you feel better!  However since I started blogging I've been finding out new ways of keeping those bad hair days at bay and the biggest secret that I can share with you lovelies so far has to be Halo Hair!

A little while ago I entered competition by Halo Hair on Twitter and won myself a set of my very own Halo Hair Extensions. WOW.  I was over the moon and super excited when Halo announced that I was their lucky winner and I was able to choose between your normal clip-in extensions or the famous 'Halo' extensions. 

The Halo has to be the ultimate 'no fuss' hair extension. All the hair is attached as one strip, to a clear thin nylon wire which is in this shape of a halo, this is fully adjustable and is made to fit any head shape. 

The adjustable bands around the wire make it very easy for fitting it to the shape of your head and makes the Halo suitable for everyone. You simply pull the wire on either side to shorten to lengthen the Halo. Once you have the Halo sitting perfectly on your head (it should just rest above your ears) you can then start styling your hair!

 To style your hair all you need is a pin tail comb to pull sections of your hair up and over the wire to hide the Halo giving you flawless, perfect hair! It really is the easiest type of hair extension you will ever find.

As you can see from the pictures, once in place the Halo blends really well into the hair and creates really lovely and natural looking hair. One thing that I love about Halo Hair has to be the quality of the hair. Halo only use human remy hair, which means:

As my hair is at a long length naturally, the halo team recommended that I opted for the 20" length, but for those of you with shorter hair there is the option to purchase the halo in in 16". The 20" ones that you can see in this blog post retail for £99.99, which is pricey for hair, but in my opinion completely worth every penny.
