Why Vichy Aqualia Thermal Rich Cream is Perfect For Dry Skin

I love trying new products, especially when it comes to skincare. I'm still yet to find that holy grail skin care routine. Does it even exist? I always ask myself this because I never seem to buy the same products over and over. As my pregnancy secret is now out on the open (yay) I have been having some serious trouble and confusion with my skin. My once troublesome oily skin has now turned completely the opposite way and I now suffer with really dry skin, which is just crazy.

As you can imagine I got to know my oily skin pretty well over the years, tried and tested the products that worked best to keep it under control. My entire skincare and makeup has been catered for oily skin, which has caused even more problems for my now dry skin. I've had to change my entire beauty routine on its head and this has also meant introducing a lot of new products.

One product in particular that my skin has been loving and one which has been a bit of a saviour for me is the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Rich Moisturiser. It's literally made my dry skin come to life a little. Even my applied makeup doesn't look so dull on my skin. I've been using it religiously for the last three weeks now and I just love it so much.

The thing my dry skin was really lacking was hydration, which again puzzled me because being pregnant I've never drank so much water in my life - I'm constantly thirsty. So I was really drawn to this moisturiser, probably because the word 'Aqua' is in the name. All I can say is that I am so pleased that I picked this up because it really has given my skin the hydration boost that it so desperately needed. Not only does my skin feel so much better, but it visibly looks so much better. Since I've been using this I've had so many people come up to me saying I have that pregnancy glow which is great because before pregnancy was just making my skin look dull and tried.

As for the actual moisturiser itself, I love how thick and creamy it is. It feels very indulgent when I use it. I know this could be because I'm so used to using light weight moisturisers. But this one feels so lovely, especially when I work it into my skin. As rich as it is, I find that it absorbs into my pores pretty quickly, which not only gives my skin that instant 'ahhh' feeling, but it also means that it works great first thing in the morning before I apply my makeup.

I don't know what my skins going to be like after pregnancy, but right now the  Vichy Aqualia Thermal Rich Cream has been great and I'll continue to use it. I love everything about it. Not to mention the packaging is really lovely, especially with its mirrored top. If your skin is feeling really dehydrated like mine, I would really recommend picking this up.

Super Soft Skin With The King of Skin | Lush Review

Lush, King of Skin, Lush Haul, Lush Review, Skin of Skin Review, Tanya Burr, Moisturiser, Beauty, Skincare

I've always been a big fan of Lush right from the get go. When I was young my sister and I used to venture into their first shop in Poole whenever visiting my aunt and it was only around these visits  that we would get excited about some bath time fun with the use of a bath bomb. Since those early days, Lush have grown and I'm so pleased I don't have to go very far to stock up on my favourite products. The other week I received an email from Lush that got me even more excited about the brand as they are now celebrating 20 years WOW. Not only that my local store was celebrating 10 year anniversary in our town and I was invited to join in with the birthday celebrations! Thanks Lush.

Without going into too much detail about the party (I have another post on that coming up), I wanted to take the opportunity to stock up on some of my most favourite Lush products and I thought it would be great to try out some new things too. When I was walking around the store, I saw a nice little stash of King of Skin and knew immediately that I needed to take one home with me. I think I must be the only Lush fan not to have tried this raved about product, so I popped one straight into my basket! I know that King of Skin is a favourite of Tanya Burr's, so I've been meaning to try it for ages. In case you don't know King of Skin is a moisturising bar that you can use on wet skin in the shower.

For those of you who have been reading my blog for sometime will know that when it comes to moisturiser, I am a woman obsessed; I love the stuff, so I'm always on the hunt for new ones to try. However there is nothing worse than getting out the shower during the colder months as its so cold. I often find myself skipping moisturiser just so I can put some clothes back on. So I thought King of Skin would save me from this morning nightmare as its a bar that you can use whilst in the shower! How perfect is that? All I have to do is rub the bar over my skin, gently rinse it off and my skin is left so soft, its as simple as that.

You’re probably wondering how or why this bar works and to be honest I have no idea about the science behind it. I just know that it contains amazing ingredients such as avocado, banana, oat milk and cocoa butters which are perfect for softening skin. I’ve been using this bar for two weeks now and I have to say I’m really impressed, my arms and legs especially feel so soft to the touch. I also really like the way that this bar domes’t leave my skin feeling sticky afterwards. I’m literally ready to dry off and get dressed as soon as I’m out the shower, which is perfect for those cold mornings or if your like me and a girl on the go.

I always thought I would like King of Skin but in the short space of time its become a new favourite. I would really recommend giving this ago if your after something new to try and want to nourish and hydrate your skin in speedy record time; It’s worked for me. Here’s the link to have a closer look at King of Skin and all its ingredients.

Question for you… What’s your favourite moisturiser or body butter right now? Let me know in the comments below.

LouLouBelle Skincare || My favourite 3 step Skincare Routine

LouLouBelle London Skincare - Combination Skin
LouLouBelle London Skincare - Combination Skin
LouLouBelle London Skincare - Combination Skin

A very happy Sunday to you all, I hope you've had a great weekend. I was thinking that my blog has been very makeup based recently and it's been a little while since I showcased some skincare products. I find this surprising as I've actually discovered so many new skincare products over the last few months that are definitely worth sharing with you all. With this being said I thought I'd take the opportunity to talk about a three step skincare routine that I've been loving recently. All these products are from the brand LouLouBelle London* which is a brand that I've only been introduced too recently, but the products are so lovely that I just have to share.

First of all for those of you wondering LouLouBelle is a skincare boutique which make skincare products from all natural ingredients, essential oils and floral waters. It's these natural combination of products that really have a positive effect on the skin. With most skincare routines there are three steps - Your cleanse, followed by toning and completed by a moisturiser. I'm one of these girls who love to do all three steps religiously every evening and I really love it when a brand provide all there products that are equally good as each other and LouLouBelle Skincare do just this.

LouLouBelle London Skincare - Combination Skin

Starting with the cleanser, the LouLouBelle Lavender & Lemon Rebalancing Cleanser is just gorgeous. First of all I love any skincare products that have a citrus scents, I just find them very refreshing to use. Secondly I find the lavender to be very soothing on my skin. I would say this cleanser is more like a cleansing milk and every time I wash my face with this, my skin literally feels so soft, looks brighter and I see a noticeable difference right away. When it comes to skincare I do want something that brightens up my skin, especially on my cheeks and around my eye area, and this cleanser does a fantastic job at this. It also does a great job at removing eye makeup, it's so delicate on my skin that I have no irritation whatsoever.

LouLouBelle London Skincare - Combination Skin

Next up is my favourite out of the three products, the Geranium & Grapefruit Rebalancing toner. This product is such a pleasure to use and as soon as I use it my skin instantly feels refreshed and looks so much brighter. If you've used the Lush Eau Roma water, it reminds me of that but ten times better. What I really love about it is that it feels like water, it so gentle on my sensitive skin and it actually gives my skin a little hydration boost, which I never get with other toners. Once I've finished using this my face feels so clean, its one of those products that I love using in the morning and the evening.

LouLouBelle London Skincare - Combination Skin

The last product in the three step LouLouBelle routine is the moisturiser, this Mandarin Rebalancing moisturiser just completes the skincare routine perfectly. Not only does it work amazingly with the other two products, but compliments them too. I love that there is the same citrus and lavender theme running through all three products, it makes using them so lovely. What I really love about this moisturiser is that it works perfectly with my combination skin. Whenever I use this in the morning I feel as though my skin has a lovely glow to it and it does a great job at keeping my skin feel well balanced throughout the day. I would say for the evening it's not always heavy duty enough for me as I do like to use a night cream now and again, but for the morning its perfect. The moisturiser is so lightweight, absorbs quickly into my skin and hydrates my skin beautifully at the same time.

Overall I am so impressed with the LouLouBelle Skincare range, you can pick up each product on their own or receive them as part of a gift set like I have which comes beautifully packaged in a box. LouLouBelle also offer their skincare products for every skin type too. I've picked the products for combination skin, but there is also dry and oily skin products on offer too. Head over to their website (here) to take a closer look.

If you're thinking about trying something new on your skin and are looking to invest in a new skincare routine I can't recommend LouLouBelle enough. I would love to know what your favourite skincare items are? Let me know in the comments below.

Organic Surge Extra Care - Skincare Review

Organic Surge Extra Care, Skincare, Moisturiser, Beauty, Eye Cream
Organic Surge Extra Care, Skincare, Moisturiser, Beauty, Eye Cream
Organic Surge Extra Care, Skincare, Moisturiser, Beauty, Eye Cream

I think having the right skincare routine is so important, but finding the perfect one can be so tricky! I can imagine there are a lot of you nodding your heads at this statement and I've been in the same boat time after time. I love trying out new skincare products and recently I've been loving three products from the Organic Surge Extra Care range which are too good not to share with you all. If you've read my blog for sometime, you may have seen me talk about Organic Surge regularly - I am a big fan of their moisturisers and body butters and now the brand have won me over with their skincare.

I've been using three products - The Ultra Light Oil Control Lotion, the Replenishing Facial Oil and the Hydrating Eye Cream. On their own these products are lovely to use, but combined they have made such a massive difference to my skin. These products have made their way into my regular nightly cleansing routine, and right now my skin is probably the best it's been in a long while.

For me the words 'light' and 'oil control' are amazing when used for a facial moisturiser. I have combination skin which is prone to making my makeup slide and slip throughout the day. Let's face it having a greasy looking face is something all of us want to avoid (but it happens right?). So when a moisturiser claims to keep my skin under control, it definitely has my interest. My interest soon turned into love and this light weight lotion has soon become my go too moisturiser for morning and night. It really is lightweight and does an amazing job at keeping my skin oil free. Whenever I use this my skin feels more even, refreshed and soft. It makes a great base for your makeup as the lotion absorbs quickly into the skin. The smell of this moisturiser is also gorgeous, it has a lovely fresh smell to it and you get rose and orange scents coming though -  I love it.

I have to say I've always been a little bit scared of facial oils as I think my pores produce enough on their own oils as it is. However I thought I would give this ago as I've heard nothing but great reviews. You'll be pleased to know that this oil is in no way greasy or makes my skin feel any oiler. In fact it really gives my skin a hydration boost that it sometimes needs. I've been using this oil every evening after I've cleansed, it really does make my skin look fresh and radiant. The oil is incredibly lightweight and absorbs into my skin quickly. You really only need a few jobs for the oil to work its magic, and the result is lovely soft skin. The bottle is huge and as you only need to use a small amount each time, this will last for ages.

I've you've had a read of my most recent monthly favourites post, you may have seen the Organic Surge Hydrating Eye Cream making its way on there. Usually I'm not one for eye creams, I usually skip this step. However I'm at the stage in my life where I need to start taking more care of my eye area and give it the nourishment and hydration that it needs. This eye cream is so lovely to use, its really hydrating and helps reduce any puffiness around my eye area. It's great to use in the morning as well as night time as it's really lightweight and absorbs quickly into my skin. I really think this helps to smooth over any fine lines and makes my eyes look a little brighter. It really is the perfect pick me up.

Overall I love these products. Like I mentioned at the beginning on this post, on their own these products are great, but together they really do work wonders and my skin has been loving them. I would definitely recommend picking them up, especially if your on the hunt for some new skincare products.

I would love to know what your thoughts are on these products? Also let me know what products you use in your current skincare routine?

Lush Sympathy For The Skin Hand & Body Lotion || Review

Most of you know by now that I love body butters and mositurisers, so I'll save you all the long introduction about how they are my favourite skincare product etc. If you had a little peek at my most recent 'Monthly Favouties' post you will have seen this bad boy on there, Lush's 'Sympathy For The Skin Hand & Body Lotion' and since receiving this little gift from Lush, it's shot straight to the top of being one of my favourite mositursers.

What makes this lotion so amazing is the feeling that it leaves my skin after using it, honestly my skin has never felt so soft. This lotion has some amazing ingredients that really work into your skin including banana which does a great job at not only nourishing your skin, but keeping the moisture locked in there too, this way your skin is going to stay softer for a lot longer. Other ingredients also include cocoa butter (one of my favourites) and almond oil.

I don't think I've ever tried any other beauty products that have included banana before, but I really think that the bananas in this body lotion are the key ingredient which make it so special. As soon as you open this pot you get such a lovely whaff of bananas, but its in no way overpowering. The smell of bananas has been dulled down a little, I know that there is also vanilla in this lotion, so it's almost a mix of the two; It smells a bit like a whipped banana smoothie... yummm! I love how this scent lingers on your skin a good few hours after application, and as the day goes on you keep getting little reminders at how good this lotion smelt when you applied it earlier.

As you can see from the pictures, Sympathy For The Skin is very thick in texture and I would definitely describe it to be more of a body butter than your everyday moisturiser; It's very heavy duty. As thick and creamy as it is though, I find that it sinks into your skin pretty quickly and doesn't leave a sticky feeling on your skin afterwards; Although some of you may find this a little bit too heavy for in the day.

I've not got a bad word to say about this lotion, it really is heavenly to use. I think it's banana smell completely wins me over, and the fact that it makes my skin so silky smooth is just amazing! If any of you spotted from the pictures this tub has 'Self Preserving' written on it, which means Lush have now taken all those nasty ingredients such as parabens out, making it great for those of you who are looking for more natural products.

I know that I've overlooked Lush in the past for their skincare products, but this body lotion has really impressed me and I know I'll be popping back into my local Lush to try out some more things and pick up another tub of 'Sympathy For The Skin' (I've now used all mine up). I would love to know what your thoughts are on this moisturiser and if you have any other faves from Lush let me know!

Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Body Buttercream

For those of you who have been following my blog for sometime will know that I have a huge weakness for moisturisers and body butters. I've said this before and will say it again, moisturising my skin with a luxurious body butter has to be one of my favourite parts of getting ready. I find it such an indulgent treat and nothing beats the feeling of rubbing a heavenly body butter over your skin to give it some much needed hydration and moisture.

When it comes to choosing the right Body Butter, Soap & Glory have always stood out for me as their body butters are amazing and stand out way above the rest - I don't think I've ever tried a bad one! As Soap & Glory have quite the selection of body butters to choose from I usually tend to stick with my fvourites such as Sugar Crush and the Righteous Butter. However I decided to branch out a little and try something different based on recommendations from other beauty bloggers. I thought it was about time I tried their Smoothie Star Body Buttercream and oh my gosh its absolutely incredible and I'd even go as far to say this is the best body butter I have ever used in my life, and coming from me that is quite the statement!

The Smoothie Star Body Buttercream is a thick but lightly whipped moisturiser that contains five intensive oils that will make the driest of skin super silky soft. This moisturiser has a mixture of coconut oil, almond oil, pistachio oil, shea butter and cocoa butter all infused together that will make your skin incredibly soft. This moisturiser is such a dream to apply, although its really rich and thick in texture, it skins into the skin so quickly and leaves your skin feeling instantly hydrated and nourished. If your someone who suffers from dry skin, you will love the benefits from using the Smoothie Star Body Buttercream, it really makes such a difference after one use and you skin feels amazing all day.

Not only is the actual body butter wonderful, but the scent is to die for, it has to be the most delicious smelling body butter I've ever smelt, it actually makes me want to eat it. The sweet vanilla fragrance gives this body butter the smell of cake mix, and although its really sweet smelling, it's not too sickly or overpowering. I find that the pistachio and almond oils used make this body butter smell a little more sophisticated, which makes the sweet smell not as rich. One thing that I always want from a body butter, is for the smell to really transfer onto my skin and I love how this body butter really leaves my skin smelling yummy hours after application - I'm forever getting people tell me I smell really sweet whenever I wear this. With the smell being so sweet, it makes it the perfect body butter for this time of year, I think it may be a little too much in the summer months when its really hot and sticky. However using this after a relaxing bubble bath on a cold winters evening is perfect - I sit on the sofa in my pajamas after using this and am just surrounded by sweet smelling smells - its heavenly.

I cannot fault this body butter in anyway and I can see this becoming a holy grail moisturiser for me, it really is that fabulous. If I've still not convinced you that you need to try the Smoothie Star Body Buttercream, I urge to you take a sneaky smell of it on your next visit to Boots - I promise you that you will want to take it home.

I would love to know if you've tried this body butter from Soap & Glory and if you rate it as much as I do. Be sure to let me know in the comments below.
