A lot of you beauties will have noticed by now that I am completely hair obsessed! I always think you can use all the makeup in the world, but if your having a bad hair day then nothing is going to make you feel better! However since I started blogging I've been finding out new ways of keeping those bad hair days at bay and the biggest secret that I can share with you lovelies so far has to be Halo Hair!
A little while ago I entered competition by Halo Hair on Twitter and won myself a set of my very own Halo Hair Extensions. WOW. I was over the moon and super excited when Halo announced that I was their lucky winner and I was able to choose between your normal clip-in extensions or the famous 'Halo' extensions.
The Halo has to be the ultimate 'no fuss' hair extension. All the hair is attached as one strip, to a clear thin nylon wire which is in this shape of a halo, this is fully adjustable and is made to fit any head shape.
The adjustable bands around the wire make it very easy for fitting it to the shape of your head and makes the Halo suitable for everyone. You simply pull the wire on either side to shorten to lengthen the Halo. Once you have the Halo sitting perfectly on your head (it should just rest above your ears) you can then start styling your hair!
To style your hair all you need is a pin tail comb to pull sections of your hair up and over the wire to hide the Halo giving you flawless, perfect hair! It really is the easiest type of hair extension you will ever find.
As you can see from the pictures, once in place the Halo blends really well into the hair and creates really lovely and natural looking hair. One thing that I love about Halo Hair has to be the quality of the hair. Halo only use human remy hair, which means:

I have just got these hair extensions and have played around with them all day to get them right I usually use clip in but fancied something different. When sitting they look great however at first they felt loose and uncomfortable and when I phoned customer services for advice there advice was poor and unclear and the MANAGER was rude. Perseverance was critical in getting the hair sitting good but I feel customer service were really poor. THESE EXTENSIONS ARE NOT AS EASY AS THEY SAY TO GET LOOKING GREAT AND FEELING COMFORTABLE. RATE 6/10
ReplyDeleteAww that's a shame , maybe the wire sits differently for everyone seeing as we all have different shaped heads! I don't think the halo is meant to feel tight on the head though and if your used to clip ins you will feel a noticeable difference in the way the extension sits, it will feel looser but Won't budge throughout the day.

DeleteI purchased the extensions. the little elastic band which the wire loops through totally broke. I had to sew the wire the extensions myself. I have only owned them for one month. Also, it's "supposed" to be Remy Human Hair, per the website, but the hair melted on my curling iron (set on low). So I'm a bit disappointed in this product. I do better with clip-ins from the beaut y supply store. They guarantee their products and I can discuss any concerns in person.

Halo are not the cheapest of extensions I'm sure if you took pictures and sent it to them they would try and help x

ReplyDeleteReally helpful post. Just a bit of advice. I am person that has never worn any sort of extensions, clip in etc before and I have a tendancy to fiddle with my hair. I need some extra length that can be curled and dyed for my wedding day. In your personal opinion, which do you think will iritate me less, clip ins or a Halo? Bearing in mind that I am not used to anything in my hair. I don't want to spend my whole wedding day feeling uncomfortable :s

I have to brush it constantly throughout the day or it looks like a rats nest and then I loose a brush full of hair each time. I've only had it a month and I'm very carful as I brush. Part by part and section by section?. Also the wire becomes quite uncomfortable. Any suggestions? I paid $250 a lot for it!

ReplyDeleteOne thing to note. If you had a smooth transaction with halo hair extensions, their service is commendable. Instant reply to emails and such. My experience with halo hair extension wasnt that smooth sailing though. The courier company that did the deliver for me to Singapore got my address wrong and the item got redelivered back to them. I contacted them and they told my my item would be redelivered back to me again once they received it. I couldnt wait any longer so i made a second purchase and waited out till the first transaction for the extensions got refunded back to me. This incident happened during May, and its been almost 2-3 months right now. I tried contacting them by email unfortunately there was no reply. I still have not received my refund back for the first hair extensions i ordered which they said they will do it for me if i place a second order ( since i do not know when it ll come and i did need another extensions asap )
My english is not really good. and this account i had with halo hair extension is a far cry from what i had experienced.
P.S they facebook page has got no negative feedback because they delete whatever problems they encounter with customers on their page and gave an illusion that they are really nice and friendly -.-
Also for the 2nd hair extension order i received, the ends of the hair was really frizzy. and i had to go to a hair salon for them to cut out the split ends. that was around 2 inch long.
Well, this is just my experience i hope other ppl will be aware of this kind of service that they provide.
I honestly did like the initial instant reply i get from them though. i thought it was really nice and thought they could be trusted. never gona purchase from them again :)

ReplyDeleteAbout 3-4years ago they were really good. Good quality hair extensions and around £80 because they were a new company, they were looking to get into the market, and not scam the world which is what they are doing now.
Now fast forward to 2014 and its a completely different scenario! The hair is cheap, the stitching is appalling and the customer service is GOD AWFUL.
I have been going too and fro between beauty products uk (who I bought it from) and Halo in an attempt to get an exchange because the elastic bits have come away twice now.
My emails had been ignored so I thought I would try to ring them! I found myself talking to THE RUDEST MANAGER in the world, John Russo.
I explained my problem and he basically was rude, sarcastic, and physically laughed at me when I said I was considering taking matters further to a small claims court. He also threatened to hang up on me saying I was being rude and threatening. At this point I hadn't even raised my voice.
He offered for me to send it back to him so he could look at it personally, but having spent £15 sending it 2 other times, I was not inclined to send it back unless I was being offered a full exchange. Which he had already specified I would not be getting!
I absolutely love the product but have considered making my own using better hair and better stitching, just based on the customer service I have received. I would not recommend buying one of these again due the fact, at one stage or another, it WILL break. you WILL be blamed, and you will not get an exchange or refund or any help whatsoever by the managing director that needs a lesson in customer service and general manners
