The Spring Essentials - My Top Beauty Picks

The Spring Essentials - My Top Beauty Picks, Bourjois, Smashbox, Mac Honeylove, L'Oreal True Match, Yves Rocher
The Spring Essentials - My Top Beauty Picks, Bourjois, Smashbox, Mac Honeylove, L'Oreal True Match, Yves Rocher

Whenever I think of spring beauty essentials, pretty pinks, soft smokey eyes and dewy skin always come to mind. For me theres something really refreshing about the change of the seasons and the start of spring starts that countdown to summer. I think generally everyones moods uplift a little this time of year. One thing that really allows me to embrace the change of the seasons is changing up my makeup a little bit. So today I've brought a few of my favourite beauty bits together which I think will be perfect for spring and are an essential in any makeup bag.

L'Oreal True Match Foundation

One of the first things that gets switched up in my makeup bag this time of year has to be foundation. During the colder wintery months I like something with a little more coverage. But spring time is all about that fresh glowly dewy skin. I love it when your skin has that 'I'm not wearing any makeup' makeup look, if you know what I mean. Whilst there are loads of amazing medium to light coverage foundations available, I love reaching for the L'Oreal True Match Foundation. I have combination skin and the light foundations have a tendency to melt off my skin very quickly, so I find the True Match gives my skin that natural skin look but still gives me the coverage that I need.

Bourjois Smokey Stories Palette - Over Rose

No matter what the season I love a smokey eye, but like I mentioned before, for me spring daytime looks are all about soft colours and minimal makeup. This quad eyeshadow palette from Bourjois is perfect for spring. In this palette you get the perfect standard light pink highlight colour, a gorgeous dusty pink shade, a warm dark chocolate shade and a glittery shimmery pink in the centre. These pink toned shadows create such a pretty eye look for spring and the quad allows me to create so many different looks. Another lovely thing about this palette is that each shadow is very pigmented, blends well and has great staying power - Definitely an essential in my makeup bag.

Mac Lipstick - Honeylove

Mac's Honeylove is my most recent Mac purchase and a lipstick that has been on the top of my wish list for some time. As you know I've got a thing for nudes at the moment, and whilst I'm still loving the likes of Velvet Teddy and Brave, I was after something a little bit lighter for spring and Honeylove is that perfect shade. I find it to be a light toned nude which has a slight pink tint to it, so it does't wash my lips out in any way. It's matte formula is in no way drying and last hours on my lips. This lipstick not only looks really fresh and neutral for spring, but it also looks amazing paired with a lip gloss. I have a full review coming up on this lipstick very soon, so be sure to keep a look out for it.

Smashbox Always Sharp Waterproof Kohl Liner

This eyeliner from Smashbox has become a bit of a staple in my makeup bag ever since I received it, but now it's spring I know I'm going to be reaching for it even more. Around this time of year I don't like to wear anything too heavy or dramatic on my eyes and love a more softer eye look. Kohl liners are not only great for creating that perfect smokey eye look, but I love the way that you can blend them out for a much more softer look. This one from Smashbox is really amazing, it's long lasting, sets pretty quickly and it sharpens itself every time you twist the lid off to use it - Which is a huge bonus as I can never find a sharpener when my pencils go blunt.

Bourjois Little Round Pot Cream Blush - #03 Rose Tender

It's the time of year where I say a big hello to cream blushers and my favourite ones have to be the Bourjois Little Round Pots. My most reached for cream blush has to be in the shade Rose Tender as its gorgeous and gives your skin most beautiful and natural rosy cheeked look. I am just loving this pale pinks for spring and this blush really helps to achieve a gorgeous spring look

Yves Rocher La Parfum Comme Une Evidence

Not only do I want to change up my makeup look for the new season, I like to change up my fragrance too. Recently I've been loving this beautiful sweet scented floral perfume from Yves Rocher. This perfume is really light and has a lovely rose scent to it making it the perfect daytime fragrance for spring. Whenever I wear this, I get so many compliments and it's always great to hear that you smell nice. Not only does this perfume smell great, but the bottle is absolutely stunning too and I love the pump that disperses the perfume. It's a spring time winner.

The Spring Essentials - My Top Beauty Picks, Bourjois, Smashbox, Mac Honeylove, L'Oreal True Match, Yves Rocher

As you can see there are a lot of pink in this post but I really love ditching the darker colours that come with winter and swapping them with pink toned shades that really warm up and brighten up my complexion. I would love to know what beauty essentials are working their way into your makeup bag this spring. If any of your picks match mine let me know in the comments below.

2014 Favourites || Makeup

January maybe the month of the blues, but one thing that I always look forward too is rounding up all the makeup and beauty bits that I've been loving over the last twelve months and putting it all together for a yearly favourites post. I think over the last twelve months my makeup collection has probably doubled in size and upon reflecting I think it 2014 was definitely a year where I branched out and decided to try and test out more brands and try different types of makeup. I have to say I found it extremely difficult to narrow my yearly favourites down because I as I was looking though my collection there were so many beauty bits that I love; So the ones that have made it on to this post are the true treasures in my collection and the makeup items that I don't think I could have lived without last year.

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer

Out of all the products that made it's way into my everyday makeup routine pretty much for the entire year has to be the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer. I am so WOWed by this product and it for me it definitely reaches that holy gail status. The first time I applied this primer I noticed how much easier applying my foundation was and this primer continued to amaze me day after day - Whenever I use this my makeup stays put and last for hours - No touch ups needed. If there was one makeup product that would be at the top of my list to try this year, the Smashbox primer would be at the very it.

Benefit Brow Zings

Not a day passed in 2014 where I didn't reach for my Benefit Brow Zings, this dream eyeshadow kit made its way into my last yearly favourites and you know its real love when you've been loving it even more for a second year running. As you can see from the pictures my kit is more than well loved and its about time I bought myself a new one. I find that the gel works perfectly at shaping and defining my brows, whilst the powder is the perfect shade for me and makes filling in my eyebrows so easy and fuss free. It's so beautifully compact that its perfect for popping in your makeup bag and for any touch ups on the go. I've tried and tested the HD palette but prefer the results of this one by miles.

Revlon Colorstay Foundation & Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream

For the best part of the year I would say I prefer a foundation thats a little more heavy duty, one that provides full coverage and works perfectly with my skin type. Not only that I want one to make my skin look pretty flawless too. I tried quite a few foundations during the last twelve months and the one that really stood out to me and got me making a few repurchaches is the Revlon Colour Stay Foundation for oily skin. I love that this is a high street foundation, so its super affordable and does the job brilliantly, I cannot fault it. My skin always looks even and pretty perfect whenever I use this and rarely do I need to touch it up though out the day, even on those hot sticky days during the height of summer.

One foundation that really took me by surprise this year and one that I bought based on recommendations and was some what a bit of a whim purchase for me is the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream. Even though this is labelled a CC cream, its medium like coverage for me makes it more of a foundation and I'm quite happy just to wear this on my skin on its own. I love how radiant this makes my skin look and it always gives it a lovely dewy glow. I also love how the colour correcting side of this foundation cancels out any redness on my skin which makes it look perfect.

Bourjois Poudre Bronze Bronzing Powder

Another beauty favourite of mine, which has been an all time staple in my makeup bag is the Bourjois chocolate bronzer. I've been using this for years and I've found no other bronzer compares to it. If you've been reading my blog for sometime you will know that I always rave about this product and I just cannot fault it. It works perfectly for contouring or for an all over sun kissed bronzed look. It's not too shimmery and for me is the perfect bronzer, I love it.

Bourjois One Seconde Ultra Black Mascara*

I would have to say that mascara is the one beauty product that I'm never really loyal too and I think that is the same for the majority of us. There are just far too many out there and its the one beauty product that you can't really swatch or get a feel for whilst your out shopping. Whilst I'm always picking up new mascaras to try, there has been one in particular that has really stood out to me this year, which is the Bourjois One Seconde Ultra Black Mascara. I love it when a mascara gives my lashes plenty of volume, and this one does it beautifully. There are no need for falsies when you use this, and the ultra black formula really makes your lashes super black, which I find creates that illusion that they are longer.

Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner

In 2013 I was more of a gel liner kinda girls, but in 2014 I don't think I picked up my gel liner at all - It was liquid liner all the way. I don't know what brought on this change, but I just find that liquid liners last a lot longer and they look more 'black' when applying and don't seam to fade as much. One liquid liner that really stood out to me is the Revlon Colour Stay liner. This is the liner that just keeps on giving - I've been using it pretty much everyday since August and it doesn't seem any closer to running out. Once this liner is on it does't budge and throughout the day it still continues to look jet black - Theres nothing worse than liner fading as the day goes on. The fine nib of this liner also makes it really precise when doing your liner which is just what you need for those tricky cat flicks.

Urban Decay Naked Palette

I've had the original Urban Decay Naked Palette for around two years now and I don't think I'll ever get bored of it. As you can see form the picture my palette is looking a little worse for wear but I would prefer to call it well loved. I just adore so many of the warm toned shades in this palette, they work so well for everyday use,  are highly pigmented and long lasting. It's more of the lighter shades that I reach for, for an everyday makeup look - Sin, Sidecar, Buck and Half Baked are my most reached for shades. I think every beauty lover needs this palette in their collection, I can't recommend it enough, its perfect.

Mac Chatterbox || Makeup Revolution Lip Geek* 'Ken Will Want Me'

If you know me well, you know I love lipstick, especially pink lipsticks they are my weakness. I'm always drawn to these barbie pink shades in particular, I find them really wearable and they seam to suit my skin tone well and most makeup looks. Mac Chatterbox is another one of those all-time favourites of mine, the one in the pictures looks pretty new, but its about my third one. Its one of Mac's amplified formulas so its really long lasting and super pigmented, I pretty much wear this everyday in summer. A new favourite that I found last year is such a beauty of a lipstick, and I equally love it as much as 'Chatterbox'. The beautiful lipstick that comes in this bright metallic pink and purple casing is the Makeup Revolution I Heart Makeup Lipgeek Lipstick in the shade 'Ken Will Want Me'. I was won over with the name of this lipstick before even trying it, and once on it looks stunning. Its this beautiful barbie pink toned lipstick that has a subtle blue undertone to it, its seriously gorgeous, I just can't fault it.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick* - Happy Nude Year

When Bourjois released the Rouge Edition Velvet lipsticks last year I was one of those bloggers who instantly fell in love with its unique formula. I have seriously been obsessed with these lipsticks from the word go and have built up quite the collection since they're release date. I just love its velvet cream like formula that is in no way drying; Combined with the longevity of these lipsticks just makes them incredible. My favourite shade has to be one of Bourjois most recent releases which is 'Happy Nude Year' - This pink toned nude is the perfect everyday lipstick colour and matches every makeup look and every outfit, I love it.

So there we have it, my yearly round up of all the makeup bits I've been loving over the last twelve months. I love reading these posts, I don't know about anyone else but its a good excuse to start topping up my wish list again and I just love to know what everyone has been loving. If you've done a yearly favourites post please leave your link in the comments below - And of course let me know what you've been loving.

Bourjois Mega Liner 'Ultra Black'

Right now for me Bourjois are a brand that can seriously do no wrong, and their continuous release of new products always amazes me. At the Bourjois 24Hr Party Ready event that I attended a little while ago I was able to try and test some gorgeous makeup to get us looking party perfect for the festive season. One of their most recent recent launches was the Mega Liner in Ultra Black, and if your a fan of doing winged liner then this is a must have product for you.

I have to say when it comes to eyeliner I'm not really that fussy on what kind of liner I use; I'm always chopping and changing, but its usually a liquid liner that I get on better with. I have dipped my toes into felt tip liners before, but I find them to not be as long lasting so I usually leave them on the shelves.

Since having this Mega Liner in my makeup collection, I've found myself reaching for it everyday because it's just so easy to use. The nib of the pen is angled which makes it perfect for creating different thickness of lines. I also find that the slant of the pen makes doing that all important flick in the outer corner of your eye super easy, which is something that can take me forever in the mornings. No matter how hard I try and how much I practice, I still haven't got my winged liner perfect. This liner very much reminds me of a calligraphy pen (just like the ones they used to make you practice with at school) and I just find that the unique way this pen is shaped makes it perfect for lining your lids. I will be honest it does take a few attempts to get used to, but once you've mastered it, you'll realise just how much quicker it is to do your liner in the morning!

As for staying power, I'm really impressed - There is nothing worse than having an eyeliner fade and smudge though out the day. The Mega Liner might as well be waterproof because once its on, it stays on and won't budge, which is perfect. The shade I've been using is in 'Ultra Black' and I know I've said this about mascara before, but that 'Extra' really does make all the difference when it comes to your eye products. This liner is jet black and it's intense shade puts other liners to shame.

Overall I love this liner and it's definitely worth a pick me up next time your in Boots and browsing the Bourjois stand. You can pick this little beauty up for £7.49. If you've tried this liner be sure to let me know in the comments below, I would love to hear your thoughts.

Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream & 123 CC Perfect Eye Cream

When it comes to BB and CC creams I've always been one of these girls that have never understood the hype or buzz surrounding them. I thought I would jump on the BB cream bandwagon at the time everyone was going crazy for them and I just found that for me they were a complete waste of my money - I never noticed or saw any benefits of using them and I was left out of pocket and disappointed. So when the CC cream came on the scene I decided to avoid it at all costs. However time and time again I kept seeing some amazing reviews of the Bourjous 123 Perfect CC Cream and Eye Cream and my curiosity definitely got the better of me, because a few swatches later at Boots I had popped one of each in my basket and brought them home with me. Before I start this review, I would just like to say Bourjous have converted me to the CC cream way of life, I just love these two products! So if you would like to see why these two products changed my mind, be sure to keep reading.

The 123 Perfect CC Cream (CC meaning colour correcting) contains three different pigments which are there to help cancel out any pigments in your skin. There is Apricot, which helps with anti-fatigue; Green which will help cancel out any redness in your skin and White, which helps with any darker pigmentation. Not only does this cream help you on hiding any imperfections in your skin, it also claims to add a 'luminous completion and smooth skin' which all in all sounds like a pretty incredible product. And I can promise you it is....

Like I mentioned I really wasn't expecting this cream to do much, when it comes to foundation I'm a full coverage heavy duty kind of girl. I love the idea of using light dewy foundations, but having oily/combination skin means I have to be careful because these kind of products cause my makeup to slip and slide. However as this CC cream is oil free I found it worked with my skin rather than against it, I was so impressed that it lasted so well on my skin with only a few touch ups needed during the day.

As for the way it made my skin looked, again I was so impressed. This CC cream is by no means full coverage, but because of all the colour correcting pigments I find that my skin looks so even, smooth and natural when I use this and dare I say pretty perfect. The 123 Perfect CC Cream gives you that your skin but better look. The actual cream has a lovely satin feel to it, and it feels more like a foundation than using a tinted moisturiser which I prefer. Whilst I love that fresh faced dewy look, I find that using a little bit of powder to set it, just creates a lovely natural looking finish.

Left - CC Cream 33 Rose Beige || Right - CC Eye Cream 22 Light Beige

Whilst I think the CC Cream is amazing, it's the 123 Perfect Eye Cream that is the winner for me. When it comes to concealer for under the eye area, I don't like anything too heavy duty and much prefer to use something illuminating than full coverage. I absolutely love the way that this eye cream instantly brightens up my eye area. The cream is so light and blends beautifully which is something you need for such a delicate area. Not only does this eye cream brighten up those nasty dark circles but the silicone nib used for application is perfect for your eye area. It's so easy to pump out the concealer with the twist tube which makes its application clean and fuss free.

I just love these two products and I've been reaching for them every day since I purchased them, they have definitely become staples in my makeup bag. I'm so pleased that I took a bit of a gamble and picked these two products up. I would love to know what your thoughts are on CC creams are and if you've tried any that are just as good as these ones from Bourjous, let me know in the comments below.

October Favourites

It feels like forever since I last posted a monthly favourites post up on my blog. As much as I love tying out new products, I also love using what works for me and I think over the last few months I've been sticking to those holy grail items that have appeared or mentioned on my blog countless of times and therefore theres been no need to get up a monthly favourites post. However I found that during October I came across so many new favourites that I thought it was only right to share them with you, and I think you'll agree there are some good ones featured.

Bourjous 123 Perfect CC Cream

When BB creams were released I tried, tested and felt so let down by them as I found that they never really did anything for me and there was so much hype surrounding them. So when CC creams came about, I was pretty quick to turn a blind eye and ignore all the excitement and hype surrounding them too. I had seen so many rave reviews about the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream and I don't know what came over me the other week in Boots, but I decided on a whim to pick one up and Oh My Gosh - Best purchase ever. I have fallen in love with this CC cream and everything about it. I love how bright it makes my skin look, it feels really lightweight and I look like I'm having a really good skin day every time that I wear this - It's amazing.

Bourjois Colour Edition 24 Cream To Powder Eye Shadow - 'Marron Givre'

You may have seen a recent post on my my blog for my love for these cream to powder eye shadows from Bourjois a little while ago (incase you missed it, you can find it here). These amazing eye shadow pots make doing eye makeup so easy, I especially have been loving the new shade Bourjois have released for the party season which is 'Marron Givre' which is a gorgeous warm chocolate brown shade, perfect for dusting over the eyes, or creating a smokey eye.

Mac 'Cranberry'

Another eye shadow which I have been loving this Autumn and without a doubt has to be the perfect autumnal shade for your eyes has to be Mac's 'Cranberry'. This deep toned berry red shade is so gorgeous on and really gives your makeup look a warm wintery look. I adore this shade, if you would like to see how it looks on, take a look at my full review here.

Percy & Reed Dry Conditioner

I've always loved using Percy & Reed products in my hair, so I was pretty excited when I received this dry conditioner in one of the 'Love Me Beauty' boxes. I had never heard of or used a dry conditioner before so really had no idea what to expect with this product. However I've been reaching for it non stop and it really does make such a difference to the way my hair feels. Having long hair means the ends can often feel and get really dry - On those mornings where my locks are feeling a bit tatty I'll spray some of this into the ends, not only does it smell incredible but my hair feels super soft in an instant. This is such a great quick fix and I love it.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick by Kate Moss 107

This classic lipstick is not a new favourite, but it's a product that I've fallen back in love with now autumn/winter is here. Last year I wore this sultry berry red lipstick non stop, and it's all I seem to be reaching for again at the moment. I love how this lipstick looks and feels on and I think that this will forever be a favourite of mine.

So that's everything for my favourites this month, I would love to know what you've been loving and if any of your beauty favourites match mine.

Bourjois 1 Seconde Ultra Black Mascara

When it comes to mascara, I think it's fair to say that its the one beauty item in our makeup bag that is always changing around. With so many mascaras to choose from, and with it being the one cosmetic that we can't really swatch or try out in the shops before we take it home, it can be really hard to find 'that perfect mascara'. I think I was quite lucky, as around two years ago I picked up the 'L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes' and it soon became my all time favourite mascara; Since then I've been pretty loyal to this one mascara. However Bourjous have changed things up in my makeup routine recently and I've now fallen in love with a new mascara - The Volume 1 Seconde Mascara (in ultra black).

As some of you may know, I was kindly invited down to the Bourjois press event in London a few weeks ago to take a look at the new makeup that will get us ready for the party season, and I was able to take one of these 1 Seconde Mascara's home with me as part of the amazing goodie bag that I received. Well I can honestly say that this mascara has changed everything and I think I've found my new holy grail mascara - It's that good.

For me the perfect mascara has to give my lashes plenty of volume, have the perfect wand for application - Nothing too big and clumsy and I can't be dealing with the really skinny wands either. I like quite a bristly brush, and one that coats my lashes evenly. The actual mascara also has to be wet, but not so wet that it it takes ages to dry and could easily smear everywhere. The Volume 1 Seconde Mascara does all of this and more and just makes my lashes look beautiful.

I love the unique wand of the Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara, you might be able to see from the pictures that it has it's usual straight bristles running though the wand, but also has these tiny spherical balls in-between the bristles. This magic wand makes applying the mascara so easy, coating each lash as I turn the wand and most importantly doesn't leave any clumps behind.

For those of you who are already fans of the 1 Seconde Mascara may notice that this one comes in a black shiny casing, instead of it's usual shiny silver one, and this is because Bourjous have just released the 'Ultra Black' one just in time for the party season. I don't know if it's just me but I love it when a brand offers the darker version of black in its makeup products - For some reason that 'Extra Black' shade really does make a huge difference and adds so much more drama and intensity to your eyes, which I love.

I really can't fault this mascara, and I know as soon as I've run out, I'll be stocking up on some more. If your looking for mega volumised lashes and a mascara that gives that flash lash effect but without the falsies then I really recommend giving this one ago.

Bourjois Colour Edition 24H Cream To Powder Eye Shadow

Bourjois Colour Edition 24H Cream To Powder Eye Shadow* Flocon D'or' & 'Marron Givre'

I have to say it was love at first swatch when I first tried out these two gorgeous new shades of the Bourjois Colour Edition 24H Cream to Powder eye shadows at the Bourjois press event the other week. Since that first swatch my love for these beautiful shadows has grown and I've been reaching for them everyday, I absolutely love them.

Whenever I see shadows that come in a little pot and have a cream like formula, I always think they are going to be like Mac Paint Pots or have the texture of the Maybelline Colour Tattoos, however not having tried these little pots of shadow from Bourjois before, I was a little taken back at just how different these are. These shadows feel just like a cream shadow to the touch, but as soon as you start to apply this on your lids, this cream like formula blends out just like a regular eyeshadow would. I was actually so amazed, the formula is not sticky at all, applies really evenly and blends like a dream. Not only do they look amazing on, but they are so long lasting, make a great stand alone eye shadow or fabulous paired with your regular shadows.

Applied with either your fingers or a brush, these cream to powder shadows look amazing once on. I found that I much preferred to use a brush for application as I found it to give a really even coverage and you can get more precise with your blending.

The two new shades which have been added to the collection for the up and coming party season are 'Flocon D'or' a beautiful pearly white shade that has pretty flecks or gold glitter and shimmer running though it. I love how this shade glitters, but it's not grainy or chunky at all, it just applies smoothly on. The second shade is 'Marron Givre' a warm chocolate brown shade which has a slight frosty finish  with an added bit of sparkle.

These two shades work great on their own, or paired together. I've been using 'Flocon D'or' as an all over base for my eye shadow and as a highlight (it looks stunning on the inner corners of your eye and under your brow bone); Whilst 'Marron Givre' looks beautiful swept over your lid and blended out to your crease if your wanting to create a quick fuss free smokey eye.

These two Colour Edition 24H Cream to Powder Eye Shadow's have quickly become a firm favourite of mine and would make a great edition to your makeup bag, especially with Christmas just around the corner. If you've tried these shadows from Bourjois, then I would love to hear your thoughts? Let me know in the comments below.

Loving Bourjois Back

When it comes to treating ourselves to makeup on the high street there are some brands that really stand out to me and have some wonderful ranges of products to offer us beauty obsessed girls. Bourjois hardly need any explanation as to why they're so great, so I'm just going to say outright that I really adore the brand and probably at least half of the contents of my makeup bag are Bourjois products. Not only are Bourjois products great in terms of value and quality, but I adore their branding and I love how each product has a girly chic look to it. The first product I ever tried from Bourjois was their famous chocolate bronzer, and to this day is still a holy grail item for me; I wouldn't be without it. I thought it was about time I gave some love back to my favourite makeup brand and showcase some of my favourite Bourjois makeup bits and bobs.

Poudre Bronzante Delice de Poudre (AKA Chocolate Bronzer)
As I mentioned previously the chocolate bronzer is the one product from Bourjois that has been a staple in my makeup bag for years and I would definitely class it as one of my holy grail products. Words cannot express just how much I love this product and there is rarely a day that passes where I don't use it. To me the Poudre Bronzante Delice de Poudre makes the perfect bronzer because it gives your skin that beautiful sun-kissed look without the need to overdo it on the bronzer. The bronzer has a soft silky texture to it which is very buildable and its matte finish makes it perfect for an all over bronzed look or for those of you who love to contour. The fact that this bronzer smells like chocolate is just one huge added bonus and makes it like no other bronzer I've ever tried. Its quite simply amazing and I love it.

Bronzing Primer
As you can see from the picture, there is not a huge amount of this product left (we really are scrapping the sides here), the reason being is that I love it so much - In fact this is my second pot! Primers are such an essential in our makeup routine, but this bronzing one is just that extra bit special and perfect for the summer months. Not only does this primer reduce the appearance of lines and smooths out the skin, but you get a gorgeous sun kissed glow at the same time which really does give you that extra boost of radiance (think gorgeous holiday skin). I love wearing this either on its own on those minimal makeup days, or underneath my foundation to give my skin that extra summer glow.

Healthy Mix Serum
Last summer the healthy mix serum was my go too foundation and now that we've finally stepped into summer again, its making a speedy comeback into my every day makeup routine. For me summer makeup is going for that fresh faced, natural dewy skin look and the healthy mix serum is the perfect foundation to achieve this it. I love the way that this looks on my skin, its not too heavy and I love how it makes my skin look super healthy at the same time. This foundation paired with the Bronzing Primer is one of my favourite combinations for summer and they work perfectly together.

If I'm honest I never really got behind the BB Cream hype and I'm still yet to find one that I absolutely love and swear by. However if I had to choose one BB cream to recommend anyone it would have to be this 8 in 1 Bronzing one. Why? Not only does it do a fantastic job at hydrating my skin, but the bronzy shade gives my skin such a gorgeous natural looking flush of colour. I love using this first thing in the morning when I'm heading off to the gym to make me look a little more human; It really is the perfect cream to apply when you want to go for a look that's very minimal, but to still have a little bit of colour at the same time. The bronze is not too dark and blends out really evenly into your skin making it more of a subtle glow; Think your own skin but with a sheer tint of bronze added to it. This BB cream also does a great job at evening out your skin tone too, so its a great all rounder.

Khol & Contour Eyeliner

If you've read my most recent monthly favourites post you will know the story of this eyeliner and how it came to be such a staple in my every day makeup routine. This khol liner is by far one of the better pencil eyeliners that I've tried. To me the perfect eyeliner should not drag across your eye lids, but not be too soft at the same time, is long lasting in your waterline and should be really bendable to create a gorgeous smokey eye. This khol liner really does tick all of those boxes and I especially love wearing this in my waterline as it creates a lot of drama.

Cream Blush '03 Rose Tender'

As soon as these pretty little pots of cream blush where realised from Bourjous they became quite the hit amongst us beauty bloggers, and I can see why. If your wanting to add a subtle, but gorgeous pop of colour onto your cheeks that's really natural looking then one of these cream blushes is the way forward. My favourite one in the collection has to be the shade 03 in Rose Tender; It's this beautiful dusty pink colour that looks stunning once applied to the apples of your cheeks. Rose Tender makes it look as though your cheeks are naturally flushed pink, and is a very wearable shade that will suit most skin tones, especially those of you with paler skin. I love how these apply like a cream, but dry to this lovely satin finish on your cheeks. Not only are they really wearable, but they blend like a dream which makes them the perfect cream blush.

Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick 'Red Pepper'

I think these Rouge Edition Velvet Lipsticks have to be one of Bourjois most exciting new releases; I am in love with these velvety liquid lipsticks and don't have bad word to say about them. I think this is a really fun lipstick to apply and wear, and it's doe foot applicator makes it really clean to apply. The velvet lipstick has this stunning matte finish, which almost feels quite mousse like on your lips. It goes on quite shiny, then instantly dries like a stain. What makes these velvet lipsticks so special is that they are in no way drying at all, which is often a flaw with lipsticks that have a matte finish. The Shade 'Red pepper' wins hands down for being my favourite, it's the perfect orange red shade and works beautifully with a tan for this time of year.

Shine Edition Lipstick '23 Grenade-In'

Out of all the lipsticks that Bourjois have to offer us, the Shine Edition ones have to be my favourite, not only do they look spectacular and shiny in their casing, but they look just as beautiful once on. The Shine Edition lipsticks feel and look like a gloss on, but they have the colour intensity of a lipstick and look so bright and beautiful. This is a look that I love and I reach for these so often. The formula is very comparable to the Revlon Lip Butters, but in my opinion these are way better as they are that little bit more hydrating and have a lot more staying power. Right now I am loving the shade 'Grenade-In' which is this bright fuchsia colour; Not only does it make your lips pop, it extremely girly and feminine at the same time.
So that's all of my favourite Bourjois must haves - I would love to know if any of your favourites match mine and what is your favourite item from Bourjois? Let me know in the comments!

Lots of Love
