Pregnancy Update - Week 33
I thought I'd kickstart February with a pregnancy update for you guys. I've been really slacking with these updates, actually with blogging full stop. But I feel that a huge part of this is because January saw me just completely exhausted with my pregnancy and it was by far one of the toughest months that I've been through so far. In January I had just gone into my third trimester and not only did I suffer with complete exhaustion but I was also diagnosed with Anaemia, so I just had no energy levels whatsoever. Honestly it's so hard tying to find the words to decribe just how tired and exhausted I was feeling, I've never felt anything like it in my life. I had to take some time out of work and sadly some time away from my blog. I'm having to take three iron tablets a day to help me with my anaemia and I'm trying to get as much rest as I can, so I feel a good 70% better. I think it also helps that I'm finish work for a year in a weeks time and I am literally counting down the days. It's such a crazy thought that I can't get my head around.... No more work for a YEAR!
As far as bump and baby go there is so much to report back and as you can see from the pictures, little man has gotten so big; He is pilling on the pounds. As amazing as it is to see him grow, it also terrifies me! I mean I have to push him out and with six and half weeks before his due date I just keep thinking he can't get any bigger, can he? My midwife has already broken the news that I can which just makes me feel more anxious as the due date gets closer. Although I am really excited to meet him, see him and hold him. I think the whole labour thing is bitter sweet, I'm just trying to get my head around that it is actually going to happen and soon.
How far along? Today I am 33 weeks and 5 days.
Movement? My little boy is already like me in the fact that he is the biggest fidget bum ever. In the last couple of weeks his movements have been non stop and I am constantly seeing and feeling him have a good wiggle around. I have a feeling that he has really long legs as I'm constantly seeing a foot or leg pop out. As wonderful as it is being able to see him move underneath my skin, it can be really uncomfortable at times, so much so that I tickle my skin to make him pop his feet back in and he responds. I just love our little moments like this.
Food Cravings? There hasn't been anything in particular that I've been craving other than my need for sparkling water still. I probably drink about 2 litres of it a day which is just a crazy amount of sparkle. But at least I'm keeping myself hydrated and my skin has been thanking me for it.
Sleep? Sleeping has been a right nightmare. Sometimes its so bad that I actually dread going to bed at night as I just know that its such a struggle to get comfortable. It's really horrible because as tired as I am, I take forever to drift off. Not to mention I am constantly getting up through the night to go to the toilet which is really frustrating. I think my body is definitely preparing me for a lot of interrupted sleep when baby arrives because I can't remember the last time I slept the whole way through the night,
Gender? Little man is still very much a little man. In December I had to go back from a growth scan and the nurse confirmed that he is definitely a little boy.
Symptoms? I mentioned my anaemia at the beginning of this post and this is the one symptom that I've really been struggling with. Tiredness is such a killer and its a tiredness that I've never experienced before. Finding any motivation at all is such a struggle.
Stretch Marks? No, I've been oiling up non stop and so far I can't see any!
Belly button in or out? It's finally popped all the way out.
Looking forward to? It has to be finishing work for good. I had to bring my maternity leave forward as I've just really struggled with work and now the finish line is finally in sight. It will be so nice just to have a few weeks to myself before little man arrives.
When I finish work I plan on getting a lot more pregnancy related posts up as theres so many other bits that I want to talk about. If you have any questions please let me know in the comments below.

Blogmas Day 15 - Pregnancy Update | Week 24- 26
So today I am 26 weeks pregnant and I know I say this in every pregnancy update post, but I can't believe I'm this far along! It's almost like I'm starting to see the finishing line in sight and it's so exciting. I've always said that as soon as Christmas and New Year are over and done with, then my countdown really starts.
I'm starting to come out of the second trimester now and I'm really starting to feel the effects of the third. In the last two weeks I really have noticed such a change in my body and I'm starting to find all those smaller everyday tasks a lot more difficult now. It also feels that tiredness has hit me again with full force. Although it's a completely different kind of tiredness as to what I experienced in the first trimester; This time everything feels a lot more physically demanding and I'm not coping too well with all my joints aching, especially my feet. All this aside though, I'm in a very good place mentally and I just can't wait to meet little man now, its the one thing that keeps me going.
At the end of last week I had another midwife appointment where I got to hear little mans heart beat for the first time which was just incredible, it really was one of the best experiences ever. Pregnancy is hard, but hearing him just makes you realise that your doing it all for him, I guess my mummy instinct is just starting to kick in.
The only thing that made me feel a little bit down about the midwife appointment was that when she measured my belly, it was showing slightly smaller that what I should be at this stage in my pregnancy, which is weird because in my head I think I'm huge. Due to being a little bit smaller I have to go to the hospital at the end of this week for another scan just to make sure baby is ok and growing well. My midwife has stressed to me not to worry, but for some reason that has the complete opposite effect, I just want the scan now so I know everything is ok and have that peace of mind.
How far along? 26 weeks and 2 days
Movement? Little man is still moving around frequently and I love it. I feel that theres a lot more interaction from him now and that I can sometimes get a reaction when I rub my tummy. It's amazing to knowing he can feel and hear things. I love it.
Food cravings? No food cravings, but I am still obsessed with sparkling water! I don't have any in the fridge right now and it's making me really sad.
Sleep? At the moment I find it takes me ages to get to sleep no matter how tired I am, but once I do drift off I actually have a good nights sleep which is great. The only thing that is not helping is that I want to sleep all the time again.
Gender? For those of you who didn't catch my gender reveal post last week (here) I'm excited to say I'm having a little baby boy! Eeep.
Symptoms? Tiredness has been a killer for me this week and I'm now starting to get a cold which is really not helping things.
Stretch Marks? None
Belly button in or out? It's actually popped out a little bit more now!
Looking forward to? I'm really looking forward to my scan on Sunday. Ideally it would be good if I didn't need one because that would mean that baby is growing ok. But it will be nice to see his little face on the monitor again, so I am looking forward to that and to getting peace of mind that he's ok.
I can't thank all of you enough for your support with my pregnancy, all of your comments really make my day. I know a lot of you are mums yourself, so if any of you have had to go back for a growth scan please let me know how you got on?

Blogmas Day 4 - Pregnancy Update || Week 24
I can't believe I'm now 24 weeks pregnant! Every week seems to amaze me, its crazy because never before in my life have I been on a countdown like this. I never fully realised just how long 9 months is. Imagine counting down the days or tallying up the passing days, everyday, for nine months, thinking about it just completely overwhelms me.
I'm trying to get these pregnancy posts up weekly now, for those of you who left such lovely comments on lasts weeks pregnancy post thank you so much! It really made my day. There has not been many changes from last week, apart from the fact that this little one is growing and seems to be growing very fast. I've hit stage two where nothing fits me, which is really frustrating. So far through my adult life I've been quite lucky and never been anything more than a size 8, so it's really weird now buying a pair of jeans that are a size 12. I decided not to pick up maternity ones because they just make me look really frumpy, but good old Primark sorted me out - Cheap and cheerful.
Actually whilst in Primark, my mum and I had a full on giggling fit because I bought a jumper that was so far off my pre pregnancy body. I bought a jumper in a size 20! Can you believe it?! I can't either! It was just so cosy, has plenty of room and I thought I could wear it off the shoulder. It's not the most faltering on, but its really hard to feel glamorous whilst being pregnant!
Other than laughing over sizing of clothes, not much has changed with me or baby, we're both doing really well. There has been a lot of movement this week though, which is honestly the best part of my day. I saw for the first time an actually kick underneath the skin of my tummy which was so nice to see.
How far along? 24 Weeks & 5 days
Movement? Baby and I have had so many magical movement moments this week, not only have I seen the little one actually move underneath my skin but I've had lots of wriggles during the morning and throughout the day. The other morning I was lying in bed and felt a kick, so rubbed my belly and baby kicked again and this happened for three times. It was so lovely having a reaction like that. I feel like our bond is getting stronger and baby sparkle is starting to show some personality.
Food cravings? I've had no food cravings this week, but I am now addicted to sparkling water. The midwife told me right at the beginning to avoid fizzy drinks that have a lot of sugar in them such as coke. I've never been one to go crazy for fizzy drinks, but I did fancy something with a bit of spark in the other day so bought some sparkling water. I'm now drinking around 6 bottles a day! Yikes!
Sleep? My sleep has actually been so good this week, but I have had the week off work so I think that has a lot to do with it, it's been so nice being able to rest and actually put my feet up.
Gender? Ahh I can't wait to tell you guys, I'm revealing the news on Tuesday next week for my birthday, so make sure you check back for that. I've nearly slipped up so many times typing this post up!
Symptoms? This week I've felt pretty much symptom free! I can't believe it. I'm just feeling so positive and happy.
Stretch Marks? Still none (yay).
Belly button in or out? Still in.
Looking forward to? James and I are heading to Germany this weekend just for a little overnight stay. This trip has been booked since the beginning of the year and we're heading off to the German markets which I'm so excited about. We're traveling by train, so its going to be a long journey, but it will be really nice to get away. I keep thinking it will be our last break just the two of us.
Keep sharing your guesses guys on baby sparkles gender. I am so excited to tell you, eep! If you have any questions, leave them in the comments below.

Pregnancy Update - Week 18-23
Hi guys, so this post is well overdue. Since announcing my little bump of joy a few weeks ago I had intended to get so many more pregnancy related posts up. But if I'm completely honest I am finding pregnancy so hard and throughout this whole journey have not realised just how tired that I'm going to be! Before when my mummy friends were going through pregnancy and they told me that they were tired, I just thought it was a normal tiredness. Now through I can totally understand what this pregnancy tiredness is all about and it's just so hard, especially trying to work full time too.
Apart from being overly tired though, everything has been so great and since I announced my pregnancy I am now full swing into my second trimester and I have to say that I've actually really enjoyed this stage of pregnancy. Its been a time where I've felt a lot more like me. As tired as I've been I've found that when I have been active I've had so much focus and drive which has been lovely. Unfortunately these moments have been at work and not when I actually want all that motivation to type up blog posts or tidy up my home!
One thing that has been really exciting since I last spoke to you guys is that we found out the sex of little baby sparkle and it really was such a turning point in my pregnancy; It just made everything feel more real. I will be doing a gender reveal post very soon - My birthday is coming up soon so I think I will announce it then as a little celebration. Even though James and I know what we're having, we are still struggling with baby names, who would have thought there would be so much pressure in choosing a name. We have a few favourites, but not one that we've decided on yet.
How far along? 23 Weeks & 3 days
Movement? There has been so much movement over the last couple of weeks which has been so exciting. Even James felt a little kick the other night which was just so special. This little one definitely comes alive at night time, especially after I've eaten or when I'm trying to get to sleep. It really is the best feeling ever though.
Food cravings? My biggest one has been Marmite on toast. I've always been on the hate side of Marmite and now I love the stuff, I pretty much have it every day. The craziest thing is that that was my mums craving when she had me, how amazing is that?
Sleep? My sleeping pattern has been so hit and miss which is something that does really effect me day to day. Like I said baby likes to move and wriggle around at night time and this stops me from sleeping. And then there are those nights where I'm constantly getting up to go to the toilet. It's like I have a really bad few nights of sleep, then will just sleep non stop.
One thing that I have been finding is that I tense my legs up so bad in my sleep that I get really bad cramps in my calves. They're so painful that I'm almost in tears and they ache loads the next day. I don't understand why this happens at all.
Gender? I just want to share with the world what baby sparkle is, but all will be revealed very soon I promise.
Symptoms? The tiredness is still really getting to me, although its a completely different tiredness to what I experienced in the first trimester, when I was literally sleeping all the time. I feel a lot more physically tried now and am starting to notice the strain pregnancy is having on my body. My job requires me to stand all day on my feet, which I don't think helps with the tiredness.
Stretch Marks? No sign of any yet, which is great. I use Johnson's Baby Oil every night and so far I think it's helping.
Belly button in or out? It's still on for the time being, but it looks as though its about to pop out at any moment.
Looking forward to? James and I have just ordered our pram this week as it was on offer and I cannot wait for it to arrive. Its like a really early Christmas present.
Let me know your guesses as to what gender little baby sparkle is going to be in the comments below? Also let me know how your pregnancy is going?
