A Day By The Lakes | OOTD

Hello beauties, as promised I have a quick OOTD post for you, these were taken from the weekend when we had some lovely weather. It wasn't quite warm enough to wear my legs bare, but I was determined that I wanted to wear some nice shorts out and my most recent ones from River Island were just calling out to me.

Top: Topshop (bought last year)
Cardigan: New Look I bought this at the beginning of the year but they have loads of similar ones in store)
Shorts with Belt: River Island
Shoes: New Look (bought last year)

Watch:Givenchy

Nails: Models Own Hed Kandi in Hedonist

For those of you who are looking closely at the pictures, that is bird poop that is on the ground surrounded by my feet. But it was dried out bird poop and I did avoid standing in it!. Who am I kidding? It was really gross, but it was a pretty place for a picture!

This Girls Gotta Have Em | Top 5 Bikini's

Hello beauty babes. I was terrible last week and never got around to putting up a 'This Girls Gotta Have Em Post' and I really have no excuse, I was just slaking. But this week its back and today I'm looking at bikinis. Since the weather here in the UK has been utter rubbish and colds are flu's are flying around left right and centre, I thought looking at bikinis and thinking about sunshine, summer and holidays would cheer us all up a bit.

From Left to Right

Coral Lurex Bandeau Bikini from Topshop £26.00

Some of you who read my posts regularly may have seen this beautiful coral bikini before. It made its way into my wish list a little while ago and I'm still lusting after it, especially since I've seen it in Topshop and seen how gorgeous it really is. This bandeau bikini is made from the most amazing shimmery material and would compliment you and your tan. This is the bikini that I'm hoping to get for my holiday, I'm just hoping that it will fit me in all the right places (if you know what I mean).

Beaded Flower Bikini Top & Bottoms from Lipsy
Top £22.00 Bottoms

For those of you who love your floras and want to look very cute whilst on the beach, this is the perfect bikini! There is so much detailing on this two piece from the little Lipsy heart charm on the briefs, right down to the pink sequins that follow the lines of the flowered design. This would look so pretty on and a white bikini will always make you look a lot more tanned. I can just see this Lipsy bikini paired with some white over sized sunglasses, a rather large floppy hat, and a cocktail in hand!

Lipsy Gold Foil Monokini from Lipsy £38.00

When I was young it was the classic Speedo swimming costume and as I got older I joined the bikini club. I can honestly say that I've never had anything in between like this monokini from Lipsy, but I know that over the years they have become increasingly popular and can look very glam. I always thought about the tan lines that might come with these and It has put me off  from ever buying one, but I thought that I would put this one in to add some range to this wish list. I think if you are going to wear one of these monokini's you really need to go out with a bang and this gold foiled one from Lipsy will certainly turn heads and do wonders at showing off your curves.

Brown Tiger Bandeau Bikini from Topshop £32.00

Anyone who knows me well, will know that I have a lot of love for animal print, especially the big cats! Tiger print is defiantly the new leopard print which makes me so drawn to this bikini and I think its a great way to make a statement on the beach. The bandeau makes this very easy to wear and will leave no pesky tan lines around your shoulders. I know this one wont be to everyone's taste, but I think its fabulous.

Orange Print Pacha Bikini Top & Bottoms
from River Island Top £18.00 Bottoms £14.00

I am in love with this bright neon bikini set from River Island. This year River Island has teamed up with the famous nightclub Pacha in Ibiza to create some key holiday essentials and this bikini really does tick all the boxes! Firstly I adore the colour of it, its just amazing and would look good once any skin tone has been sun kissed. Secondly I find that bikinis which have tie strings generally fit and feel a lot better on and are easily adjusted. So if you are hitting any party capital this summer, then this is the bikini you want to be taking with you.

As always beauties I would love to know your thoughts and let me know if you've found your dream bikini!

Payday Treats!

Hello lovelies. So this weekend was payday for a lot of us, and for me it certainly felt a long time coming. So this weekend I decided to treat myself to a few bits and bobs and I know that some of you will just love some of these little gems that I picked up.

From Left to Right

I was really excited when I hit the shops this weekend and it turned out to be a bit of a first for me in two ways. One I finally splurged and bought my first ever Mac Lipstick and two, I bought my first item of makeup from Topshop. I really think I'm the only blogger ever not to have tried either of these, but in my local town we have no where to buy Mac and our Topshop is so small that it doesn't sell any makeup at all....BOOO!!

When popping into Mac I was like a kid in a candy shop. I literally filled up every spare space of my hand with swatches, removed it all and repeated the whole process over again, I had so much fun! There have been loads of videos and posts up recently about everyone's top 5 Mac lipsticks, so I had an idea of which one I wanted. After much swatching I fell in love with 'Impassioned' which is the most gorgeous, brightest fuchsia I've ever seem.... I'm in love with it and can promise you that this will beauty will have a post all of it's own!

When hitting Topshop, again I knew that I wanted to try a lipstick. I originally thought that I wanted the famous 'Infared' but changed my find after swatching 'Rio Rio' which is a vibrant combination between red and orange and I think this will look perfect for summer.

Next up was some much needed hair dye, it's reached that time again where my last application of hair dye has completely washed out and faded. I was really impressed with the L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss last time, so thought I would use it again. This time I've opted for the shade 360 Black Cherry, which is a few shades darker than the mahogany shade I used before. I will let you beauties know how I get on with this.

Whilst I was in Boots, my mum was looking at the Revlon nail polishes. They had a two for £8 offer on, so we picked a colour each. This bight pink in shade in 185 Sweet Tart, really caught my eye and I defiantly don't have anything like this colour in my collection. The camera is showing it to be a bright barbie pink, but its more of a neon pink in its true form. Expect to see this in a NOTD.

I know every beauty blogger and nail polish addict will have seen all the polishes from the new Models Own Hed Kandi range by now, but I've only just got my hands on them. I ordered these directly from Models Own a few weeks ago, but they were sent to my sisters address and I've only just picked them up.

The two glitters 'Disco Heaven' left and 'Ibiza Mix' right, really make my eyes pop and my mouth drool. They are some of the prettiest glitters I've seen in a long time and I think they would look amazing paired with any polish. These two are defiantly a summer essential! As for 'Hedonist' all I can say is WOW, I suggest to anyone that they pick this up and see this in its true glory!

Lastly I picked up this denim shirt from River Island which retails at £30. I've had my eye on this for a long time and I'm so pleased I have it in my wardrobe now. Its a gorgeous thick, but soft denim and looks great worn undone with any top you decide to put underneath it. This looks flattering on anyone and is one of River Islands best sellers at the moment.

So that's everything for my payday treats, I hope you enjoyed beauties. No doubt you will be seeing most of the items here show of in a post of their own, but if there is any preference as to what you would like to see first just let me know and I will see what I cam do.

This Girls Gotta Have Em | Topshop

Hello lovelies. Today I am back at Topshop wishing I had many of there new items that have just arrived in stock this week. Topshop have some gorgeous pieces that I would just love to get my hands on. The spring and summer lines are in full swing now and I am loving all the bight pretty colours, its just fabulous!

Left to Right

Liberty Print Vivienne Dress by Jones and Jones £75.00

My first pick just had to be this beautiful flowered print dress. It is a little on the pricey side, but for me is a classic timeless dress that could be worn any spring/summer and would never date. I adore the vintage style print design on this dress, plus the added netting at the bottom which gives this it some shape and movement.  One thing which I think really makes this dress a bit special, is that it does have quite a revealing design at the back! I don't know about you beauties, but I really like dresses that show off a bit of back rather than the chest area! Men may disagree with me, but I just think its much more sexy!

As you can see it's so pretty and Topshop have not gone too over the top with the detailing at the back. I think it could be worn easily in the day or the evening depending how you want to dress it. I just love this piece and out of all the items on today’s wish list this has to be my favourite!

Coral Lurex Bandeau Bikini £26.00

This coral bikini really should have my name written all over it. I am a massive fan of coral colours and this bandeau bikini has gold shimmers running though it. I could just imagine wearing this by the pool or beach and it would really make your tan look amazing.

Bird Print Tie Playsuit £36.00

This playsuit is ever so pretty with its little red parrots printed all over it and would look fabulous on, I can imagine. I've see a lot of tie tops come out this season, but I've never seen one incorporated into a playsuit and I have to say I quite like the idea of it. I love the classic beige colour used for this playsuit and think it would work amazingly on with some bright orange wedges and matching accessories.

Lipstick Brooch £12.50

I saw this lipstick brooch whist looking though all the new stock and being a lipstick lover I just had to give this brooch a little spot on this post. This would look lovely pinned onto a nice blazer or shirt, the perfect accessory for any beauty blogger me thinks!

Scallop Tassel lace Vest £28.00

Pretty and pink, this lace vest top would look lovely paired with some denim shorts. I am loving tops like these at the moment as they are so easy to wear, yet they have lots of detailing on them which makes them a lot nicer than your average vest top.

Bandeau Dip Hem Dress by Oh My Love £45.00

When I saw this leopard print bandeau dress on Topshop I immediately thought 'I want this for my holiday', It's lush! I am a huge fan of leopard print and love that the print has that extra pop of colour thrown in. This would be lovely to wear on summers evening or really dressed up with a leather jacket and chunky jewellery for a night out.

WHAMM Espadrille Leather Wedges £65.00

I'm really pleased that this seasons shoe is all about the wedge. I'm terrible at walking and heels and wedges make my feet a lot happier. These white ones would go with anything and everything and could take you though all the way through till the end of summer

Scuba Skater Dress £46.00

I love the yellow shade of this dress, it’s gorgeous. In the past I would have not been brave enough to wear a colour which is as bright as this one. However I have been finding myself a bit more adventurous lately and I would like to think I could make this dress work for me. It reminds me of a dress that I saw Blake Lively wear in Gossip Girl and this is the main reason why it caught my eye as I loved the outfit she had on then. This would dress would look amazing paired with some bright turquoise jewellery for a bit of a contrast!

I hope you enjoyed today’s picks beauties and as always I would love to hear your thoughts!

This Girls Gotta Have Em | Topshop

Hello lovelies. This weeks 'This Girls Gotta Have Em' is looking at Topshop (again). I've been having a good browse though fashion sites and there are so many nice bits and bobs in Topshop that I thought it would be rude not to share my favourites with you. Today's picks defiantly look at brights for the summer which I'm sure most of us are all looking forward too!

From Left to Right

Geo Girl Photo Tunic £20.00

I am loving this photo tunic top. It's full of bright colours and would look great paired with some denim shorts or some leggings while we wait for the weather to warm up. For me this tee has a festival vibe to it and would be perfect if you planning on going to any festivals this year. What I love most about this top has to be the cut out design at the back as I find it makes the tee all that more interesting,

Moto High Waist Space Hotpants £34.00

I saw these shorts on the Topshop website and at first I was a bit undecided about them, but the more I looked at them the more I liked them. They are just really fun and bright and would certainly look great for Spring/Summer. These are the sort of shorts where everyone would be asking 'where did you get those from?'

Leopard Full Skirt £42.00

I'm a huge fan of leopard print and I am in love with full skirts right now as they create movement and texture to your outfit. I think the design of this one is perfect and this is the type of skirt you could really dress up or down. Keep it simple with a nice black cami tucked in would look amazing.

Mullet Hem Chiffon Bandeau Dress by Rare £65.00

This is the ideal dress to take away with you on holiday and I just adore the colour. This would be a timeless staple piece in any ones wardrobe

Ethnic Toe Ring £5.00

Seeing toe rings on line and in stores defiantly gets me excited as it means that warmer weather is only around the corner and we can start showing off our toes again. I love a good old toe ring and I love the turquoise in this one

Floral Zip Back Dress by Rare £49.00

How vintage and cute looking is this dress? I love the shape and the design is very romantic. Its a gorgeous aqua blue and the floral design is beautiful. This would look lovely with some sandals or flat forms

Scorch High Contrast Platforms £68.00

I don't think these shoes are for the faint hearted as they are bold and yellow can be a bit of a daunting colour. However it was the yellow in the design that really drew me to them and I think that they would look lovely on, especially if you wanted people to take notice of your pins.

Magical Lip Tint in Crystal £9.00

As a lot of you know the Topshop lipsticks are becoming a bit of  a cult item in the beauty world (I'm still yet to get my hands on one) I saw this Magical Lip Tint on the website and thought it would be great to share with you beauties. It's a lip tint which will react to your skin tone to create a unique shade of pink . Normally products like this are cream of the crop or bottom of the mop! But seeing how good Topshop lipsticks are I would like to think this stain is towards the top of the scale. Have you tried it? Then please let me know how you found it.

Hope you enjoyed these picks beauties, as always I would love to know your thoughts.
