Topcorn Tribe || Metcalfe's Skinny Topcorn

It's not very often I talk about food here on my blog, actually this maybe the first time ever, but some foods are just worth sharing, Metcalfe's Skinny Topcorn being one of them - The food we all associate as a cinema treat, popcorn!

For those of you who have been following me for sometime will know that I'm quite the gym enthusiast and healthy eating and working out really do go hand in hand. Therefore I'm constantly trying to switch things around in my diet, opting for those healthier options. Whoever said carbs are the devil are lying I'm positive, as there is no way that I could go a day without eating them, its just about choosing the right ones and avoiding the not so good ones.

As well as eating healthy, I am one of these girls that always has the huge urge to snack and pick at food and finding healthier alternatives to chips, chocolates and sweets can be a right pain, just because these kinds of foods are so mouthwatering and tempting. BUT never fear ladies, Metcalfe's have provided us with a just as tasty treat and healthier option too. Popcorn makes a great skinny snack, not only does it fill a little hole in our bellies and tides us over until lunch or dinner time, its really low in calories and is such a tasty delicious treat - See I told you not all carbs are bad!

Metcalfe's have so many popcorn flavours for us to choose from which is bound to tickle everyone's taste buds; From something savory like their 'Sea Salt' flavour (my fave) to something sweet like their 'Chocolate Crackle' option, there is something to suit every kind of snacking.

Believe me when I tell you the guys at work always catch me snacking away on my Metcafle's Skinny Topcorn, which is why I'm so thrilled that the wonderful guys over at Metcalfe's made me a member of their Topcorn tribe. With summer around the corner I know its the time of year where we will try and make those healthier options and swapping over to Topcorn is a swap that I recommend taking.

Are you a lover of Metcalfe's Skinny Topcorn? What's your favourite flavour? Be sure to let me know in the comments below.

Fashion Union Cinderella Cross Back Cami Dress || OOTD

Cinderella Dress* - Fashion Union || Bowler Hat - River Island || Ankle Boots - River Island

Cami dresses, floral prints, neon colours and pins out can only mean that warmer days are in sight and I don't know about anyone else but my wardrobe is already starting to fill up with spring and summer things. This time of year I ditch the denim and opt for pretty dresses anytime that I can, although for the purpose of this post I ditched my beloved black tights and dared to bare all. Floral prints shoutout spring time and this Cinderella dress from Fashion Union has the most gorgeous neon pink rose pattern running though it, making it perfect for spring/summer.

As with any item of clothing, I love attention to detail and the cross over back of the Cinderella dress makes this cami a little more glam and girly. For the perfect daytime look I've paired it with my favourite summer bowler hat and some high, but so comfy black platform ankle boots - You always see me wearing them. honestly I don't think I could love a pair of boots more than these!

I would love to know what your thoughts are of this Cinderella dress and and how you would style it? Also be sure to let me know what key items your picking up for your wardrobe this spring/simmer?

Lots of Love

March Favourites

Its the start of a new month, which can only mean one thing... Time for another monthly favourites post. In March we were fortunate to be blessed with some gorgeous sunny days and milder weather (at last) which made it the perfect opportunity to switch some items around in my makeup bag. So here are all my beauty favourites and the reasons as to why they made it to the top spot this month.

Revlon Nail Enamel - 85 Minted

I'm not sure if this is a discontinued nail polish of Revlons as I picked up this gorgeous pale green mint shade in the 99p Store of all places and at that price it would be rude of me not to have taken one home with me. The change of seasons is definitely changing up my choices in terms of colours when it comes to nail polish and for me this time of year pastels shades are always a winner. I love wearing this pastel minted shade on my nails, not only does it look pretty on but it looks quite understated and classy on.

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm - 245 Audacious

Like every other beauty blogger out there March saw me jump on the bandwagon for the new Revlon Colourburst Matte Balms - Although saying that I only picked up the one, but I'm planning on adding some more to my collection very soon. I picked up the bright orange/coral shade in Audacious and its been so refreshing wearing a colour on my lips other than a pink or berry tone shade. This matte finish balm creates the perfect finish to any spring look that your going for and the colour is just gorgeous.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick - 07 Fuchsia Graffiti

Although I've been loving wearing my lips a little orange, my love for bright pink lipstick will never fade and this month I've been loving this bold fuchsia shade which comes from one the of Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipsticks. Bourjois are a fabulous brand for lipsticks and I've loved quite a few of their shades in the Rouge Edition range; Fuchsia Graffiti gives you the perfect statement lip, its bold bright and beautiful and again perfect for spring.

No7 Beautiful Skin Night Cream Normal/Oily Skin

The last few months have really seen me change up my skin care routine and I've become a little obsessed with wanting to buy and try new products. I was in desperate need for a new night cream and I've found this one from No7 works perfectly for my skin type. Working in a place which has the air conditioning and heating on constantly, really leaves my skin feeling thirsty and this night cream by No7 really pops all the moisture back into my skin; I wake up in the morning and my skin feels nourished and hydrated again.

Soap & Glory Hand Food

I really need to give no explanation as to why I love this hand cream from Soap & Glory so much, it seams to be such a hit among us beauty bloggers. However this month I've been using it non stop just because my hands really have needed saving. I've been changing up my gym routine, incorporating a lot more weights and arm work into my workouts, which has left my hands in a right sorry state for themselves. Lifting weights is not hand friendly at all, even with the use of gym gloves and Hand Food as been helping to keep my hands free from dry spots.

So that's everything for my monthly favourites, I would love to know what you've been loving this month? Be sure to leave the links for your posts in the comments below and I'll take a look.

Lots of Love

L'Oreal Studio Secrets Professional Smoothing Resurfacing Primer

There was a time a little while back where I thought the use of a primer was nonsense and just another layer of makeup that I could add on my skin along side everything else I use. However this year I can tell you that I've been converted and I now put a big hands up in the air to using a primer as it really does make such a difference to my skin and the way my makeup applies. A little while ago I spoke about my love for a Pixi Redness Reducing Primer (review) and loads of you came back to me saying that the L'Oreal Studio Secrets Professional Smoothing Resurfacing Primer was a winner and a must try. So I picked one up based on your recommendations and I've have fallen for this pink fluffy primer from L'Oreal which seams to be such a hit among us beauty bloggers.

This primer from L'Oreal comes in a little jar and contained inside is this fluffy whipped pink mouse like primer. The actual primer itself has a very soft velvety texture to it and you only need to use the smallest amount for each application. As soon as this primer has been applied my face feels so smooth and the primer gives the illusion that my skin looks pretty perfect which is so far from the truth. Not only does it make my face smooth, but it also does an incredible job at hiding away any of those skin imperfections, as well as hiding any larger pores that you may have.

I have oily to combination skin, and with any product that I use on my face there is always the fear that its going to work against my skin type, break me out and cause my makeup to slide off my face thought out the day. I'm pleased to report back that this primer works so well with my skin type and does not feel greasy on whatsoever once its applied - its pretty much undetectable.

Not only is it amazing having a primer that does a great job at making my skin look perfect, but it makes applying my foundation and the rest of my makeup a dream. This works amazing with my current foundation the L'Oreal True Match foundation (review) and I find that having a such a great base makes my makeup last so much longer, including all the extras such as bronzer, blush and highlight.

I can't recommend this primer enough, its amazing and I can't see me not ever using a primer again, I've been officially converted. Initially I thought that this little jar was a tad on the expensive side as you only get 15ml of product for £14.29 but as I mentioned you only need to use a fraction of the primer at one time, so this little jar is going to last me ages - Well worth the investment!

I would love to know your thoughts on this primer from L'Oreal? Are you a fan of primers in general or is there a particular one that you like to use? Let me know.

Lots of Love

Bourjois Shine Edition Lipstick 23 Grenade-In || Review

The clocks going forward this evening means that spring is officially here and what better way to welcome spring with open arms other than a gorgeous hot pink lipstick - My weakness as you all know. A little while back I was lucky enough to win Laura's (Beauty To Couture) giveaway, where I was kindly gifted one of the Bourjois Shine Edition Lipsticks in the shade 23 Grenade-In. For me Spring definitely came early as this has been my go too lip product and I love it so much that it just had to be shown off in its full glory here on my blog.

I've been wanting to get my hands on one the Bourjois Shine Edition Lipsticks for quite sometime, and here's why.... The Shine Edition Lipstick is another one of those formulas that has the colour payout of a lipstick, feels like a balm and has an ultra glossy finish to it - Think a similar formula to our beloved Revlon Lip Butters. I personally love this kind of formula when it comes to choosing what lipstick to wear as you get the best of everything. My lips are still prone to feeling and getting dry around this time of the year and the Bourjois Shine Edition Lipstick does a wonderful job at keeping my lips feeling nourished due to its buttery and soft balm texture. The high shine formula also makes your lips look really healthy and although your lips look glossy they are in no way sticky at all.

What I really love about this lipstick is the colour payout, when it comes to lipstick its a case of the brighter the better for me and I love how the colour that you see in the bullet transfers perfectly onto your lips. The shade 23 Grenade-In is a little darker than your usual bright fuchsia shade as it leans slightly towards a deeper berry shade, which makes it the perfect colour for this time of year. I just love how bright and beautiful this looks once its on. The perfect thing about the formula of the Shine Edition Lipstick, is that if you use a light hand or dap on the product slightly on your lips, then the colour payout is not too bold or vibrant; Making it perfect for those of you who like your lips shades a bit more low key. As for lasting time, the Shine Edition Lipsticks do not take you though the whole day, which is to be expected due to the nature of its formula. However as the gloss and the colour start to fade your lips are left with more of a stained finish, so your lips are still looking pretty.

One more thing to add - I adore the packaging off the Bourjois Shine Edition Lipsticks, the silvery mirrored casing really makes it stand out among my other lipsticks, which definitely makes me reach for it more. I also love how I can see the product at the bottom of the bullet, its a lovely added touch and again makes this lipstick stand out among all the others that I own.

I'm definitely going to be treating myself to some more shades in the Shine Edition range, I've had a little look and I've got my eye on 'Rouge' a vibrant red and 'Oh My Doll which is a baby pink'.

I would love to know what your thoughts are on these lipsticks and what shades you've been loving? Do you love this colour as much as I do?

Lots of Love
