Rimmel Apocalips 'Apocoliptic' | Review

Hello lovely ladies! I thought I would finally get a post up and give you my thoughts on the famous 'Apocalips' by Rimmel which were brought out at the beginning of the year. Now I'm so extremely late on this bandwagon I know as these must be by far the most hyped about products so far this year and I've only just gotten around to getting my beauty mitts on them - And shockingly I only picked up one, why I don't know as I've well and truly fallen head over heals in love with the shade that I picked out which is 'Apololiptic' which is the most gorgeous bright fuchsia shade EVER and as I'm sure your all aware by now, I adore my brights. When I was going on my Boots shopping trip, there was so many other makeup bits that I needed to pick up that I could only justify picking up one shade, but there were so many gorgeous colours that it was difficult to choose just one. But after wearing 'Apocoliptic' on my lips all week, I feel like I need to own every shade in the collection as I just love this product so much.

So Rimmel describe the Apocalips as a 'lip lacquer  (which I always thought was the old term for a 'lipstick'?) and I find they are highly pigmented just like a lipstick, but at the same time it gives your lips a coating of glossiest gloss you could ever imagine. I would say that the 'Apocalips' is a product which is somewhere inbtween a lipstick, lip gloss and lip stain all in one, which makes it completely unique and nothing I've ever tried before. On initial application, the Apocalips feels so creamy, so smooth and glides on just like a lipstick, its just dreamy to apply. When on, it feels like wearing a lipstick, except your left with such a beautiful glossy finish. The staying power is unbelievably amazing and I find that the colour last for hours. - Admittedly they gloss does fade after a little while, but your still left with the most incredible colour on your lips. I just love how pigmented they are and couldn't believe that with one coat I was able to achieve an a completely opaque look, and the shade that you see in the tube, is the exact colour which will transfer onto your lips. 

The doe foot applicator makes applying the Apocalips a really easy application which allows you to be precise and accurate which is exactly what you need with a product which is this rich in colour. I've found that if your careful with your application there is no need to line your lips either, which is always a bonus. However I do find that when initially applied, the product can feel a little wet and heavy on your lips and you do need to allow the product some time to fully set onto your lips (around five minutes is just fine). There have been a few times where I have applied 'Apocoliptic' just before walking out the door for work, the wind as blown my hair every in every direction and the odd bit of hair strand that has landed on my lips has smeared the product in little wispy lines across my face - And I've only noticed the pink lines around my face when looking in the mirrors at work and think to myself, oh dear this is not a good look! Has anyone else had this problem? My lesson has been learnt though and if I leave the product to really set and work into my lips then I have no problem with smudging whatsoever. 

I've also found that wearing 'Apololiptic' seams to make my lips look so much fuller and plumper than what they actually are, I'm not sure if this is just because the colour payout of it is just that good, but either way I love the effect that this gives. As beautiful as the colour looks on, I  do find that these can feel a little drying on your lips, but it's not so bad that it bothers me and when I'm getting a product that makes my lips just fabulous I can easily overlook this. - So if you are looking for a lip product that is going to moisturise and hydrate your lips, this may not be the product for you.

 As well as the actual product being just amazing, I absolutely adore the packaging. The black crystal effect lid gives this lip lacquer a bit of an edge and makes it look a lot more expensive than what it actually is. And I love how you can see your chosen colour in the tube, with all its prettiness on show - Whipping one of these out of your makeup bag for a touch up is just a joy and makes me smile every time! 

Apart from the odd smearing and the product being a little bit drying on your lips, I can't fault these in anyway and I think I would even go far enough to say that 'Apocoliptic' has to be one of my most favourite lip products of all time. I love the bright pink fuchsia shade and love the way it looks on my lips. With the weather slowly starting to get a little bit warmer, the tans will be coming out and this pretty pink will look just amazing with a tan and is the perfect accessory to brighten up your life a little. I'm definitely going to be picking up more shades, I'm thinking 'Big Bang' and 'Stella' as they look just gorgeous. Boots have a three for two off across all their makeup right now so this seams like a perfect time to pick up some more shades and I think with its £4.99  price tag, makes the 'Apocalips' the lip bargain of the year!

March Favourites

Happy weekend you fabulous beauty babes, who is as excited as me that the weekend is finally here, does anyone have any exciting plans? I'm just planning on having a chilled out one after a very busy and hectic week at work. I'm still pretty shocked like most you probably are that April is now in full swing and Easter has been and gone, where has the time gone I ask? So the beginning of the month is sure to bring one thing for any beauty blogger, that is of course a monthly favourites post. So here's a little summary of all the products I have been loving and using religiously though March... 

L'Oreal GlamShine Stain Splash 

I have been in love with these lip lacquers since I got my beauties mitts on them. I love how easy they are to apply and the shades are so bright and ever so wearable. Usually I'm not a fan on lip stains, but these ones from L'Oreal are a lip stain with a twist as they add a lovely glossy shine on your lips too. I purchased the colours 'Juliet', 'Princess' and 'Romy' and I find myself alternating each colour though the week depending on what I'm wearing and what makeup look I'm going for. All three shades are equally beautiful, but I think 'Romy' (the light pink one) is my favourite as it makes such a perfect everyday lip colour -Think your lips but better, kind of shade. It's definitely been getting the most use. I'm looking to purchase more of these GlamShine Stains as the quality and lasting time of them are just fabulous. I mean the fact that you can take a sip of your drink without leaving that awful lip stain around the rim is just amazing! Revlon PhotoReady Concealer 

This is a little bit of a cheat, adding this concealer into this post as it's a fairly new purchase, but I think its such a fabulous concealer, it would just be rude of me not to add it into this months favourites post. The Revlon PhotoReady Concealer is just so creamy and blends like a dream - I've been having a lot of sleepless late nights recently, and I love how this concealer has completely opened and brightened my eye area up. I would say it's definitely one of those concealers that work amazingly at highlighting, and probably not the best to use for any blemishes. But if you are wanting to camouflage any dark circles then I would definitely recommend that you beauties give this ago. Might I add, I'm usually so put off by concealers in a stick form due to them being quite 'hard' and the tendency they have to drag across your skin- But this one from Revlon is just so easy to use and it feels as though it just melts away from the stick upon application. Definitely give this ago beauties. 

Ascel Inverse Youth Recall Serum.

If your looking to add a new skincare product into your daily routine, this is the product that I definitely recommend you give ago. The Inverse Youth Recall Serum is primarily one that will help reverse any signs of ageing and one that will help to banish any fine lines or wrinkles you may have. Although I am no where near at this wrinkly stage in my life yet, you may be wondering why I love this product so much. This serum is so hydrating and feels ever so soft on your skin. I've been using this every morning and night for the last month and have found that the overall appearance of my skin looks much more even and brighter. I've also found that it's done a fantastic job and minimising my pores and works as a fantastic primer for your makeup. GHD Style Heat Protect Spray

Although it's not impossible to go a week without using any kind of heated appliance in your hair (the proof is here) I do find myself reaching for my hairdryer on those mornings where I don't have time to let my hair dry naturally and when it comes to using any type of heat in your hair, a good heat defence spray is just a must. I have been loving this one from the GHD Style Range as I really feel that it's giving my hair an extra layer of protection when applying heat. Not to mention that it makes my hair ever so soft to the touch and just dreamy. Think of how your hair feels and smells when you've just come out of the salon, this Style Heat Protect Spray will give you just that feeling, which I personally love. This spray also makes me feel a lot less guilty about adding heat to my hair and for that reason alone I love it, have a look at the spray in action in my post here. Since I've had this spray I finding myself using this almost everyday without fail. 

Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paints

Right at the very beginning of March I treated myself to some of the Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paints (even though I'm on a nail polish spending ban....naughty naughty). I had seen these polishes being much raved about throughout the blogging community and was so eager to try them out for myself. I picked out the colours 'Blueberry' and 'Greenberry' as I feel that I don't wear enough blues and greens on my nails and the colours of these two polishes are just out of this world beautiful and perfect for Spring. There so lovely on your nails that these are the only two polishes that I have been wearing on my nails this month. Blueberry definitely has to be my favourite of the two as its just such a pretty blue which does lean on the purple side ever to slightly. The formula of these Gelly Hi-Shine polishes are amazing and two coats is more than enough to achieve the colour in the bottle and the shine that they give off is just amazing, I'm sure if you looked hard enough you could see your own reflection... Maybe? :)

Ascel Inverse Youth Recall Serum | Review

Having a good skincare routine for anyone is so important and I am always on the hunt for new skincare products that I can work into my daily skincare routine. I think with products making so many claims of what they 'can do' these days, it can be hard to find the right products that actually do what it says on the box and work with your skin. Since using my Estee Lauder Advance Night Repair Serum (review here) I've fallen in love with face serums and completely see their benefits, so when the lovely people at Tanning and Beauty World contacted me and asked if I would like to try the award winning Inverse Youth Recall Serum from Ascel, I was over the moon, especially seeing as my beloved (and pricey) AVN is on its lasts legs. 

As with any skincare product, they all claim to have different benefits and the Youth Recall Serum from Ascel claims sound very exciting to anyone who is wanting to improve the appearance of their skin and reverse any ageing. Here's what is says on the box -

'Reverse the skin ageing by stimulating natural cell renewal, collagen production, while improving firmness and elasticity. The result is a reduction in wrinkles, smoother, firmer, radiant, and youthful looking skin within weeks.' 

A few of you maybe shaking your heads right now and maybe thinking 'Danielle I'm only young, why do I need an anti-wrinkle serum?', but I am a firm believer that prevention is key ladies and that its well and truly okay to start using products that help to maintain youthful healthy looking skin at any age (well from 20 onwards I think is a good way to judge it). Although my skin is nowhere near the wrinkly stage yet, I am at an age where I'm starting to get those fine laughter lines under my eyes and finding a product that would make these disappear would be a dream. Of course no product on the market is going to completely banish any lines you may have, but if you can help reduce them and make your overall appearance better, then that's okay with me. What really gets me excited about this Youth Recall Serum is the fact that the serum helps combat any redness and reduces the size of your pores and after using this serum religiously morning and night for two weeks I can honestly say I've noticed a huge difference in the overall appearance of my skin. My pores are a lot less noticeable, especially when I'm having a makeup free day which gives me more confidence to embrace a no makeup look (even if I am only in my own home). For years I have always seamed to have a bit of redness around my cheek area, which is always noticeable after washing my face- But since using the Ascel Serum, I've noticed that my skin tone is now much more even and appears a lot brighter - Which I love. 

I don't think I've been using the Ascel Youth Recall Serum long enough to say to you all that my little laughter lines have completely gone (in truth they are still there), but I have noticed that my eyes seam a lot less puffy, and this serum does an amazing job at making your under eye dark circles so much lighter, which is fabulous if your like me and are a terrible sleeper. Ascel recommend that you apply three to four pumps of this serum every morning and night, to achieve the best results. I've found that two pumps is more than enough to coat my entire face and neck and there is even enough left over to rub on the back of my hands (this is also a place that shows signs of ageing early) and I find it's best if you apply this just before your moisturiser. I will be honest and say I was a little worried about applying this in the morning  as I have oily to combination skin and adding another layer onto my skin as well as moisturiser and followed by a full face of makeup could lead to everything sliding off my face. But I can happily report, that this has made no difference as to how my makeup stays on during the day - In fact I find it makes an excellent primer as my makeup seams to stay on a lot longer, and there has been a lot less touch ups of the powder. Could this be due to the fact my pores are minimising from using the serum? I don't know, but either way I think that this is a fantastic little extra perk from using this serum.

What I really love about the Ascel Youth Recall Serum is the way it applies and feels on my skin. The actual serum is very lightweight and when initially applied it feels a little wet on your skin, but after a few seconds it dries and makes your skin feel ever so soft and hydrated. It's one of those products that makes you feel as though your doing your skin the world of good when applying it. Not to mention the smell of this serum is just amazing. The best way I can describe the scent, is that it smells like a less heavily scented version of the Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue perfume, which might I add is my favourite perfume EVER! The scent hangs around long enough for you to enjoy it, but once you've had the serum on for around five minutes you can no longer smell it. 

As for the packaging, I think Ascel have done a wonderful job, as this serum looks a lot more expensive than it's £26.95 price tag. The serum comes in a generous 50ml tube and a little of this stuff goes a long way, so this will last for ages. The silver mirrored effect bottle makes this really stand out on your dresser and the pump at the top makes dispensing the serum easy without creating any mess (other than a few fingerprint marks on the bottle). I also love that down the side of the bottle is a clear line which shows the product inside, so you can judge just how much product your using and how much you have left. It's packaging is just one of those types, that get you excited about using a product and without fail the beauty geek within me gets ever so excited about using this every morning and night.

Overall I think this is a fantastic serum and if your looking to try a face serum, to help reduce fine lines, give you the appearance of brighter and healthier skin then I would definitely recommend you try giving this ago. Although I can't comment on how well it works on any major lines on your face, this serum is packed with collagen which is known to help to give the skin a tightening and lifting effect. Halo Hair Extensions | Washing & Maintaining Them

Hello lovely ladies! Those of you who have been following Miss Sunshine & Sparkle for a little while, will all know by now that I am a bit hair obsessed (and if your a new follower here, I'm telling you now... I am hair OBSESSED). Now I adore long hair, and adore hair extensions just as much just because I love how they can create the illusion of thicker, fuller and longer hair. A little while ago now I was lucky enough to be made a 'Halo Angel' by the lovely people at Halo Hair and have been in love with their Hair Extensions - If you would like to read all about Halo Hair Extensions and the different type of extensions they have to offer you can read my last post here. If you are a lover of Halo Hair Extensions or any hair extension for that matter, you will know the importance of maintaining them to keep them looking in tip top condition. Especially seeing as good quality human remy hair extensions are not the cheapest thing to buy, you want to make sure that you get the best out of your extensions and keep them looking fabulously for as long as possible. After all they are made from real hair and need as much tender loving care as your own locks. So I thought I would get a post up for you lovely lot and share with you all my tips for washing and maintaining your Halo Hair. 

First of all let me start with washing your Halo Hair Extensions. The amount of times you need to wash your hair extensions really does depend on how many times a week you wear them and what kind of daily activities you do whilst wearing them. If I'm planning on wearing my extensions four to five times a week, then washing them weekly is a must for me. But if I have weeks where I don't really wear them I will just wash them when the time feels right. I normally judge when to wash my Halo Hair Extensions by the look of them and judge by the texture and feel of the hair. Keep in mind that your hair extensions are human remy hair and just like normal hair, they will get product build up and will need washing and looking after just like your own hair. However many times you choose to wash your hair extensions, I think it's important to pick and choose the right products for the job. Below is my little list of products I like to use when washing my Halo Hair, by no means am I saying that this is what you should use, but I find that these are the products that work best for me and my hair extensions.

Aussie Miracle Leave-In Conditioner - In the pictures you may see that this is the Aussie Leave-In Conditioner for coloured hair, which works amazingly, but I tend to prefer to use Aussie's Luscious Long Leave-In Conditioner, but mine had run out. However any leave-in conditioner will do the trick.

Aussie Maga Shampoo - This is a great shampoo that will get rid of any product build up on your hair extensions. If your like me and like to curl your extensions and like to use a lot of hairspray, this shampoo will ensure to get rid of all of that product and condition your hair extensions at the same time.

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructive - This is by far my most favourite conditioner and works wonders on my own locks and will be sure to leave your Halo Hair Extensions luxuriously soft and help to reconstruct any damage done at the same time. If you can't get your beauty mitts on this, any deep conditioning treatment will work wonders. However you don't want one that's too heavy as this could weigh your hair extensions down. I find Aussie 3MM has a good balance.

Hask Hair Argan Oil - Hair Oils are like a little angel from heaven all in a little tube and will work amazingly on your hair extensions, it will add shine and help prevent the ends of your hair extensions from splitting. This one from Hask Hair is a favourite of mine, but any good hair oil will do.

A wide tooth comb - I always find it better to brush your Halo Hair Extensions with a wide tooth comb to prevent any damage whilst brushing, but if you have a Tangle Teaser this will work just as good, if not better.

Step One: Spray in your leave-in conditoner and brush though your hair extensions gently. This will get out any knots or tangles before you start washing them and the leave-in conditioner will just help your brush to glide though the hair with minimum fuss and prevent any of the hair from falling away from the weft. 

Step Two: Start running the tap, so you are ready to start washing your hair extensions. I find that lukewarm water works best. If the water is too hot you can risk damaging the hair extensions, but you want it warm enough so that the hair gets a good thorough clean.  When washing each individual weft of hair you want to ensure that each clip is clasped shut, to prevent the hair getting tangled in the clips. You will also want to hold your hair extension at the top of the clip to avoid the clip getting wet. 

Step Three: When washing your hair extensions, I find applying a generous splodge of shampoo into my finger tips works best - Starting at the top of the weft, gently massage the shampoo into the hair and work your way down the hair. Using small circular motions down the hair works up a nice amount of lather. When you feel that your hair extensions have had a good clean with your shampoo, you will want to gently rinse the shampoo all out till the water runs clear. 

Step Four & Five: You will then want to apply your leave in conditioner, using the same method as you did when shampooing your hair extensions. However instead of rinsing the conditioner out right away, I take my wide tooth comb and working my way from bottom to top, gently brush the conditioner though the hair. This will get rid of any knots that may have occurred though shampooing and ensure that your conditioner coats each strand of hair. Instead of rising the conditioner off right away, I leave each weft of hair on the side, laid out on a towel, so the hair can have a good conditioning treatment. By the time you have completed this process with each weft of hair, the weft you started off conditioning will of had a good dose of conditioner and will be ready for rinsing. 

Step Six: You will then want to rinse out all of your conditioner carefully, to avoid your extensions from getting tangled. You will feel that the hair feels ever so soft and glides though your finger tips with ease. I find that rising the conditioner out works best if you massage and swirl the hair though your finger tips under the running water at the same time. 

Step Seven: Once each weft of hair has been rinsed thoroughly, you will want to gently squeeze any excess water from the extension (just like you would your own hair when getting out of the shower) and lay flat on a towel to start drying.

Step Eight: Once all your Halo Hair Extensions have been rinsed and are laying there on your towel, smelling super clean and feeling ever so soft, you will want to place another towel over the top and gently pat your hands down over the towel. This will help to drain any excess water and is a bit like towel drying your hair after you've washed it but in a more careful way and a lot less rough on the hair too.

Step Nine: Now you Halo Hair Extensions have had a good thorough clean you will want to pop a pea sized amount of your hail oil into the palm of your hands and work the oil from the middle section of your hair extensions all the way to the tips. Just like applying hair oil to your own hair, you don't want to take it all the way to the top, just because it may weigh your extensions down a little and you don't want to add any excess shine here because that's where your own hair is prone to getting greasy. Once each weft has had a little bit of a pamper with the hair oil, you will want to lay your Halo Hair down evenly, spread out on a towel, take your comb and carefully brush though the hair. As you can see from the picture above this separates the hair, which speeds up the drying time and helps your hair extensions to dry straight.

 Step Ten: When washing my Halo Hair Extensions, I like to leave them overnight so they can fully dry. I don't know why, but hair extensions always seam to take a lot longer to dry than your own hair. You can of course always take a hairdryer to speed things up, but to help the longevity of your hair extensions, I would avoid adding heat to them where you can. Once your hair extensions have thoroughly dried, you will notice that they still have a few kinks and a bit off added frizz to them (just like your own hair). If your a wavy hair kind of girl, you could easily skip this step and your hair extensions are ready to wear. However I tend to wear my  hair straight an awful lot, so the next step for me would be to straighten each weft of hair. I always use a heat defence spray before applying - It's a must. The GHD Style Heat Protect Spray is a firm favourite of mine (review here). Once your Halo Hair Extensions have been straightened, they come out super shiny, look good as new and are ready to wear right away. 

Washing your Halo Hair Extensions really is as easy and simple as that ladies. However I would say the process of washing your extensions can take quite awhile (it takes me a good hour) so set aside some time to do the job properly and thoroughly. Just remember that looking after your hair extensions is just like looking after your own hair, and using all the right products on your extensions will help them looking neat, healthy and luxurious at all times. I adore my Halo Hair Extensions and they are by far the best hair extensions I have ever tried using (believe me I've tried quite a few). The clips are sturdy and secure perfectly into your hair and I've found that apart from a few stubborn knots, there is never any hair fall out from the weft.

Easter Egg Nail Art

Happy Easter gorgeous girls! I hope your all having a fabulous weekend and if your lucky enough, enjoying the bank holidays. I've had to work on Friday and will be working again Monday, no four day weekend for me booo :(. But regardless of that, I still intend to enjoy every bit of this weekend and get into the Easter grove. I'm up north visiting my nana and will be off out this evening to celebrate my dads birthday - Fun fun fun! As with any occasion painting your nails is a must, and today I felt inspired to do some Easter Egg nail art. 

There was no great difficultly in achieving this simple nail art design, I simply picked out the colours I wanted on my nails and went a bit wild with my dotting tool. I combined lines and dots to achieve a nail look that somewhat resembles the wrapping of an Easter Egg, pretty cool I think and very appropriate for this weekend. I really love this design as its fun, super cute and I'm able to wear a lot of pretty colours all at once. You can get this look, or create something similar with three easy peasy steps.

1. Paint your nails a base colour, I've used a sheer baby pink as I've lost my white nail polish. I think a light colour will work best for this as it will make all the other colours really pop and stand out.

2. Once your nails are dry, take a nail striper or nail art pen and draw two lines horizontally across the nail. Then take a dotting tool and at the tip of the nails, dot loads of dots in a row to create a pretty scalloped edge.

3. Once your stripes have all dried, take your dotting tool and place dots different shapes and sizes on and in-between your lines (be dotting crazy as your like). Once all your dots have dried seal your design with a topcoat to smooth out any bumps and to give your nails that super glossy look.

Mac Paint Pot 'Let's Skate!' | Review

 

If you've seen my latest post, which was my Mac and Boots Haul, you ladies will know that I treated myself to a new Paint Pot from Mac in 'Let's Skate'. When I went to the Mac counter, the only thing that I knew for certain I was treating myself too was the Eye Kohl eyeliner in Smolder and I had no intention of picking up this paint pot at all. I had only heard about Let's Skate when I was catching up with my YouTube videos and saw Fleur De Force and Sprinkle of Glitter raving about it. I must admit I was intrigued as it looked ever so pretty, but it wasn't something I felt that I needed. So when the little Paint Pot stand was right in front of me, the beauty blogger in me was desperate to have a swatch and I have to say it was love at first sight - It is just so pretty and I knew that I would be regretting not buying it big time, if I didn't take this home with me. 

Mac's 'Let's Skate' is the most beautiful champagne pink colour, filled with tons of finely milled iridescent glitter which is more on the golden side. This Paint Pot is definitely not for you girls who don't like your glitter or shimmer as 'Let's Skate' has it in bundles. As much as I love a bit of glitter, I don't want it too look as though I've thrown a load of glitter onto my lids, and as glittery as 'Let's Skate' is, I find it the shimmer in it to be subtle as its more of a light reflecting glitter - And when applied looks stunning on. The glitter in 'Let's Skate' reminds me of the shimmer you see shining though in the snow, when the light reflects off it and this Paint Pot definitely has that  wintry feel to it. In the pot 'Let's Skate' looks very opaque and would look as though it's a soft baby pink, but actually applies very sheer and becomes more of a pealesque white shade with pink undertones. I love how you can build it up to achieve a shade which is more similar to what you see in the pot, without it feeling too cakey on. 

Mac Paint Pots are much hyped about in the world of beauty for their longwear, texture and versatility and 'Let's Skate' in my opinion really does tick all the boxes, I love it. Since buying this I've worn it just on it's own, for a quick easy daytime look and it lasted all day on my lids without any creasing whatsoever. The creamy formula applies so easily just with your finger tips, and although its glittery, it in no way feels grainy to the touch. There's nothing worse than an eye product giving you that scratchy feeling when you apply it. Although applying this is easy, I find that it does dry pretty quickly, so you do have to work pretty fast and only work on one eye at a time. Other than that I can't fault it in anyway. I'm also loving the way that this Paint Pot blends out, and with the excess product that's on my fingers after application, I find myself taking the leftover product up onto my brow bone, as it makes a lovely highlight. I also think 'Let's Skate' is  extremely versatile, which makes it a great all round eye product - It will work fabulously as a base for your other eye shadows and because the colour is so sheer it can be paired with pretty much any colour shadow you like! The sheer pink tones means that it will work perfectly with all your 'cool' eye shadows - I found that deep purples and cool greys look great paired with this. Whist the golden shimmer within the product means that you can pair 'Let's Skate' with a lot of you neutral shades too. In the pictures below I've used it as a base and applied 'Naked' over the lid and 'blended 'Buck into the crease, which makes a  perfect warm daytime look. There is so much shimmer in 'Let's Skate' that I find that even when I apply an eye shadow over the top, you can still see the shimmer coming though and I love how this changes the look of you every day eye shadows too. Hopefully you will be able to see how shimmery this Paint Pot is in the pictures below, but it was refusing to be captured in its true beauty (keep in mind that 'Naked' and 'Buck' are both matte shadows).

Priced at £14.50 from the Mac Website I do think that it is a little on the pricey side for what it is, but at the same time I think that this is such a unique shade that it's worth every penny and I can see myself getting a lot of use out of it. It really has lived up to it's expectation, from that 'love at first sight' swatch while I was in Mac. I think it's ever so pretty, girly and think this will look amazing in the summer months too or prefect on holiday as the sun reflecting on the glitter will look just beautiful.
