Clarisonic Smart Profile, My Favourite Way To Cleanse

Clarisonic Smart Profile, Cleanse, Skincare, Smart Profile

Way back when I first started blogging my skincare routine was pretty basic and if I'm completely honest it wasn't the best, I think my everyday way to cleanse at the time was with the use of a makeup wipe.  I remember at the time watching my favourite beauty guru's on YouTube talking about the Clarisonic, which has to be the most raved about skincare device and since then I've wanted to try one. Fast forward four years I can now finally say that I am the proud owner of the Clarisonic Smart Profile and I absolutely love it. I can't believe its taken me this long to get my hands on one.

So I guess your all wondering what makes the Clarisonic Smart Profile so special? The reason why I love it so much is that it provides the ultimate pamper experience for your face and body, that can be done in the comfort of your own home. Every single time that I use it, it gives me such a feeling relaxation and it gives me incredible results. Clarisonic, I believe are the cleansing experts as I can honestly say that my skin has never looked better or healthier.

The clue is in the name as to why the Clarisonic Smart Profile is so special and thats because it uses smart technology to really give you the best cleansing experience and results. Each bush head that comes with the Smart Profile contains a microchip which is pre-programmed to send information to the Clarisonic on how to cleanse each area of your skin that you're targeting, which I think is pretty cleaver. The bush would you believe can go back and forth 300 times per second! I don't even know how that's possible. This smart technology combined with the fast rotation of the brush means that using it can remove makeup 11 x better than using your hands alone! WOW!

Clarisonic Smart Profile, Cleanse, Skincare, Smart Profile
Clarisonic Smart Profile, Cleanse, Skincare, Smart Profile

Like I mentioned you can use the Smart Profile for two different things, to either cleanse your face or to buff, exfoliate and polish your body. To deep clean and cleanse my face all I need to do is use the smaller brush head attachment that comes with the Smart Profile and let it work its magic. The bristles on the brush do feel quite compact and a little bristly, which I was worried about as I have really sensitive skin; However there was no need to worry as the brush caused no irritation to my delicate skin whatsoever. I think the bristles on the brush have to be a little firm in order for you to get a really good deep cleanse.

I also really love how the smart technology makes cleansing so easy as the Smart Profile has a set timer so you know when to cleanse each area of your face and adjusts the settings for those more delicate areas of skin. It allocates 20 seconds for your forehead, 20 seconds for your nose and chin and finishing with 10 seconds for each of your cheeks.

The thing that really impressed me when using the Smart Profile to cleanse my face was the difference that it made. From the first time using it I could clearly see visible results, something which I wasn't expecting. The Clarisonic really does give you a glow that regular cleansing alone doesn't provide. Not only has my skin been looking radiant since using it, its also clearer, looks brighter and feels so much softer. It's also helped combat a few nasty dry patches that I had. Huge result!

Clarisonic Smart Profile, Cleanse, Skincare, Smart Profile

The other brush head that comes within the kit is slightly bigger and is used to massage and exfoliate your body. Yep that's right the massage part of this creates such a fabulous pamper experience which I love. I just use it in the shower and let the Clarisonic Smart Profile lather up my favourite shower creams into my skin. Not only does it feel great but its also so relaxing to use, so its great for unwinding. I especially love the turbo button that you can press on the Smart Profile which speeds things up a little bit and really gets to those areas that need a little more TLC. Again I can definitely see noticeable changes in my skin after I use this. It just glows!

The Smart Profile comes as part of a kit which contains the two brush heads, a Clarisonic Refreshing Gel Cleanser, the Clarisonic Refining Skin Polish and charger. I think it's a nice little touch that this Clarisonic can be easily charged up, its magnetic and can be charged via a USB which is great if you're travelling.

Clarisonic Smart Profile, Cleanse, Skincare, Smart Profile

I have honestly found the Smart Profile to be such a great addition to my skincare routine and now I've used it I can't be without it. You can pick up the Smart Profile from Debenhams website for £199. I know some of you may think this is a little expensive and I did question the price initially, but this is what I would call a luxury skincare item and if you're really wanting to take your skincare routine to the next level and see amazing results then I can't recommend this enough. With Christmas coming up, it would be the perfect thing to add to your wish list!

I would love to know what your thoughts are on the Clarisonic? Are you a fan or have you tried any other cleansing brushes? Let me know in the comments.

As the name of my blog would suggest I am a total summer girl at heart, but there is something about autumn and this time of year that I equally love. Nothing beats getting cosy, wrapping up and layering your clothing.

I recently got this cosy fluffy jumper and black fleeced lined jacket from Izabel London and am completely obsessed. The jumper is a little oversized and with being 19 weeks pregnant I still feel really stylish and comfortable wearing this. Not that I'm trying to hide my little bump or anything, but this jumper is so warm and fluffy that you wouldn't even know from looking at these pictures that I was. So if any of you are self concouios or worried about any food babies, this jumper has you covered. Plus I just adore the the little crosses printed on it.

The jacket again is from Izabel London and it's my favourite. I love its waterfall design, it just makes any autumn outfit look so complete; especially if your having a dress down day. The fleeced lining makes it so warm. I love throwing this on for those shopping days around town because not only is it warm, its also really light weight too.

I've paired my jacket and jumper with some ripped jeans, which again are another staple in my autumn wardrobe and some heeled ankle boots. I think it all works together perfectly. Izabel have some great key pieces for your autumn wardrobe this year, I really recommend you guys check them out.

I really hope you like this outfit as much as I do. I wold love to know what your favourite thing to wear in autumn is? Let me know.

New Makeup Revolution Ultra Sculpt & Blend Collection || Review

Blend, Contour, Makeup Brushes, Makeup Revolution, Makeup Revolution Makeup Brushes, Sculpt, Ultra Sculpt & Blend Collection,
Makeup Revolution Ultra Sculpt & Blend Collection* £14.99

Last weekend I got home and my heart almost skipped a beat when I opened up a surprise package from Makeup Revolution. Their releases recently have been on point, so you can only imagine my excitement to see what it was. The products that have grabbing everyone's attention have to be the release of Makeup Revolutions Ultra Metals Collection, which have to be a dupe for the pricey Bold Metals collection from Real Techniques released earlier this year. Not being one to pay out a lot for my makeup brushes, I left these brushes hanging in the shops. But as we know Makeup Revolution are super affordable, so theres a lot to be excited about!

In my surprise package I was lucky enough to receive the new Ultra Sculpt & Blend Kit which turned me into the emoji with the love hearts for eyes. The first thing that made me instantly fall in love with these brushes have to be their shiny rose gold handles; They're just beautiful! I'm such a sucker for rose gold and these really stand out amongst my brush collection making them easy to reach.

The kit includes three brushes and one blending brush, all which have been designed and cut to contour and sculpt to apply your makeup beautifully. The kit costs £14.99 and I have to say for purse friendly brushes, they feel great. Each brush is made from synthetic hair and works superb with powder and cream products. The sponge is incredibly soft and doesn't absorb too much of your makeup, making it great for blending.

Blend, Contour, Makeup Brushes, Makeup Revolution, Makeup Revolution Makeup Brushes, Sculpt, Ultra Sculpt & Blend Collection,
Blend, Contour, Makeup Brushes, Makeup Revolution, Makeup Revolution Makeup Brushes, Sculpt, Ultra Sculpt & Blend Collection,

The largest brush in the kit is the power, sculpt and blend brush. When it comes to makeup brushes I'm one of those who rebel a bit and use a little bit differently to what it says in the description (wild I know). I've been using this brush to buff in and blend out my foundation and I promise you it's amazing and my foundation has been looking pretty even with a lovely soft finish.

The middle sized brush is the cheek and highlight sculpt and blend brush. It's very rare a day passes by where I'm not adding a little bit of highlight to my cheekbones and this brush is the perfect tool. I just find that the size of the brush is perfect as its very precise and the cut angle of the brush really makes it easy for me to blend that highlight in.

The last brush and the smallest in the kit is the eyeshadow blending brush and I just love how fluffy and big this eyeshadow brush is. Its perfect if you love to really distribute the eyeshadow in your crease to make a really soft smokey eye. I think out of all the brushes in this kit, its possibly my favourite and I would love to own just a couple of these in my brush collection. It's really comparable to some of the high end makeup brushes that I own.

The last thing in the kit which is not a brush is the blending sponge. When it comes to base makeup I really like the finish a blending sponge gives me. I always dampen them and use it to blend in my concealer for a really flawless and airbrushed look. This sponge is one of the softest that I own and it works amazingly at getting into those awkward shaped places on your face like your nose.

Overall this kit is perfect and I'm getting good use out of everything. If you love contouring, blending or really want to get into achieving flawless looking skin I would really recommend picking this kit up, I promise you it won't disappoint. You can pick it up from the Makeup Revolution website here, I think it's amazing value for money.

What are your thoughts on this Sculpt and Blend Kit from Makeup Revolution? Are you a fan?

Lush Intergalactic Bath Bomb || My New Favourite

Lush Intergalactic Bath Bomb, Lush Bath Bomb, Lush, Intergalactic, Pamper, Bath Time
Lush Intergalactic Bath Bomb, Lush Bath Bomb, Lush, Intergalactic, Pamper, Bath Time

I love baths! Yes thats right, any time of year I love a soak in the bath, especially after work as I find it's some well deserved down time. Perfect to de-stress and unwind. Now autumn is here and the temperature has dropped, I'm loving my tub even more. On those occasions where I'm feeling a little more indulgent, I pop down to my local Lush store and pick up a bath bomb or bubble bar. For me a Lush bath is the ultimate bath. Not only do bath bombs make baths a little more exciting, I just love the whole feeling of my bath even more. If you're a Lush fan yourself, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.

For a little while now I've been wanting to try the Intergalactic bath bomb, I think this started off as a London Oxford Street store exclusive, but slowly made its way to all the other Lush shops. So when I saw it in my store I just knew that I had to pick it up. I used this last night and have to say this is my new favourite bath bomb from Lush, its spectacular.

Intergalactic has everything you want and need from a bath bomb; It smells fabulous, it turns your bath into the most gorgeous deep space blue and the best bit is that it's filled with sparkle, shimmer and glitter. My bath literally looked liked a galaxy and all the glitter made it look like there was stars floating around my bath, it was so pretty.

Lush Intergalactic Bath Bomb, Lush Bath Bomb, Lush, Intergalactic, Pamper, Bath Time

I loved my bath so much so that I was a bit sad to pull the plug on the whole thing. And this was after  laying in there until the water was pretty much cold. I know for sure that I will be picking this bath bomb up again, it was so good.

The only gripe I have with it, is that it is one of Lush's more expensive bath bombs costing £3.95. And as you only get one use out of it making it a bit of a pricey bath. But having said this, I loved every minute of my bath, so you have to look at it as a bit of a special treat. You can pick up Intergalactic from the Lush website, just incase they don't have it in your store yet.

Let me know what's your favourite bath bomb from Lush is? Have you tried Intergalactic yet?

Come autumn time I am a sucker for a deep berry lip. I just love wearing these dark lip shades, everything from red to purple. I think it's the perfect way to complete any autumnal look. My collection started off with Kate Moss' 107 and over the years it has somewhat grown. This year I've added a few more dark autumn berry shades to my collection and with Halloween approaching I thought it would be so appropriate to showcase these three gorgeous lipsticks from Collection.

These three lipsticks are a part of Collection's Gothic Glam Collection, which I personally think are stunning. For some reason on camera they're appearing a little lighter than what they are true to life, but I promise you they are just as stunning. What I really love about these lipsticks is that they have a lovely satin finish to them whilst being highly pigmented at the same time. Usually I find dark shades like this have a matte finish and can be slightly drying on my lips. But these ones don't drag across the lips at all, and as they start to fade they leave behind a lovely dark stain.

The lightest of the three and the one that I wear the most is the lipstick shown on the left called 'Seduction'. Whenever I wear this I feel like Snow White, it reminds me of that poison apple red and looks great for this time of year. I find this really wearable and find that it's not too dark for work. The lipstick in the middle is ' Scorned' which is a vampy plum shade. Again this looks great on, but can look a little more gothic on. I love wearing 'Scorned' when I'm wearing something simple as it really adds that pop of colour to my face. On the right hand side is the lipstick 'Revenge' which looks amazing on, but I think for me it's a little too dark for me to wear at work (boo). I think this shade is really one of those striking sultry reds. If you were dressing up as a vampire for Halloween this year, then this is the shade you would want to be wearing on your lips, its perfect.

I just love these three lipsticks, the finish its stunning and they are really long wearing. It's great to have a few lipsticks which are a litter bit darker than my usual berry colours in my collection and I really enjoy wearing these three and at only £2.99 each you can't go wrong. Boots even have 3 for 2 on them right now (here), total bargain!

Do you love berry toned lipsticks? Let me know your favourites in the comments below...

Why Vichy Aqualia Thermal Rich Cream is Perfect For Dry Skin

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Rich Cream, Moisturiser, Dry Skin, Hydrated Skin
Vichy Aqualia Thermal Rich Cream, Moisturiser, Dry Skin, Hydrated Skin

I love trying new products, especially when it comes to skincare. I'm still yet to find that holy grail skin care routine. Does it even exist? I always ask myself this because I never seem to buy the same products over and over. As my pregnancy secret is now out on the open (yay) I have been having some serious trouble and confusion with my skin. My once troublesome oily skin has now turned completely the opposite way and I now suffer with really dry skin, which is just crazy.

As you can imagine I got to know my oily skin pretty well over the years, tried and tested the products that worked best to keep it under control. My entire skincare and makeup has been catered for oily skin, which has caused even more problems for my now dry skin. I've had to change my entire beauty routine on its head and this has also meant introducing a lot of new products.

One product in particular that my skin has been loving and one which has been a bit of a saviour for me is the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Rich Moisturiser. It's literally made my dry skin come to life a little. Even my applied makeup doesn't look so dull on my skin. I've been using it religiously for the last three weeks now and I just love it so much.

The thing my dry skin was really lacking was hydration, which again puzzled me because being pregnant I've never drank so much water in my life - I'm constantly thirsty. So I was really drawn to this moisturiser, probably because the word 'Aqua' is in the name. All I can say is that I am so pleased that I picked this up because it really has given my skin the hydration boost that it so desperately needed. Not only does my skin feel so much better, but it visibly looks so much better. Since I've been using this I've had so many people come up to me saying I have that pregnancy glow which is great because before pregnancy was just making my skin look dull and tried.

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Rich Cream, Moisturiser, Dry Skin, Hydrated Skin

As for the actual moisturiser itself, I love how thick and creamy it is. It feels very indulgent when I use it. I know this could be because I'm so used to using light weight moisturisers. But this one feels so lovely, especially when I work it into my skin. As rich as it is, I find that it absorbs into my pores pretty quickly, which not only gives my skin that instant 'ahhh' feeling, but it also means that it works great first thing in the morning before I apply my makeup.

I don't know what my skins going to be like after pregnancy, but right now the  Vichy Aqualia Thermal Rich Cream has been great and I'll continue to use it. I love everything about it. Not to mention the packaging is really lovely, especially with its mirrored top. If your skin is feeling really dehydrated like mine, I would really recommend picking this up.

What are your favourite products for dry skin? Let me know in the comments below.

My Blogs 4th Birthday and BIG HUGE Announcement!!

I'm Pregnant, Pregnancy Announcement, Pregnancy Bog, Pregnancy Update.
I'm Pregnant, Pregnancy Announcement, Pregnancy Bog, Pregnancy Update.

So in the almost four years that I’ve been blogging, today’s post is not something that I ever imagined typing up on my blog. You’ve probably clicked on this post because the title has brought you here. And yes it’s true I have a BIG announcement to make that I’ve been wanting to share with you all for ages now. It’s probably one of the biggest kept secrets of my life so far and for me is completely life changing.I am so pleased to announce and my partner James and I are expecting our first child. Yep that’s right, I’m typing this post up now 17 weeks pregnant which is something that I’m still getting my head around. I’m completely overjoyed and I cannot wait to be a mummy and have a little baby. I’m over the moon.

I's always been a dream of mine to have my own family, so as you can imagine I feel so blessed to be having a little baby growing inside me. I still keep having those moments of ‘Oh my GOSH, I can't believe this is happening to me’ however as weeks past things are starting to feel a little less surreal. I just really wanted to take this moment to share this exciting news with you all. Like I mentioned in the beginning of this post, I’ve been blogging for almost four years and now and you guys have been on a journey with me, so it only feels right to be able to share these life changing moments.

I know throughout these four years of blogging, my blog has mainly been beauty based, but I would love it so much to be able to document my pregnancy through blog posts. I know some of you who are reading are new mums to be and mummy’s yourself, so I think these pregnancy posts might appeal to you. Also for purely selfish reasons I think it would be great to look back on a time in my life that is really very special. Like any new mum to be, I’ve already started picking up baby bits, so I can’t wait to do share some baby hauls (eeep so exciting) and I’m also planning on doing weekly updates as things seem to keep changing so rapidly.

Like I said for me, James and my family this is the best news ever and I’m so excited to be sharing it all with you guys too. If you want to keep up to date with how me and my little bump are getting along then be sure to check back weekly for those updates. Below are some pictures that I've taken today and as you can see my little baby is starting to make an appearance. I have this pregnancy app and apparently baby is about the size of an onion (I wish they picked a nicer veg). But anyway you get the idea.

I'm Pregnant, Pregnancy Announcement, Pregnancy Bog, Pregnancy Update.

If your a mum or a new mum let me know in the comments below. I would love to connect with other mummy’s.

Makeup Revolution Unicorns Unite Lipsticks || Review

Makeup Revolution, Makeup Revolution Unicorns Unite Lipsticks, Lipsticks, Unicorns Unite, Makeup, Lipstick Collection, Collection, Review,
Makeup Revolution, Makeup Revolution Unicorns Unite Lipsticks, Lipsticks, Unicorns Unite, Makeup, Lipstick Collection, Collection, Review,

It will come as no surprise to you all when I say that Makeup Revolution is one of my favourite makeup brands. One of the reasons for me loving them so much has to be that they makeup fun and are not afraid to be a little bit more adventurous and daring when it comes to their collections. A little while ago you may have seen me get way too excited about the launch of their Unicorns Unite palette (full review here) as I love the idea of anything mythical and magical. It was a real treat to have an eyeshadow palette that resembled the colours of unicorns. If that wasn’t good enough, Makeup Revolution have added to their unicorn collection and have brought us five new lipsticks that are part of the Unicorns Unite range (insert girly squeal here).

As you can see from the pictures, by no means are these your everyday lipsticks and they certainly aren't for the faint hearted. BUT how pretty and magical do they look? I know they are not the kind of lipsticks that I would choose to wear daily, but if your like me and love playing around and experimenting with makeup then these are too good not to pick up. Like I said, they are just really fun lipsticks and make a great addition to any growing makeup collection.

Makeup Revolution, Makeup Revolution Unicorns Unite Lipsticks, Lipsticks, Unicorns Unite, Makeup, Lipstick Collection, Collection, Review,
Makeup Revolution, Makeup Revolution Unicorns Unite Lipsticks, Lipsticks, Unicorns Unite, Makeup, Lipstick Collection, Collection, Review,

In total there are five lipsticks to choose from. We have a gorgeous bright blue/purple shade called ‘Magical’, a stunning turquoise shade called ‘ Horn of Magic’, a pretty pink called ‘ Pink Myth’, a frosty lilac named ‘Throne’ and a mauve colour with grey undertones called ‘ Legend’. I love how each lipstick has been named to fit in with its unicorn theme. I think what makes these lipsticks a little more magical is that they all have a frosty metallic finish with the exception of ‘Pink Myth’ which is definitely the most wearable lipstick in the collection.

Each lipstick will only set you back £1.00 or you can pick up the full set for £4.00 which is such a bargain. Each lipstick does have a really nice formula to it, the shades are fairly pigmented and theres no dragging on the lips, so they make for a really comfortable wear. I think with Halloween just around the corner, these lipsticks are really worth picking up. I think there are some really fun creations to be made with these. Or you could just do what I do and wear these around the house, channel your inner unicorn.

I would love to know what your thoughts are on these lipsticks? Are you brave and bold enough to wear them? Let me know.

Super Soft Skin With The King of Skin | Lush Review

Lush, King of Skin, Lush Haul, Lush Review, Skin of Skin Review, Tanya Burr, Moisturiser, Beauty, Skincare

I've always been a big fan of Lush right from the get go. When I was young my sister and I used to venture into their first shop in Poole whenever visiting my aunt and it was only around these visits  that we would get excited about some bath time fun with the use of a bath bomb. Since those early days, Lush have grown and I'm so pleased I don't have to go very far to stock up on my favourite products. The other week I received an email from Lush that got me even more excited about the brand as they are now celebrating 20 years WOW. Not only that my local store was celebrating 10 year anniversary in our town and I was invited to join in with the birthday celebrations! Thanks Lush.

Without going into too much detail about the party (I have another post on that coming up), I wanted to take the opportunity to stock up on some of my most favourite Lush products and I thought it would be great to try out some new things too. When I was walking around the store, I saw a nice little stash of King of Skin and knew immediately that I needed to take one home with me. I think I must be the only Lush fan not to have tried this raved about product, so I popped one straight into my basket! I know that King of Skin is a favourite of Tanya Burr's, so I've been meaning to try it for ages. In case you don't know King of Skin is a moisturising bar that you can use on wet skin in the shower.

For those of you who have been reading my blog for sometime will know that when it comes to moisturiser, I am a woman obsessed; I love the stuff, so I'm always on the hunt for new ones to try. However there is nothing worse than getting out the shower during the colder months as its so cold. I often find myself skipping moisturiser just so I can put some clothes back on. So I thought King of Skin would save me from this morning nightmare as its a bar that you can use whilst in the shower! How perfect is that? All I have to do is rub the bar over my skin, gently rinse it off and my skin is left so soft, its as simple as that.

You’re probably wondering how or why this bar works and to be honest I have no idea about the science behind it. I just know that it contains amazing ingredients such as avocado, banana, oat milk and cocoa butters which are perfect for softening skin. I’ve been using this bar for two weeks now and I have to say I’m really impressed, my arms and legs especially feel so soft to the touch. I also really like the way that this bar domes’t leave my skin feeling sticky afterwards. I’m literally ready to dry off and get dressed as soon as I’m out the shower, which is perfect for those cold mornings or if your like me and a girl on the go.

I always thought I would like King of Skin but in the short space of time its become a new favourite. I would really recommend giving this ago if your after something new to try and want to nourish and hydrate your skin in speedy record time; It’s worked for me. Here’s the link to have a closer look at King of Skin and all its ingredients.

Question for you… What’s your favourite moisturiser or body butter right now? Let me know in the comments below.
