The Best Of The Bunch || May Favourites

May Favourites, Pantene Pro-V Dry Oil, Makeup Revolution, Benefit They're Real Push Up Liner, Make Believe Tan, Hayfever Spray

Hi guys, first of all I'd like to insert a big apology 'right here'. I had every intention of doing some blogging whilst away on holiday, but the second week I was just completely overwhelmed with sunshine, cocktails and beach life, you know how it is! With that being said I feel like I have loads to catch up post wise as there are just so many things I need to blog about. I thought I would start my catch up posts with my monthly favourites. I know I'm way late on this one and it will be only a week or so till the next favourites post goes up, but oh well right?

Last month I found myself using a lot of new products that quickly became love at first use and I've been using them non stop. I'll start things off with haircare. For the longest time I've been Moroccan Oil's number one fan, I've used it non stop and it's by far my favourite hair oil on the market. So you can only imagine my disappointment when I poured every last drop out of the last bottle I had in my stash. Now whilst I can't wait to repurchase another bottle, my holiday savings and spendings meant I couldn't afford to splurge so I've been using a much cheaper alternative. Say hello to the Pantene Pro-V Dry Argan Oil. I picked this up when doing my weekly food shopping as it was on offer and whilst it's not as good the Moroccan Oil it's a pretty good alternative and it's helped to keep my hair soft, sleek and manageable. I find this oil to quite thin which so I do tend to use a little more so it can work it's magic, but I love the way it transforms my hair after using it and I would repurchase it again.

Make Believe Spa & Polish Exfoliator, Make Believe Instant tan Bronzer

A few of my recent posts have featured some products from Make Believe, a tanning brand which I absolutely love. Before I went on holiday I was exfoliating my skin like mad and the Make Believe Spa & Polish Exfoliator was my go too scrub. I just love how this gentle scrub enriched with Argan Oil makes my skin feel, it feels so luxurious on my skin and does a great job at getting rid of any fake tan and of course prepping your skin for a suntan. I've also been loving the Make Believe Instant Tan Bronzer. A lot of you know by now that I'm a little tan obsessed, but I didn't want to do a full fake tan before going on holiday so reached for a daily wash off one instead. This instant tanner from Make Believe gave me such a beautiful glow in an instant and was so easy to apply in the mornings. What I really love about it is that it's non streaky formula applies so easily and it looks very natural, which is a must for me with any fake tanner.

Makeup Revolution Ken Will Want Me Lipstick, Benefit They're Real Push Up Liner

When it came to makeup choices last month, some all time favourites definitely saw a lot of love. I've talked about Makeup Revolutions Lip Geek Lipstick in Ken Will Want Me so many times on my blog, and here I am sat here talking about it again. I think it's possibly my favourite lipstick of all time. Last summer it saw a lot of love and now summer is here again it's all I'm wearing. Ken Will Want Me is such a gorgeous everyday pink colour that really brightens up my look, it's not too bold but not too subtle at the same time, I just love it.

I've also been wearing Benefits They're Real Push Up Liner non stop too. I'm a big fan of this eyeliner for all the obvious reasons; I'm sure you've read all the rave reviews (you can find mine here). But the main reason why this liner has really stood out to me this month is because it's a hayfever makeup life saviour. This time of year I suffer terribly with hayfever and my eyes are constantly watering which means my makeup is forever running down my face. With all that crying the Benefit eyeliner always seems to stay put and doesn't irritate my eyes at all. I don't know how but it also stays put in my waterline which is just amazing and for these reasons I love this liner even more.

Beconase Hayfever Srpay - review

Lastly is a product that I thought I'd throw in for you fellow hayfever sufferers. Like I mentioned I suffer so badly and I'm constantly trying and testing different sprays and tablets to help ease my symptoms. One spray that I've been loving in particular is the Beconase Hayfever Relief as it really helps my eyes from watering and makes me feel less congested. It sounds and is really gross having to spray something up your nose, but I find that it works pretty much instantly. Although it doesn't totally clear my symptoms, it's such a relief spraying it prevents my symptoms from getting worse.

So there we have it, my very late mostly favourites post. I would love to know what you've been loving recently and if you have any recommendations for hayfever relief please share in the comments below.

April Favourites

I can't quite believe that we are in May already, it seams crazy to me at just how fast the year seams to be whizzing by. Although I'm so pleased that we stepping into the summer, which has to be my favourite time of year; I can't wait till it's warm enough to start wearing shorts and pretty little dresses without the need for tights. The weather was noticeably a lot warmer last month and with the warmer weather setting in means there are changes in the makeup choices that I'm starting to make. Last month I discovered a lot of new favourites and I think I've found some new staples in my makeup bag. If you want to know more about the products I've been loving, then be sure to keep reading on.

Ambiance Dry Shampoo*
Being a lover of the Batiste dry shampoo for years, I honestly thought nothing else would compare or knock it off the top spot until I started trying and using this dry shampoo from Ambiance. Now I don't want to go into too much detail as I have a full review going up of this hair wonder very soon, but oh my gosh guys its so amazing. Not only does it clean and refresh my hair in an instant, but it adds so much volume and texture to my hair. I have the one designed for brunette hair obviously and the brown powder means that I get no nasty white marks in my hair. This brush style application makes it a dream to apply and very precise, and is ten times better than any spray dry shampoo that I've tried, I love it!

Make Believe Instant Tan Bronzer*
You guys know that I love fake tan, and there is rarely a week passes that I don't apply the stuff, however I'm yet to find the perfect fake tan that works well when your constantly working out and sweating at the gym too much information I know! But being a regular gym goer means that my skin gets all horrible and sweaty and I've been finding that it's making my fake tan go all patchy, especially the areas where my gym clothing rubs against my skin. To help resolve this problem I've been using an instant tan that washes away on your next trip to the shower as it saves a lot of faff and I don't have to worry about my skin looking all dodgy after a gym session. I've been loving this instant tan from Make Believe as it gives you the most gorgeous golden natural looking tan. This self tanner is so easy to apply and it makes my skin look really healthy, I would recommend it to anyone who's in the same boat as me or looking for a quick fix fuss free tan.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick 'Red Pepper'
I don't want to go into too much detail about why I love this lipstick from Bourjois as I was only raving about it in my full review yesterday, but this has been one of my most used lipsticks since I bought it the other week. Not only does it look amazing on and have fabulous staying power, but the shade 'Red Pepper' is so bright and beautiful and really makes my lips pop. This lipstick really does give you the perfect pout.

Bourjois Cream Blush 03 Rose Tender
This cream blush is another Bourjois product that I've been loving this month. If you read my review of this pretty pink pot of cream blush you will know that this is the first cream blush that I have ever tried and I've been converted to the cream blush way of life, which is a big deal for me as I love my powder blushes. Rose Tender is a girly dusty pink shade of blush which makes your cheeks look perfectly flushed and natural at the same time. The cream formula is really easy to apply and blends in like a dream, its amazing.

Revlon Nearly Naked Powder
This powder was picked up on a whim after my 'Rimmel Stay Matte Powder' came to a finish; I was in the mood to try something new and I was drawn to this Nearly Naked one from Revlon. I'm yet to have tried a Revlon product that I dislike and being a fan of the Nearly Naked foundation, I had high hopes for this powder. Let me tell you that it certainly didn't disappoint! This powder does a wonderful job at smoothing out your skin and keeps your makeup in place without changing the makeup underneath the powder. I always find it pretty annoying when you apply a dewy foundation only to put a matte powder on over the top, it kind of takes away that lovely glow you where going for in the first place. However the Nearly Naked powder still keeps your makeup looking how you intended it too and does a great job at preventing your foundation sliding off your face half way though the day. I can definitely see this being my go too foundation this summer, its such a great product.

So that's everything for this months favourites, I would love to know what products you've been loving recently and to know what your top makeup picks are for this summer?
