This Girls Gotta Have Em | River Island

Hello gorgeous girlie's. Today's post is another 'This Girls Gotta Have Em' looking at the latest pieces from River Island which I am in love with right now.

Left to Right

Light Pink Stud and Spike Shoes £65.00

I am in love with these heels. One word screams to mind which is amazing.  They are a light pink almost nude colour which means that they will work perfectly with most items in your wardrobe. The added spikes and studs makes them the perfect statement shoe!

Light Pink Pussybow Blouse £25.00

This blouse is so feminine with the gorgeous bow and the colour is simply divine. This would look lovely paired with some leggings or tucked into some high waisted trousers or shorts.

Grey Satin Encrusted Headband £15.00

One of my favourite fashion icons has to be Blake Lively and I've seen countless amount of pictures with here sporting pretty accessories in her hair. This headband reminded me of some of Blake's hairstyles and therefore is a fashion favourite for me. It would jazz up any outfit.

Black Aztec Wolf Print Tank £20.00

I love Aztec, I love pink and the wolf reminds me of Jacob from Twilight which I also love. It goes without saying that I love this tank top!

Beige Neon Trim Binocular Bag £35.00

I always like the thought of bright neon colours but the thought of wearing a neon top or bottoms terrifies me slightly. This bag just has a pop of neon making it not so in your face and great for someone who is like me and just wants to go for  neon but in subtle way. I also love the style of the bag.

Black Slip On Plimsolls £12.00

These plimsolls may not be the most exciting thing on this wish list, but I am a huge fan of the old fashioned plimsoll and think that they look great with so many outfits and especially good for the transition from Winter to Spring. These ones caught my eye as they are an easy slip on and a great price.

Green Aztec Print Leggings £18.00

These leggings are probably one of my most exciting finds on the River Island web page. They are different to any other Aztec prints I've seen and I love how they don't have the print going the whole way around the leg. These would look great with the wolf tank and a great way to rock this seasons trend of clashing prints.

Silver Tone Cross Knuckle Duster Ring £7.00

A cross ring like this is nothing new in the world of fashion, but I have been wanting to get my hands on one for sometime and I completely forgot about my mission to get one until I saw this one on the River Island web page. I thought it would be great to share with you lovely lot in case any of you are still on the hunt for one.

I hoped you enjoyed this fashion fix beauties and I would love to know your thoughts or if there are any items you have seen and are loving right now.

Please note all images have been taken from the River Island Website and the links for each item have been attached. Take care lovelies!

Review | Superdrug Intensive Conditioner

I was in Superdrug the other day and saw a bargain that had to be snatched up right away. It was Superdrug's own brand of Coconut & Sweet Almond Intensive Conditioner. This usually retails at £1.50 but they had it on offer for only 79p. Amazing! I will be honest I wasn't expecting amazing things because of the price but to my surprise this product worked a bit of magic on my hair.

I usually like to treat my hair about twice a week to an intensive conditioning mask what with all the hair products and heat that my hair is exposed to. Its always nice to give something back to your hair to really lock all that moisture back in again and restore it. We all want luscious locks and this beauty has certainly helped to bring back some shine and softness to my hair.

The conditioner has such a think consistency and feels very heavy in your hair. Having really fine hair I was worried that this would leave my hair a little greasy afterwards. But instead of grease I found that my hair was super shiny and it really brought out my highlights.

I also love the smell of coconut and the bottle states it has coconut oil within the conditioner which works wonders for dry damaged hair. However when smelling the product in the bottle I thought that it did smell a little plastic which was a bit off putting. Luckily tit didn't transfer on to my hair at all just the lovely smell of coconut and almond. All in all I was really pleased with this intensive conditioner and for the price you can't go wrong.

However for those with sensitive skin please be warned that I did find this product did slightly irritate my skin  when a huge chunk of it slid down my face and managed to get up my nose (don't know how haha) This was not pleasant at all. But once rinsed off thoroughly it was fine.

I love trying out hair masks so if any of you beauties have any recommendations please leave it in the comments below.

This Girls Gotta Have Em | Jack Wills

From left to right

Hello beauties, those who keep up to date with my blog will have noticed that I had a blog post titled 'This Girls Gotta Have Em'  in lasts weeks post and I have decided to make this into a weekly series for you, hence the name of today’s title. Each week you will see selected items from one brand or store that I want to get my hands on. These lists will have no limitations on pricing and is a chance for me and you to day dream about the clothes or products we adore. Today's brand that I will be looking at is Jack Wills.

From left to right

Folkstone Tee £44.00

I love this tee coloured in vintage white. There are so many bright colours for spring/summer trends which I love. However I'm still drawn to the classic white and think it looks fabulous when the weather starts to warm up. Any tee will look lovely with shorts, especially this one. The picture that you see has been taken from the back of the top. It has this gorgeous lace design that runs down the middle making this tee so feminine and delicate. This would look amazing a few sizes bigger with some nice shorts, sandals and a tan or a pair of light wash skinny jeans.

Ellington Short £59.00

As you all know I am a huge fan of coral especially the brighter shades and these shorts are a fabulous. These would brighten any outfit up adding a pop of colour and would go with any tee especially the two shown in the picture.

Hollingfast Trouser £59.00

These floral navy trousers cut off at the ankle are so preppy which I love. It's not a look that I would usually go for but this season is all about the different prints, these paired with a simple top and casual blazer would make a gorgeous outfit.

Atwoodley Cable Sweater £69

Its still ever so cold outside and a warm jumper is still a necessity for those chilly days. One of my favourite designs that you can get on a jumper has to be the classic cable knit. I have worn so many think jumpers as of the winter and have not seen many grey ones, so I was immediately drawn to this one. Sometimes I do prefer grey to back especially when it comes to pairing it with bright colours as its not so harsh looking. This jumper gets huge thumbs up from me and comes in a variety of colours including a hot pink and turquoise.

Lankenby Dress £69

I adore floral prints and dresses, when the two are combined I fall in love. This dress has a lovely detailed bow at the top of the dress and comes in at the waist creating the lovely hourglass look. It looks so vintage and girly and would look great dressed up or down.

Wadley Tee £34

I love the sailor graphic design on this tee. I am a huge fan of the nautical look which is around this season as you will see the classic navy blue and lots of stripes in most stores. It would look fabulous tucked into the coral shorts with the sleeves slightly rolled up to add some dimension.

Glenthorne Brogue £198

Working on a ladies footwear department, I have seen shoe after shoe and brogues were a bit hit last year. However rarely have I seen any in a bright white. I love the look of brogues but unfortunately they never really look right on my feet. But these white ones look smart and are a lot more feminine that your average black or brown ones. I think that they would look great paired with any of the items above.

As you can guess I am a bit of a fan of the Jack Wills brand. You do see a lot of people wearing the classic hoodies, gilets and joggers which is great for comfort. However looking past this they do have a great line of clothing which is the preppy English style which really ties in with the brands ethos 'Fabulously British'.  If you do like this look or would like to see more then you can find all the items on here on the Jack Wills webpage here.  Please note that all the images were taken from here.

I was inspired with the looks from today’s post when Jack Wills sent me out their seasonal handbook which is a catalogue filled with images and look books. This arrived though my letter box on Tuesday and if you would like to get your hands on one then you can simply order it online for free and they will send you one out every season.

Another thing beauties, forgive me I know this post has been a long one! When my Handbook was sent to me, I also received a little insert which explained that Jack Wills also have another Brand called Aubin Wills. They are offering 30% using a redeemable code for any purchase online. I wont be using this offer simply because I have no money at the moment to splurge, but if any of you would like to use it send me your shopping list to misssunshinesparkle@hotmail.com with your shopping list. Whoever has the most items in their basked will get the code. The offer ends on the 31st March and is the UK only.

Take care my lovelies!

Review | Studio Secrets Professional Fibre Mascara Primer

Hello beauties. The other day I posed a Snow Queen makeup look that was inspired by the snow and I had a lot of comments not only about the makeup look itself but the mascara that I used to make my lashes look full and elongated.  So I thought I would share with you my secret!

When shopping for mascara I am generally not fussy and usually go with what’s on offer wherever I am shopping. Thankfully I have been blessed with fairly long lashes which is probably why I take on the attitude that any mascara will do. Although I do like my natural lashes I'm always wanting them to look full of volume and long. I find that they key to achieving this look with any mascara is to use a good lash primer as it will make a huge difference in the way your mascara is applied.

I've always been a fan of a lash primer, some say it’s not necessary for part of a daily makeup routine and don't get me wrong I don't use it everyday. But for those days where you’re wanting a bit more va va voom lash primer is defiantly the way forward. My favourite currently has to be the Studio Secrets Professional Fibre Mascara Primer - False Lash Effect from L’Oreal (bit of a mouthful!) I have found it works the best and every time I have used it I've always gotten compliments. It retails for around the £10 mark and you can purchase it from Boots

Some of you may think that this is a tad on the pricey side for a lash primer, but its a lot cheaper alternative to lash extensions and buying high end mascara. This product is also great if your not one for false eyelashes either but want that same effect. You could pair this lash primer with the cheapest of mascaras and still have the false lash effect.

 Natural Lashes on their own
 Lashes with the primer
Lashes with Maybelline Colossal Volume Express-Cat Eyes Mascara | One coat applied

As you can see from the pictures my lashes have lengthened and became a lot thinker, creating volume. I will be honest and say I am not a huge fan of the Maybelline Mascara in Cat Eyes. Without the primer I personally feel that it doesn't do much for my lashes and when I first took the product out of the packaging thought that the formula had dried up and that I had a faulty one. I now know that this is not the case; the other Maybelline Mascaras in the Colossal Volume Express range are good though, I think its just personal preference. I just don't sway towards this one as much. In the picture I've only used one coat of mascara, but if you were to apply two or three coats you would get an amazing false lash effect using the L'Oreal Lash Primer.

Studio Secrets Professional Fibre Mascara Primer - False Lash Effect wand

Maybelline Colossal Volume Express-Cat Eyes Mascara and wand

The one thing I do love about the Maybelline mascara though has to be the wand; the curved shape of it makes it glide though your lashes expertly and is great for coating the lower lashes.

I hope you enjoyed this review lovelies and I would love to know your thoughts and what lash primers you have tried as I am always looking out for new ones to try out.
