Monthly Favourites || August
Usually I will always try to get up a monthly favourites post, but last month was a bit fat fail for me and I found that there was only one or two products that made it to the top of my favourites list. Sometimes I like a product then just tend to stick with it so they become ongoing faves and there is nothing new to post about. However throughout August I rekindled my love with some old favourites and found some new ones too, so if you fancy finding out what's made it to the top of the list, then get comfy and keep on reading.
If you've been up to date on my blog the last few months then you may know that we went a little lip stick crazy here on Miss Sunshine & Sparkle. Lipstick has to be my ultimate favourite beauty item and I had so much fun trying and testing out all the lipsticks from the Makeup Revolution I Heart Makeup Lip Geek range. Whilst testing them all out I completely fell head over heels in love with the most gorgeous everyday pink colour. As you can see from the pictures 'Ken Will Want Me' (I adore the name too) is such a pretty girly pink colour that works perfectly with so many everyday makeup looks. I love the creamy formula, it keeps my lips so feeling soft and hydrated. Also this lipstick is so pigmented which is great, this lippie has definitely become one of my all time favourites, I can see me repurchasing this again and again
MAC Lovelorn
I am such a sucker for a Mac lipstick and you know your hooked when you've gone though two of the same lipstick already. I think its fair to say that Mac's Lovelorn is my favourite lipstick from the brand and I'm now working my way though my third one. This 'Lustre' lipstick is just so pretty and beautiful on and its such a pale neutral pink that it works so well for everyday wearing. I am always applying this lipstick and it's definitely one of my go too ones. Shockingly I've never actually done a full review of my beloved Lovelorn so I plan on getting one posted for you very soon, so keep your eyes pealed for that.
Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner
I used to be a gel liner kind of girl, but this year has seen me change back to liquid liner and recently I've made it my mission to add a few new ones to my collection. For some reason I find that liquid liner is the only kind of formula that wont cause my liner to smear of melt throughout the day, and in the summer that is an essential. The only bug bear I have with liquid liner is that I find the colour can fade as the day goes on and what was a jet black line in the morning, turns into something that is a bit grey and grubby towards the end of the day. However the Revlon Colorstay liner does such an amazing job at not only keeping my liner put, but the colour actually lasts which is amazing. I think I may have finally found my holy grail liquid liner, thank you Revlon! The tip of the brush makes this liner ever so easy to apply and its really precise too which is fabulous, I love it.
Revlon Colorstay Foundation - True Beige
Another all time favourite of mine that has made a comeback this month is the Revlon Colorstay foundation which has to be one of my all time favourites. I can't fault this foundation in anyway and it's definitely the most long lasting foundation that I've ever tried. Usually during the summer months I like to go for a dewy look, however the last month or so I have been so busy and have needed something a bit more heavy duty and with full coverage too. I love how this foundation makes my skin look flawless and it does an amazing job at keeping oily skin at bay, no shine here! Again I don't think I've ever done a full review of this foundation, so I will be sure to pop one up very soon.
Palmer's Cocoa Butter Natural Bronze Body Lotion
I'm sure you all know by now that fake tanning is part of my weekly beauty regime and this month has been all about getting that golden glow with minimum fuss. For the longest time I have loved the Palmer's Cocoa Butter Natural Bronze, it is by far the best gradual tanner out there, but it's been ages since I last picked up a bottle. I've been using this non stop for my tanning over the last month and I had honestly forgotten just how amazing this stuff is. This moisturiser develops into a lovely natural golden tan overnight and smells just like cocoa butter, if you want to read my full review you can find it here.
Aussie Miracle Recharge Luscious Long Lightweight Conditioner.
Talking of products making a big comeback for me this month, this Aussie leave in conditioner has been another holy grail item of mine that I had kind of forgotten about. I bought this for my Boardmasters trip as I knew I would need something trusty to help manage my hair whilst I was away and of course to help get rid of any tangles. I've been using this non stop since then and I had forgotten just how much I love it. I love the way this leave in conditioner feels in my hair, its really lightweight, makes my hair silky smooth and makes it smell amazing. The Luscious Long formula is great for us girls with long locks as really helps to kink out any nasty knots or tangles that you may have.
So that's everything for this months favourites, I would love to know what you've been loving recently and if any or your favourites match mine then be sure to let me know in the comments below.

June Favourites
Good evening everyone, it's the middle of the week which means it's almost time for the weekend and I'm so excited because I actually have the whole weekend off. If you work in retail like me then you'll know that this is rare and doesn't come around very often! If you've been following my YouTube channel (you can subscribe here) then you will have seen that last week I got up up my monthly favourites video - And as promised I'm following up with a blog post just in case you don't have time to watch ten minutes of me rambling on (haha) or want to see any of the products I've been loving in a little bit more detail.
Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzing Powder
This month saw me re kindle my love with the Bourjois chocolate bronzing powder. Now this beautifully scented chocolate powder has always been a favourite of mine, but being a beauty blogger means I love trying out new things. Out of all the bronzing powders I use, the Bourjois chocolate bronzer is always the one that I come back to, especially over the summer because it's just that good. If you want to look like a bronzed goddess in minutes I recommend you giving this ago.
Smashbox Photo Ready Foundation Primer
This primer really is the star of the show this month and I have been blown away by just how amazing this product is. I cannot emphasise enough how amazing this primer is, it really makes my skin look flawless and my makeup stay put all day, every time I use it, it leaves me a little speechless, especially when I've had a busy day at work and come home to find that everything is still in place. Honestly your foundation doesn't budge one bit! How amazing is that? I've got a full review coming up of this product very soon, so keep your eyes pealed for that one.
Benefit They're Real Mascara
I must be the last beauty blogger on the planet to have tried this mascara, and even then it's only the smaller sample size that I've tried, but I have to say this mascara has actually blow me away and I can't quite believe how amazing it is. This mascara gives me the most beautiful lashes. Not only are my lashes looking long and full of volume, but 'They're Real' also gives them a beautiful curve making them look as though I've had eyelash extensions in. I was always a little put off by the price of this mascara, but after trying it I can honestly say its worth every penny! Just WOW.
Bodhi Neroli Luce Revatalsiing Face Oil
In the past if you had suggested that I put an oil onto my face I would have ran a mile (no joke!). Having oily to combination skin means I can't think of anything worse that adding a face oil into my nighttime beauty regime. However I hold my hands up high and admit I was so wrong for thinking this. This face oil from Bodhi is such a luxurious item to use, makes my skin glow and leaves it looking radiant. Yes I still get that terrible t-zone bit that causes me a bit of drama every now and again, but this face oil has only enhanced my skin and I absolutely love using it.
Lush Sympathy For The Skin
I think I've mentioned this miracle body lotion quite a few times on my blog in the last few months, and rightly so, my love for it only gets stronger. Sympathy for this skin is really heavy duty, but absorbs into my skin ever so quickly, leaving it feel so hydrated and nourished. I love using this on my legs, especially as they seam to be making more of an appearance now summer is in full swing. This body butter always gives my pins that nice sexy summer glow. I honestly can't recommend this body lotion enough!
Hawaiian Tropic Lime Coolada After Sun Body Butter
The bright green packaging along of this Hawaiian Tropic After Sun is enough to make it into my favourites, it just screams holiday to me! Every time I use this product it just takes me back to all the recent holidays I've had and for those few minutes whilst I'm applying this and letting this sink into my skin I'm lost to the world stuck in my holiday daydream. It's definitely the smell that takes me back, it just smells incredible! Although this product is used ideally for a long hard days sunbathing, it makes a fabulous body butter and is such a skin time treat. I love it!
So that's everything for my favourites this month. like I mentioned earlier all these products have been featured in my most recent video and it would mean the world to me if you could give it a watch and subscribe to my channel. I would love to know what you've been loving this month and if any of your favourites match mine.

November Favourites
Hi gorgeous girls and a big fat hello to DECEMBER!! I can't believe the magical and most wonderful month of the year is finally here. I absolutely love December and have been counting down the days for it to start all the way back at the beginning of November. Not only does December mean that the countdown to Christmas officially starts, but its also the month of my Birthday which always adds that extra bit of excitement. I cannot wait to get the Christmas decorations up this week and turn my place into a little grotto. I also really need to make a start on Christmas shopping which is another must for this week. Anyway excitement aside I thought seeing as it's the first of December today I would share with you all what I was loving last month...
Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Buttercream and Smoothie Star Body Buttercream
When it comes to body butters, Soap & Glory are always a brand that I turn too. I've always been a religious user of their infamous Righteous Body Butter as its just heavenly. However as Boots where having 3 for 2 offer across all Soap & Glory products I thought I would branch out and give the Sugar Crush and Smoothie Star body butters ago. I've always heard so many amazing things about these two products around the bloggosphere , especially the Sugar Crush range. I have to say it has been pretty much love at first smell with these two products as they are just incredible. Not only do they both smell good enough to eat, they do such a brilliant job and nourishing and hydrating my skin and they are an absolute pleasure to use.
Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte by Kate Moss - Shade 107
When it comes to Winter makeup, a red lip is always a favourite for me. For the longest of time I had been meaning to pick up the blogger favourite, Kate Moss Lipstick from Rimmel in the shade 107. This lipstick is such a gorgeous deep vampy red and is perfect for this time of year. I have to be honest I was a little bit concerned with this lipstick having a matte finish as I much prefer a buttery finish, but this shade just looks so gorgeous on. It's really long lasting and for such a deep red its extremely wearable, I love it and I can see this being my go too lipstick in December too.
L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes
If you've been reading my blog for sometime you will know that the L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes has to be one of my holy grail mascaras, its perfect for adding length to your lashes and most importantly adding lots of volume. I did a whole post dedicated to this mascara a little while ago if you would like to check it out. With this mascara I feel no need to add false lashes at all as it gives a great false lash effect, if your looking to open up your eyes and make your lashes flutter I really recommend that you ladies give this one ago.
No7 Perfectly Bronzed Dual Bronzer
I wont go into too much detail as I did a whole review on the No7 Perfectly Bronzed Dual Bronzer a few weeks ago which you can find here. I think No7 products often get overlooked in the beauty world, but there are some hidden little gems in the No7 range and this bronzer is one of them. I find it's the perfect bronzer for contouring and gives your skin that gorgeous summer glow.
St Moriz Self Tanning Lotion - Dark
Ah, you ladies will know that when it comes to fake tanning, I'm a little addicted. I'm one of these girls who just feels so much better when my skin is a gorgeous shade of bronze. When it comes to tanning products I've tried my fair share but I always find myself going back to the cheap and cheerful St Moriz. I much prefer the lotion formula to the mousse as I find that it's a lot less drying on your skin. I love the colour payout of the St Moriz tan as its a really deep tan colour but looks ever so natural at the same time. I've been using it quite a lot over November and its definitely one of the best self tanners that I've tried.
So that's everything for my monthly favourites, I would love to know what you've been loving this month ladies - Be sure to let me know in the comments below.

October Favourites
WOW guys can you believe it, its that time of the month where everyone's feed is filled with monthly favourite posts! I can't believe just how quick the months seam to be passing, although right now I'm not complaining one bit as the countdown for Christmas is officially now on! I can't wait to get some Christmas related posts up on my blog, expect to see a few little surprises and of course those loved Christmas wishlist posts... All that excitement aside, today I really want to share with you all just what products I've been loving recently.
I wont go into too much detail about just how much I am in love with this lipstick as I dedicated a whole blog post about my love a little while ago, which you can find here. But oh my gosh guys this lipstick is just beautiful and looks so pretty once its on. Everyone needs a good nude and this pink toned one from L'Oreal is just amazing, it gives flawless application and looks great with any outfit your wearing and most makeup looks. I love it.
I took my blog pictures for this post this morning, and and I've just realised now that this foundation made its way onto my monthly favourites post last month. If that's not love for a product then I don't know what is? Honestly I have been so impressed by this foundation and it really does blow any other high street foundation right out of the water! If your wanting flawless looking skin with a matte finish then I highly recommend this foundation. Not only does it make your skin look perfect but it is so long lasting, seriously this stuff does not budge and will stay put the whole day... AMAZING!
I picked up this product a little while ago on a whim whilst Boots were offering 3 for 2 on all their hair care products (oh Boots how I love you for bringing me such wonderful deals). Anyway this product was my freebie and I've been reaching for it a lot since I picked it up so thought it earned a well deserved spot on my favourites post! When it comes to styling my hair, I'm a style me quick, fuss free hair kinda girl. Most mornings I'll never spend more than 10 minutes on my hair. I always think that the best kind of hairstyle for fuss free hair is messy textured waves and although sea salt spay does a fantastic job at creating surfer girl hair, I find that sometimes my hair just needs that little bit more. I don't want to say too much about just how well this product works at giving your hair that boho looks as I'm planning on getting a full review up for you. So for now I'll just say its brilliant and does such a great job at adding volume and plenty of texture to your hair.
HASK ARGAN OIL SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER
Last month I was so lucky enough to be sent this Argan shampoo and Conditioner from Hask Hair and I can honestly say its one of the best hair care products I've had the pleasure of using. As of late my hair has been in tip top condition and I really believe that this shampoo and conditioner have made a massive difference to the healthy condition of my hair. These are such luxury products and straight away I can feel a difference in my hair when using them. I'm planning on getting a full review of these products up very soon so again I wont go into too much detail but they are seriously impressive.
So that's everything for this months favourites, I would love to know what you've been loving last month and if any of your favourites match mine?

February Favourites
Hello beauties. During the month of February I had a load of products I was in love with and thought it would be great to share with you all what they were. Some of the products you will have seen in recent reviews, so I shall link the posts so you can have some more information about those products. This is the first time that I have done a monthly favourites post, I don't know why its taken me so long to do it as I love reading these kind of posts! I'll stop rambling now and just get straight too it!
From Left to Right
Mac Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle | Aussie Luscious Long Leave-In Conditioner | Toni & Guy Casual Sea Salt Spray | Avon Colour Trend Pencil in Brown | No7 Blossoming Lip & Cheek Duo by Poppy King | Fearne Cotton Red Polish
Mac Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle
I picked this up mid February and I think its one of the best makeup purchases that I've made in a long while. Its quite simply the best highlighter I've ever used and it really works wonders on making your skin look radiant and fresh! This is definitely a product for you natural beauties out there. I've done a full review of Soft and Gentle MSF,so if your interested in knowing more and seeing swatches have a look here!
Aussie Luscious Long Leave-In Conditioner
I am in love with the Aussie Luscious Long Leave-In Conditioner. I bought this before Christmas and have used it every time that I've washed my hair. I have very fine hair that's prone to getting greasy very quickly, but I still use this alongside my normal conditioner. It doesn't make my hair feel dirty at all, just very smooth and super soft to the touch. I am planning on doing a full review this leave in conditioner so I wont go into too much detail, but I will say that it is my secret to having amazing hair!
Toni & Guy Casual Sea Salt Spray
If you've been reading my blog a little while then you will know that I recently did a review on the Toni & Guy Casual Sea Salt Spray which you can read here. I've been super busy this month and have not had the time spare to straighten my hair, so I've been going for a natural wave look with my instead. The sea salt spray really helps to define those waves and gives your hair that lovely beach look.
Avon Colour Trend Pencil in Brown
This eyeliner from Avon was kindly given to me by my future mother-in-law as she knew I was on the hunt for a good pencil that I could use to fill in my eyebrows. Its from the Colour Trend Range, which I believe is the makeup range Avon have for teenagers. Therefore its super affordable and it really does do the job, It's not too soft and is a buildable colour that really lasts. Although I use it for my eyebrows, I've tried it as an eyeliner also and it works great.
No7 Blossoming Lip & Cheek Duo by Poppy King
The No7 Blossoming Lip & Cheek Duo by Poppy King has been my go-to blush and lip colour this month. I love it so much that I did want to do a review for you all, but I don't think its in the No7 permanent collection as it was in a Christmas Box Set. But if I see it online I will be sure to let you beauties know. I got this for my mum at Christmas and she gave it back to me this month as she didn't get along with it (thanks mum! I know you read this). If your in the UK then you will know that the weather has been a bit up and down this month, but we have had some lovely days which has defiantly gotten me in the mood for Spring and the Poppy King Duo looks amazing on, and is a great look for Spring. If you would like to see it on you can see a FOTD here.
Fearne Cotton Red Polish
The Fearne Cotton red polish has been my go-to colour this month. I think its the perfect classic red colour and it looks beautiful on. If you would like to see a NOTD and review of this gorgeous polish then you can read about it here.
I hope you enjoyed reading this post lovelies and I would love to hear what you have been loving this month.
