Tickle Me Pink || Pink Beauty Products for Spring

I was hoping to get this pink products related post up for Valentines seeing as it was the week for love and romance, but what a total fail that turned out to be thanks to my Internet completely not working at all last week! That to one side I really wanted to get this post up for you all and was trying to think of the perfect moment to do so. Now I know that Spring has not even started yet (it does feel like forever for Winter to die out) but the other day I did see some daffodils starting to spout which made me think Spring is definitely on its way... HURRAY! 

I know I'm not alone here when I say I co-ordinate my makeup to match the seasons and whilst I get so excited to wear those gorgeous berry toned colours come Winter time, I'm a pretty in pink girl at heart and I can't wait for the comeback of Spring and Summer colours. Blame the daffodils or just my excitement, but I thought I would show you some of my favourite pink beauty products which I think will be perfect for Spring. 

Lipsticks: Left to Right

Deborah Milano Shine Creator Lipstick Shade 8*

As a lot of you know I have a weakness for pink lipsticks, especially this Shine Creator one from Deborah Milano. I was kindly gifted this last summer and since then it's been loved and treasured. These Shine Creator lipsticks have a very similar formula to the Revlon Lip Butters, but are much more hydrating and pigmented in my opinion. Shade 8 is such a gorgeous and bright fuchsia colour which is really rich in colour, has such a creamy formula and really makes you lips shine as well as giving them a pop of colour. This will be the perfect lipstick to wear with those cute ditzy floral dresses that always make a comeback during Spring time. Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick - Neon Rose 

First of all, how lovely is the name of this lipstick - I don't know about anyone else but I love when companies give their products cute little names. As the name suggests this lipstick from Boujois is a bright neon pink lipstick and I know its a little early on in the year for neon (for some, not me) I just can't help myself. I love LOVE this bright neon pink. Its a stunning rosy pink neon that has blue undertones to it and whenever I wear it I do think its a little Barbie, which is again something I love and don't mind. I love lipsticks that really make your lips pop and this shade is just gorgeous for Easter time! Again I have a full review of this lipstick and you can find it here.

L'Oreal Color Riche Julianne's Nude - Collection Privee 

Seeing as I've raved about two really bright, but beautiful lipsticks for Spring, I thought I would tone things down just a little for those of you who are more into your nudes. Now when it comes to lipsticks pink nudes totally have my name written all over them and I find them to be the the only nudes that suit me and what I feel comfortable wearing. My favourite pinky nude to date has to be Julianne's Nude lipstick from the L'Oreal Color Riche collection. As far as I'm aware this was a limited edition lipstick, but I've still seen it stocked in my local Boots. I absolutely adore this lipstick and think its gives you the perfect nude lip. The pink tones to it don't give you those manikin lips and give you a lovely warmth of colour. I love wearing this lipstick when I'm wearing a smokey eye and I know I'm going to keep reaching for it throughout Spring. If you would like to see my full review ,again you can read it here.

Ted Baker Glitter Eyeshadow

Now this post would not be complete unless I added a touch of sparkle to it and as my blog name suggests I love me a bit of sparkle! Just after Christmas I was gifted this gorgeous glitter eyeshadow by Ted Baker from one of my besties Meg. Her words exactly where 'I know you love pink, sparkle, glitter and Ted Baker so this is the perfect product for you' - which is so true! The glitter in this eyeshadow is what I would describe as a champagne coloured pink and it looks so pretty on. I love using this just above my eyeliner or on my lower lash line for a bit on understated sparkle. I've still yet to use this full out over my eye lids but I can imagine it looks beautiful once on. I'm not sure where you can buy this as I've only seen Ted Baker cosmetics around Christmas time so if any of you know where I can please let me know in the comments below as I love this glitter pot!

Sleek Blush - Flamingo

If you've seen some of my latest blog posts then you know that I'ma  big fan of Sleek blushers and you can read all about my love for one of their blush palettes here. However if I had to pick one blusher to choose from Sleek, Flamingo would win by a mile. I love this blusher and it's the perfect one to use if your after gorgeous rosy cheeks. I know in the pan its extremly bright, and whilst it is super pigmented the lightest touch with your blusher brush will give you the prettiest flush of colour to your cheeks. Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Buttercream 

I think the Sugar Crush scented products from Soap & Glory are a firm favourite among us beauty blogggers and its definitely one of mine. As much as I love this delicious sweet lime scented body butter from Soap & Glory its not really I scent I gravitate towards during winter, it's definitely more of a Spring and Summer scent as its just so fresh. Now Spring is just around the corner I know that this is going to be my go too body butter and the fact that its contained in hot pink packaging makes it perfect for this post.

Sienna X Radiance Body Balm

I know its a little way off before we start flashing a bit of skin, especially on your arms and legs, but I do know that I will be going full steam ahead on my fake tanning routine now that Winter will soon be behind us. I love tanning as I always feel that I look better and have much more confidence with a tan. One product that I love using with a tan has to be the Sienna X Radiance Body Balm as it does an amazing job at hydrating your skin and adding a lovely sparkly but subtle sheen to your skin. This little bottle was gifted to me by one of my besties Gem over at Miss Makeup Magpie ( I know you all know her) as she knows how much I love tanning. I love how silky smooth this balm makes my skin and it does a great job at giving your skin an luminescent sheen which makes your skin look perfect. This is the perfect balm to use for any party nights out that you have coming up, especially if your thinking about bearing all and getting your pins out!

Deborah Milano 24Ore Velvet Eye Shadow 'Rose'

If you happened to take a read of my August Favourites post (here) you will know that I am a big fan of my Deborah Milano Shine Creator Lipstick. Being the lipstick lover that I am you'll have to trust me when I say its just Ah-Ma-Zing! So I wore the biggest grin ever when Deborah Milano got back in touch with me and asked if I wanted to try out one of the 24Ore Velvet Eye Shadows. Now with 22 different shades to offer, picking just one was quite the challenge, but I decided to pick the gorgeous shade 11 'Rose' which is the most gorgeous blush pink shade.

When it comes to eye shadow, I usually opt for neutral shades as they are just so wearable, but I've been meaning to pick up a pink shadow for the longest of time because if I'm being perfectly honest I've been a bit obsessed with pink makeup recently. I think pink can sometimes be a colour that can be difficult to work with on the eyes, but if you carry on reading I'll show you just how I made this pretty pink work for me at the end of this review.

The Deborah Milano 24Ore Velvet Eye Shadow is a really soft, buttery eye shadow which feels ever so silky to the touch. As the name of this shadow suggests, the texture feels really light weight and has an almost velvety feel to it. I found applying this shadow so easy as the product picked up effortlessly on my brush and its smooth feel to the shadow made blending this a dream. What really impressed me was just how pigmented this shadow was - I find sometimes with lighter shadows you have to use a lot more product to get a good colour payout. However with 'Rose' you need the lightest hand to get a colour which is very true to what you see in the pan. Like I mentioned, I found blending out this eye shadow so easy, and once it has been blended 'Rose' turns from a very opaque blush pink into a light frosty pink sheen on your lids - On its own this shadow is quite simply stunning on. The frosted finish is not too shimmery and reflects just the right amount of light to make it stand out. I love this finish as it takes this pink from 'Barbie' to something a little more sophisticated and glam.

As for lasting time, the 24Ore Velvet Eye Shadow gets top marks, I poped this on the other morning without any primer and it was still firmly on my lids by the time I had finished work with no signs of creasing at all. I love it when you find an eye shadow that has strong staying power.

As for the packaging Deborah Milano have kept the 24Ore Velvet Eye Shadow pretty simple, encased in this pan which fits perfectly into your hand. The clear lid means you can reach for this eye shadow quickly when its sat among your other shadows.  You can't really tell from my pictures as I think my shadow had a few little knocks from the postman, but right in the centre you have the Deborah Milano logo indented into the actual shadow, which is a lovely added touch. The eye shadow also has a mini applicator inside, which I'm not too fussed about as I never used these - But I can see how it could be useful to someone on the go.

Overall I'm so impressed with this eye shadow, a little goes a really long way and this will last me for ages. You can pick up any of the 22 shades in the 24Ore Velvet Collection for £5.50 which is just such good value for money as you get so much product and at such a good quality  If you would like to browse the collection you can find the link here. I love the way this shadow looks on and as promised earlier on I said I would show you how I made this shadow work for me. 

For those of you wanting to know, I've used 'Rose' all over the lid, blended 'Buck' from the Urban Decay Naked Palette in the crease and have also used 'Toasted' also from the Naked Palette in the outer corners. I think this is a great natural everyday look and using a pretty pink such as 'Rose' just gives this look a touch of girlyness which I love!

August Favourites

I can't quite believe that I'm writing this post, I'm just in total shock that September is here already and I feel as though each passing day is a step into Autumn. When I woke up on Friday morning and it was still dark, I was like 'Oh My, summer is leaving us...boo'. It only felt like I was writing my July Faves the other day and now here I am sat wrapped up in my pajamas and slipper socks and writing about what I loved though the month of August. So without rambling on, here has whats made it onto my monthly favourites...

Batiste Dry Shampoo XXL Volume

When it comes to dry shampoo, Batiste is always a winner for me! When it comes to choosing which one, you'll more than likely find me opting for their tropical scented shampoo, as the smell just whisks me away to a tropical paradise! However on a bit of a whim I decided to pick up the XXl Volume one as my hair felt like it could do with a bit of a volume boost. I wasn't expecting too much of a difference or change with this one compared to the other Batiste Dry Shampoos, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised and impressed. The XXl version of this dry shampoo really does help to give your locks that extra bit of volume and boost that second day hair sometimes needs. I would definitely recommend picking this one up if you find that your hair looses it's volume pretty quickly. The scent of this dry shampoo is pretty light and refreshing too.

Rimmel Sun Shimmer Instant Tan

I am a little bit in love with this instant self tanner from Rimmel, I think its a fabulous product if your wanting a quick and easy tan. There have been quite a few times this month when I've needed that extra bit of glow last minute and to get that instant summer shine I've been using this product. I wont go into too much detail as I did a full review of this tanner the other day in my latest 'Bronze Me Beautiful' post.

LullaBellz Layla Rose Floral Crown & Hair Donut

As August is the ultimate summer month, I've found myself really experimenting with different hairstyles and going to for festival boho look when it comes to styling. These two hair styling items have been must when doing my hair last month and with them I was able to create some pretty adorable hairstyles. August saw me head down to Newquay for the Boardmasters surf/music festival and my blood orange floral crown from LullaBellz was my hairs no1 accessory, I absolutely love it - If you would like to see it on, you can see it featured in my review here.

I've also been wearing my hair in a messy bun throughout August as it's just such a quick and easy hairstyle and always looks great. As my hair lacks in volume and thickness a little, I'll always use a bit fat hair donuts to help create my messy bun look. I love hair donuts and really think every beauty babe who has medium to long hair needs one in their stash of hair things! MUA Sheer Finish Lip Gloss in Happy Days

I had to make a quick visit to Superdrug the other day and on the whim decided to pick up one of MUA's Sheer Finish Lip Glosses. I can't remember the last time that I picked up a lip gloss or even wore one on my lips - But Superdrug had a little MUA stand right by the tills, which I know are put there to purposely tempt me, and tempted me it did! Normally I'm a bit of a fuss pot when it comes to lip glosses, I don't like anything too sticky, too flavoured or too thick. This one from MUA in the shade Happy Days looked like a really pretty pink - and I'm such a sucker for pinks. As I've been wearing a lot of light baby pink lipsticks recently, I was looking for something fairly sheer but with a pink tint to pop over my favourite lippies. As you know MUA makeup is cheap as chips and for a £1.00 I wasn't expecting this to be an amazing lip gloss, but I've really enjoyed wearing this over the last few weeks. The lip gloss is a really pretty light pink and looks great over a pink lipstick for a full glossy lip. This lip gloss is a little too thick for my liking, but for some reason when I pop this on it makes my lips look a lot fuller. It's not too sticky when on and has a great sweetie scent to it.

Deborah Milano Shine Creator Lisptick Shade 8

Not only have I been loving wearing baby pinks on my lips, I always find myself drawn to hot bright fuchsia shades when it comes to lipstick. This Shine Creator Lipstick from Deborah Milano has been a go to lippie of mine during August as the colour is just so beautiful - It looks amazing on, is really pigmented and gives your lips a shiny glossy finish. I love the formula of the Shine Creator Lipsticks from Deborah Milano, think the Revlon Lip Butters but better! If you would like to read my review on this lipstick you can find it here.
