Love Me Beauty Box || June Edition

Love Me Beauty Box* £12.95 (Including P&P)

This month saw Love Me Beauty celebrate their first birthday, and to get into the birthday celebrations Love Me Beauty really spoilt us with an amazing selection of menus to choose from. I'm sure your all aware by now how the Love Me Beauty subscription box works, but for those of you who don't know here's a quick low down on what this amazing subscription service is all about. Love Me Beauty sends out 4 to 5 beauty and some lifestyle products, all beautifully packaged in the post every month and its great way to discover new products and have a selection of products that we may not treat ourselves if went shopping. Every month there is a choice of three different menus to choose from so there is no way you'll be disappointed with the contents of the box

I found it really hard to pick a menu this month because all three looked so good, but after much debating I went for menu number one. If you would like to see the other two menus then be sure to have a look at the Love Me Beauty Boutique to see the other choices.

Model Co Lip Gloss 'Fairy Floss' (RRP £12.00)

I had never heard of the brand Model Co before this lip gloss, but this was the product that swayed me to choose menu number one. I love my lip products as you know, so I knew that I would just get so much use out of this product. The shade is in 'Fairy Floss' which is this gorgeous sheer toned pink shade. I've worn this non stop since receiving my beauty box and this looks great worn on its own or on top of a pink lipstick, its gorgeous and not too sticky either. I love how it has a mirror on the side of the casing too, making this perfect for on the go. This is definitely my favourite item this month.

NYX Cosmetics Nail Polish 'Elegance' (RRP £3.00)

I was so happy to see a NYX product thrown into this months box just because I'm a big fan of the brand. When it comes to nail polish pink is probably my favourite shade to wear, so I was so happy when I saw this gorgeous pale pink shade polish. Admittedly I usually opt for bright pinks, so don't have too many shades like this in my collection, but I this sort of colour will work with every outfit;  its stylish and sophisticated all the same time so it will definitely get a lot of use.

Urban Veda Purifying Day Cream (RRP £14.99)

Again this is another brand that I've never heard of before, but as a beauty lover there's always a sense of excitement trying out something new. I love the look of this day cream, especially because it claims to be mattifying and suitable for oil prone skin; I do have combination skin so I'm hoping that my skin will love it. It does smell very minty which does put me off a little as I don't know how I feel about having a minty face, but apart from that this product looks great,

Montagne Jeunesse Brazilian Mud Fabric Masque (RRP £1.00)

Montagne Jeunesse is a brand that I'm very familiar with and it takes me right back to my teenage years as I was always picking these up whenever there was a girly sleepover. This mud masque looks great and I know I will have fun looking like a crazy woman wearing this when it comes to my next pamper night. The masque says it will help to deep cleanse your skin and help unclog your pores, which sounds perfect!

Beauty UK Eye Shadow Palette 'Earth Child' (RRP £3.99)

When I saw this Beauty UK eye shadow palette in this months box, I have to say I was pretty impressed just because there are 10 shadows, all of these shades pretty neutral which is perfect for every day. Some of the shades really stand out to me like the bronze and gold shades, however I found that the eye shadows where really chalky and lacked in pigmentation. I'm never one to write off a prodcut right away, so I've given these shadows a good go and while they are a bit of a pain to get the colour payout that your looking for and take a lot of work to blend out, they do look really pretty once and are quite long lasting too. I don't think I'll be reaching for these all the time, but I'm happy to have them in my makeup collection.

Overall I love everything in this months Love Me Beauty Box and I was so impressed with all three menus. If your thinking about subscribing to Love Me Beauty be sure to head over to their site here. Also if you would like to see a little bit more about each product inside this months box you can take a look at my video, I would love if you could watch , like and subscribe.

Montagne Jeunesse | Four Week Regime - Weeks 2 & 3

Hi Beauties, the other week I posted about the four week regime from Montage Jeunesse and thought that it was time to give you all an update with how I got on with weeks two and three, and let you know how my skin has benefited. If you would like to find out more information on this four week regime then you can always check my first post out here.

So week Two was the Cooling Cucumber Peel-Off Masque, which aims to remove dead skin and to help those problemed areas such as theT-Zone area. Montagne Jeunesse say:

'With juiced cucumbers and full of citrus goodness, this refeshing masque removes dead skin and impurities to revive your skin complexion as you peel the day away'

I have to say when I used this masque, my skin wasn't at it's best and it definitley felt as though it needed reviving, so I was pleased to be giving this ago. Upon opening the packet, there is a strong smell of cucumbers, which is a smell I'm rather fond of, just beacuse it smells so refreshing. The actual masque itself has a gel like consistency, which dries very quickly once you have applied it on your face. As with any peel-off masque you feel your whole face tightening as soon as the gel starts to dry.

Montage Jeunesse recommend that you leave the masque on for 10-15 minutes, which is the perfect amount of time for this masque, any longer you will find that it will start to peel off on its own accord. Whilst the masque was applied, I found that the smell wasn't too overpowering and was kind to my sensitive skin. When it came to peeling it off, I have to say I did find it a little difficult as the masque does not peel off in one clean sweep, but is still easily removed.

I love when you peel off the cucumber masque, as it really does feel as though you are taking away any impurities in your skin and I found that my skin was a lot smoother once the masque was removed. I also found upon inspection, that my pores were noticeably smaller. However I wouldn't go as far to say this masque is a cure for making your T-Zone perfect, but it definitely helps remove any nasties, whilst being refreshing all at the same time. Overall I enjoyed this face masque and would use it again.

When week three came around, it was time to cleanse and tone my skin with the Montage Jeunesse Iced Crystal Masque, which has to be the best face masque I've ever tried from this brand. Montagne Jeunesse say:

'As the temperatures go up, cool things down with the exhilarating Iced Crystal Masque; an exfoliating facial infused with cooling spearmint to cleanse and tone skin. Dead sea salt to improve impurities and sweet almond and Jojoba oil to hydrate the skin leaving it soft, smooth and cleansed'

The smell of this masque smells exactly like spearmint, and it feels so refreshing once applied to your face. Because of the infused mint, I found it does create a little tingle sensation once it first goes on. I love how this masque has also been filled with dead sea salt and as the name of this masque suggests the salt 'crystals' create a gentle exfoliation when you apply and massage it into your skin. The masque dries fairly quick and again you get that tightening feeling as the masque starts to dry.

The masque goes on blue, but dries fairly clear, and when it comes to washing it off, I found that it the dried masque lathers up a little which is where the gentle cleanse comes into it. Onced I had finished using the Iced Crystal Masque, my face felt soft and smooth and my skin looked as though it was glowing. I loved everything about this masque and was over the moon that from one packet I was able to get two good uses out of it. If you were going to try any face mask from Montage Jeunesse the Iced Crystal one would be the one that I would recommend.

Each masque retails at £1.09 (RRP) and if you are wanting to get your hands on any Montage Jeunesse products or one of the two masques I've mentioned then you can find them on the Montage Jeunesse website here

http://www.montagnejeunesse.com/face-masks

Like always beauties, all Montagne Jeunesse products are vegetarian approved, paraben free and made from natural ingredients and the company are very proud of it's great ethos for  ‘Conservation of Energy, Protection of Animals and the Environment.’

Next week I shall be trying out Montagne Jeunesse's Very Berry Masque which will be the final one in this four week beauty regime, I will be sure to let you beauties know how I get on.

Montagne Jeunesse | Four Week Regime

Hi beauties. As you know I am a huge fan of Montagne Jeunesse and have been using their products since the start of girly nights in and sleepovers! Recently I was contacted by one of the lovely people at Montagne Jeunesse and was asked if I would like to try out and review four of their popular face masks which are reccomended by Montagne Jeunesse as part of a four week regime for 'Glorious, Sunny, Summer Skin!'

Some of you girls may have seen from my Twitter account that the past couple of weeks have been so busy and hectic for me, and as a result my skin has not been in it's tip top condition, nor has it been able to keep up with my busy lifestyle; So I'm really excited to give this four week regime ago and see if my skin and I can see the bennefits.

Week One

Start the regime with the Montagne Jeunesse Blemish Mud (great for battling blemishes and imperfections)

Week Two

It's time for some anti-stress with the Montagne Jeunesse Cooling Cucumber Peal-Off Masque

Week Three

Week three will be all about waking up your senses with the Montagne Jeunesse Iced Crystal Masque which will help to hydrate your skin

Week Four

Finish off the regime with the Montagne Jeunesse Very Berry (a masque which if full of antioxidants and will help avoid premature ageing)

As far as first impressions go this four week regime sounds as though it's only going to have good befefits on my skin and seams such an easy way to get beautiful skin and not only is it easy, I always find doing face masks is a lot of fun and who can say no to a good old pampering?

So I've started off week one with the Montagne Jeunesse Blemish Mud, which I'm pleased is first on the list as my skin has not been at it's best with little outbreaks and blemishes appearing every now and again. Montagne Jeunesse say:

'The Mud Masque will help to prevent any unsightly blemishes, invigorate your skin with it's formula of Aloe Vera, Willow, Rosemary and Witch Hazel, this special blend of nature's remedies naturally targets problem areas for clear, clean complexion.'

Personally I am a huge fan of Aloe Vera and products which contain it, as its great for the skin and can really help with problem areas. The  mud masque has a thick consitency which has a clay like feel to it and the smell is pleasant (it almost has one of those medicated smells to it). Like with most face masks, you leave the Blemish Mud on for 10-15 minutes and during this time the masque will really dry up and you will feel you whole face tighten. One thing which I loved about this masque, was that it felt as though it was made for those with sensitive skin. There have been many times in the past where I have used mud masques and felt irritation or a burning sensation on my skin; But the Montagne Jeunesse Masque applied easily and left my skin with no redness or irritation.

Rinsing off this masque was very easy too, and once it was all rinsed away my skin felt silky smooth. Already there was a noticable difference and my skin had more of a brighter glow to it. As for batteling belmishes and spots I have to say that when I woke up the following morning I could see that my skin had calmed down a lot and those pesky blemishes that were there were on their way out! However it did bring a few new ones to the surface (but I've always found this the case with any face mask as they bring out all the dirt and muck from your skin).

Now its been four days since using the mud masque and the overall appreacance of my skin looks a lot better and I feel that Blemish Mud has made an improvemnet on any imperfections that have been on my skin. For those of you wondering I do have oily to combination skin which is on the sensitive side and have found that the Blemish Masque has not made my skin any more oily or flared it up in any way.

Overall I think so far so good for the Montagne Jeunesse four week regime and if any of you beauties are wanting to give this ago or try out this Blemish Masque you can purchase it for £1.09 (RRP) from the Montagne Jeunesse Website

http://www.montagnejeunesse.com/face-masks

If your not wanting to order online, Montagne Jeunesse face masks are now available nationwide in retialers such as Asda, Superdrug, Tesco, New Look and Morrisons. Like always beauties, all Montagne Jeunesse products are vegetarian approved, paraben free and made from natural ingredients and the company are very proud of it's great ethos for  ‘Conservation of Energy, Protection of Animals and the Environment.’

Next week I shall be giving the cooling cucumber peel off masque ago, so stay tuned in for my review on that.

Montagne Jeunesse Travel Pamper Pack | Hair Masque Review

A few weeks ago, I was sent a mini travel pamper pack from the amazing Montagne Jeunesse (which you can read here). As a lot of you know I was waiting for my holiday to try out and put the Montagne Jeunesse travel pack to the test. Now I am back in the UK, I thought it was only fair that I share with you beauties just how I got on, starting with the 'Intensive Spa Repairing & Conditioning Hair Masque'.

As all of us beauties know, our hair regularly takes a general beating, whether its from the hair straighteners or hairspray overload. And as a result our hair needs a break and given the opportunity to indulge in some much needed TLC.

I don't know about you but I am guilty when it comes to my hair. I use the hair strengtheners almost every day and when my hair is not being abused by heat, its been put in voluminous hairstyles which contain loads of backcombing and a huge amount of styling products. Add into the mix the 40 degree sunshine my hair was exposed to on holiday, the chlorine from the pool and the tattered beach curls from the sea, my hair was calling out for some much needed treatment.

I used the Montagne Jeunesse 'Intensive Spa Repairing & Conditioning Hair Masque' right at the end of my holiday so not only I came back with a beautiful tan, but so I could have gorgeous hair to go with my healthy holiday look!

I have to say I was really impressed with the 'magic' this little sachet worked on my hair. The intensive masque is an oil based one infused with squeezed juices from lime, orange, grapefruit and lemon. It is truly a scrumptious citrus treat. I am a huge fan of citrus smells, but never have I used anything citrus smelling in my hair, so the smell of this hair masque was something new for me.

When you open the packet the citrus smell is very strong, maybe a little overpowering for some, but once it's washed out the smell does tone down a lot and leaves your hair smelling light, fresh and lovely.

I was a little worried when I read that this was an oil based masque as my hair is thin and can be prone to getting greasy quickly, but it turns out I had nothing to worry about. Once the the product has been washed out and you've restyled your hair as normal you can really feel and see the benefits from this hair masque.

Before using the Montagne  Jeunesse Hair Masque my locks felt super dry especially around the tips and ends, but the masque really did put a lot of moisture back into my hair and gave it a new lease of life. My hair was soft, but not so soft it was unmanageable and I found that it put a little bounce back into my hair which is always fabulous.

Overall I was really impressed with this travel sachet and it would be perfect to take away with you on holiday especially if you are travelling to a hot country where your hair will be put to the test. The citrus smells just scream summer to me and it's just how you want your hair to be smelling this time of year.

Like I said this mini sachet does come as part of a travel pamper pack, and for me I found that there was just enough product to get one hair treatment out of this. Saying that I do have really long hair, so for you ladies with short/mid length hair I reckon you could easily get two uses out of this.

You can purchase the Montagne Jeunesse Mini Travel Pamper Pack with all six treatments for £5.00 from the Montagne Jeunesse website which you can find here. The 'Intensive Spa Repairing & Conditioning Hair Masque's along with all Montagne Jeunesse products are suitable for vegetarians and  Montagne Jeunesse always look to use natural ingredients in their products for us natural beauties.

Take care beauties
