House of Fraser Beauty Haul | Mac, Urban Decay, Benefit & More

 House of Fraser Beauty Haul

There is nothing more satisfy than going on a huge shopping spree for makeup and other beauty bits, who agrees with me? I love it when I start crossing things of my wish list (which is forever growing) and I always get such a buzz when I add something I've been wanting for a long time into my shopping basket. Usually I buy most of my makeup online for convenience, but going to a beauty contour is always my favourite way to buy my makeup. When it comes to shopping for high end makeup, either online or in store, my go too shop is always House of Fraser as they have the best selection. If you're a regular reader here you will know that a new HoF opened up near me recently (post here) and I was kindly invited to the launch. I could't see the new store without doing some makeup shopping, so I thought it was about time I got a beauty haul up. These are my favourite kinds of posts to read, so get comfy and enjoy!

H&M Sportswear Haul

As a lot of you may know I've been spending a decent amount of time at the gym lately and for a little while now I've been wanting to update my gym gear. Being a fairly newbie to the gym, I didn't have what you would call appropriate gym attire. Yes my wardrobe has its fair share of sports bra's and training shorts, but being a cheerleader all my workout gear was very cheer related ... short shorts and spanks are great in the company of cheerleaders but not so great for the gym. Recently I've made up another long wishlist (we all know that there is the beauty wishlist and a clothing one too) this new one being filled with sporting attire. In my spare time I've been browsing the web to see what gym clothing I want to get my hands on and the wishlist has been growing and growing. What I have noticed though though my browsing  is that sportswear is a bit on the expensive side. Maybe it's just me and maybe I was looking in all the wrong places, but as most of its branded I've found that a pretty big price tag was also attached - Not cool! However a friend of mine recommended that I go take a look at H&M's Sportswear range and when I popped into my local store I was not disappointed at all. H&M had so much to offer and the shopper in me soon got carried away picking up everything from neon pink sports bras to funky patterned tops. Today I thought I would share with you all what I picked up as I know a lot of you beauty babes are loving the gym right now and this might just tempt you to have a little shopping splurge.

For me H&M have really hit the nail on the head when it has come to designing their sportswear range. The material of most of the range is made from a fast drying stretch material which is perfect for those hard sweaty workouts! Not only does the clothing feel great on too, but it looks amazing on! Now I know that the gym is not a place to look fashionable, however I still want to look and feel great in the clothes that I'm in and H&M have certainly thought about the modern woman and her need to feel and look good. Let me know if you agree, but I feel that the gym is a place to push some boundaries a little in terms of clothing. As you will see from the pictures, I have been drawn to neon pink, a shade which I probably would only be seen in on holiday. However wearing such a fun and bright colour down at the gym makes working out all the more fun. If your lacking on some motivation to go the gym, try buying some fun bright clothing to go the the gym in. On those mornings where I just can't be bothered, popping some good clothes on makes me feel good and makes me feel more motivated - As soon as that clothing is on I feel ready to workout and work hard- Isn't it amazing what a few bits of clothing can do?

Overall I really recommend you checking the H&M sportswear range out, especially if your looking to add some inexpensive and colourfull clothing to your gym attire. Have you bought anything from the H&M Sportswear range yet? What pieces are you loving?

Holiday Haul!

Hello Beauties! As you may have guessed by the title that I have a haul post for you all this evening. But first of all I just wanted to apologise for being absent from my blog for two whole weeks. It wasn't planned, which is why there was no warning!

The last two weeks have just been a bit mental! To sum it up very quickly for you all:  It's been raining, its been baking, I've been training and working crazy hours, as well as taking my dog to and from the vets and also throwing the occasional night out in there as well.

Things have finally calmed down, so expect to see regular posts from me again and of course I've been working on the mini series that I mentioned in my last post (here)

The F.A.B (Fashion & Beauty) Summer Essential Guide A-Z

The first post of this will be coming up for you very soon, I promise. I will also promise to have a good catch up session with everyone else's blogs also, as I've not just neglected my own blog, but the whole blogging world.

So on to today's post!... At the weekend I went out shopping for my holiday (I'm so excited and will be flying out to Turkey in just over two weeks). As I've not been on a proper sunbathing holiday in years I had some much needed essentials to get and what better place to go other than Primark! They have some great bits and bobs in there right now and as always at a really affordable price. Just to warn you this post is very picture heavy!

Payday Treats!

Hello lovelies. So this weekend was payday for a lot of us, and for me it certainly felt a long time coming. So this weekend I decided to treat myself to a few bits and bobs and I know that some of you will just love some of these little gems that I picked up.

From Left to Right

I was really excited when I hit the shops this weekend and it turned out to be a bit of a first for me in two ways. One I finally splurged and bought my first ever Mac Lipstick and two, I bought my first item of makeup from Topshop. I really think I'm the only blogger ever not to have tried either of these, but in my local town we have no where to buy Mac and our Topshop is so small that it doesn't sell any makeup at all....BOOO!!

When popping into Mac I was like a kid in a candy shop. I literally filled up every spare space of my hand with swatches, removed it all and repeated the whole process over again, I had so much fun! There have been loads of videos and posts up recently about everyone's top 5 Mac lipsticks, so I had an idea of which one I wanted. After much swatching I fell in love with 'Impassioned' which is the most gorgeous, brightest fuchsia I've ever seem.... I'm in love with it and can promise you that this will beauty will have a post all of it's own!

When hitting Topshop, again I knew that I wanted to try a lipstick. I originally thought that I wanted the famous 'Infared' but changed my find after swatching 'Rio Rio' which is a vibrant combination between red and orange and I think this will look perfect for summer.

Next up was some much needed hair dye, it's reached that time again where my last application of hair dye has completely washed out and faded. I was really impressed with the L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss last time, so thought I would use it again. This time I've opted for the shade 360 Black Cherry, which is a few shades darker than the mahogany shade I used before. I will let you beauties know how I get on with this.

Whilst I was in Boots, my mum was looking at the Revlon nail polishes. They had a two for £8 offer on, so we picked a colour each. This bight pink in shade in 185 Sweet Tart, really caught my eye and I defiantly don't have anything like this colour in my collection. The camera is showing it to be a bright barbie pink, but its more of a neon pink in its true form. Expect to see this in a NOTD.

I know every beauty blogger and nail polish addict will have seen all the polishes from the new Models Own Hed Kandi range by now, but I've only just got my hands on them. I ordered these directly from Models Own a few weeks ago, but they were sent to my sisters address and I've only just picked them up.

The two glitters 'Disco Heaven' left and 'Ibiza Mix' right, really make my eyes pop and my mouth drool. They are some of the prettiest glitters I've seen in a long time and I think they would look amazing paired with any polish. These two are defiantly a summer essential! As for 'Hedonist' all I can say is WOW, I suggest to anyone that they pick this up and see this in its true glory!

Lastly I picked up this denim shirt from River Island which retails at £30. I've had my eye on this for a long time and I'm so pleased I have it in my wardrobe now. Its a gorgeous thick, but soft denim and looks great worn undone with any top you decide to put underneath it. This looks flattering on anyone and is one of River Islands best sellers at the moment.

So that's everything for my payday treats, I hope you enjoyed beauties. No doubt you will be seeing most of the items here show of in a post of their own, but if there is any preference as to what you would like to see first just let me know and I will see what I cam do.
