I remember when it was my last year of school and everyone in my class was going pretty much crazy for ghd's straighteners. I think it was around this time when they came on the scene and it wasn't long after that before I had my very own pair. For years ghd has been the only hair straighteners that I've used and although I've not tried other brands I'm willing to go as far as saying they're the best. As a lover of curly hair, I was always one of these girls that would try and curl my hair using my flat iron, although be it wasn't very good at it. As soon as curling wands become affordable and came in all shapes and sizes, I kind of ditched my ghd's for curls and used these instead as I found them a lot easier to use.

With so many people opting for curly hair over straight it wasn't long before ghd brought out their own range of curling tools and before Christmas last year I was lucky enough to get my hands on a pair and I've been reaching for them regularly ever since. I apologise now because this blog post is way overdue, but the ghd curve has literally changed the way that I curl my hair, so I thought it was about time I got this blog post up for you all.

One thing that I love about ghd in general is its super sleek packaging. I'm lucky enough to have the Curve that comes in the limited edition rose gold role bag (swoon). The actual Curve itself is just so sleek and has that classic ghd look to it. ghd offer four different types of curling tools ranging from wands to tongs. The one that I've been using is the soft curl tong, which is perfect if your like me and love your curls big, bouncy and soft looking.

I must admit the tong can be a little tricky to use at first, especially if your used to using a wand. However with practice, curling my hair has never been easier. I always thought to create big bouncy curls like the ones you achieve with this Curve can only be done with the use of rollers. Which I've tried in the past and found it to be so much faff! It really doesn't take too long curl my hair and create perfect curls.

Whats also great about the ghd curve is that my curls are actually long lasting and although they have dropped the next day, with a bit of sea salt and texturing spray I can create my favourite wavy beach hair in a matter of seconds. The only gripe I have with this product is that it doesn't come with a glove for your curling hand and trust me when I say these get really hot. There have been too many occasions where I've accidentally caught the end of my finger tips, especially in the beginning where I was on that practice makes perfect stage.

Apart from the glove issue I cannot fault the ghd curve at all, its by far the easiest and my favourite way to curl my hair. I'm really interested in trying the classic curve wand, I think this might be my next hair purchase. I just want to be able to create different types of curls... I told you I was obsessed. If you've reviewed this then please let me know in the comments below.

What are your thoughts of the ghd curve? Do you have one of your wish list?

My favourite Nude Lipsticks

Mac, Mac Lipstick, MAC Velvet Teddy, Mac Honeylove, Makeup Revolution Lip Lava, Smashbox Lip Gloss Jewel, MeMeMe Persian Pink Lipstick, Nude Lipsticks, Makeup Revolution Lip Hug, Nude Lipstick Swatches

If you asked me a year ago what my favourite shade of lipstick was, without a doubt I would say pinks; Everything from baby pinks to bright bolds, I loved them all. Now whilst I still have a bit of an obsession for anything pink, this year for me so far has been all about the nudes. I find day to day I reach for a nude lipstick over a pink. As my new obsession for colour has changed so has my lipstick collection and I find myself picking up new nude lipsticks all the time. So today I thought I would share with you all my top favourites and why I love them so much.

Mac Velvet Teddy

I'm sure this nude has made its way into everyones lipstick collection and its been the nude thats been on everyones lips. Of course I'm talking about Mac's Velvet Teddy. I picked this lipstick up at the beginning of the year after months of trying to hunt it down. It wasn't long before this beauty became a favourite. It's been my most used this lipstick this year and I just love the way that it looks on. I would describe Velvet Teddy as a dark toned nude and I love it because it really helps create the illusion that you have much fuller lips, especially when used with a great lip liner. I also love its matte finish; For me its what I usually go for in a lipstick.

MeMeMe 04 Persian Pink

This nude lipstick from MeMeMe is one I got ages ago, before my love for nude lipsticks even started, but recently I've dug it out from the bottom of my collection and it's quickly become a favourite. Why? Probably because it's very similar to Velvet Teddy. This is another dark toned nude, which again really enhances the fullness of my lips. Unlike Velvet Teddy, Persian Pink has a lovely statin finish formula that gives my lips a really nice softness to them. I love how this lipstick feels really hydrating but is long lasting at the same time. It's a great and cheaper alternative to Velvet Teddy.

Makeup Revolution Love Can Set You Free

Out of all the nudes in this post today, I would say that this one from Makeup Revolution leans more towards the pink side. I think sometimes with nude lipsticks it can sometimes be too easy to choose one which make can my lips washed out, which is probably why I choose fairly dark shades or in this case pink. Out of all the lipsticks in this post, this one from Makeup Revolution is the one that mostly feels like a balm that is so buttery, its just lovely to use. I love wearing this on those days where I'm wearing minimal makeup.

Mac Honeylove

Mac's Honeylove is another lipstick which has become such a staple in my makeup bag over the last couple of months. I've worn it non stop during summer. Out of all the nudes in this post, I would say that this one is the most natural looking and gives that 'your lips but better' look. Again its another nude that has pink undertones to it which I love as it doesn't give you manikin lips. With Honeylove having a matte finish, its just perfect for me - Long lasting and highly pigmented. I would definitely recommend this lipstick to anyone.

Makeup Revolution Lip Lava Forgiven

There is one thing I love when it comes to make up and that is a good dupe. One makeup dupe that got me really excited this year is the Makeup Revolution Lip Lavas, which replicate the Too Faced Melted Lipsticks. I've been particularly loving the shade 'Forgiven' as just looks amazing on. The formula of these Lip Lava's are so pigmented and have such a beautiful glossy finish. The gloss does fade after a few hours of wear, but still the shade of this nude is just perfect. It is a little bit on the dark side but I find that it works so well with my skin tone. When I'm looking for something a bit more dramatic I'll always reach for this,

Smashbox Be Legendary Lip Gloss Jewel

Most of you will know by now that I'm not really the biggest lip gloss fan. I love the look of a glossy lip but just don't like the feel of really glossy lip products on my lips as much. Having said this I do love the formulas of the Smashbox Lip Glosses as I find they provide a nice shine and are not too sticky; They always give my lips that nice juicy pout. This one in the shade Jewel is actually quite a pigmented for a lip gloss and I find it really does give my lips a nice wash colour, which is perfect for those minimal makeup days. I also love this lip gloss when I'm looking to up the amp a little bit and layer it on top of some of the other lipsticks shown in this post.

As you can see I just love nude lipsticks, trust me when I say it was hard to narrow it down to this lot. There were quite a few that didn't make the cut. If you would like to see more nudes in my collection though, let me know as I'll be more than happy to showcase them off. I would love to know what your favourite shade of nude is? Let me know in the comments below.

New Little Wedge Boots From Primark.

Primary, Primark Haul, Primark Boots, Brown Boots, Wedges, Autumn Boots, Primark wedge boots,

I really wish that this post was going to be a Primark haul for you guys, mainly because I've not had a good splurge in there for the longest of time. I keep having a cheeky little walk around on my lunch breaks but its just not the same. I just want to go all out, especially as they have so many of their autumn/winter stuff coming out. I always think when shopping at Primark, you have to get what you want right there and then, wait around and you can guarantee the next time you venture in they don't have your size or its gone altogether. With this wisdom behind me I just had to pick up these little wedge boots on my last little look during my lunch break.

Primary, Primark Haul, Primark Boots, Brown Boots, Wedges, Autumn Boots, Primark wedge boots,

One thing that gets me really excited about the autumn is the return of boots, I just love them. Paired with skinny jeans, thick winter tights or cute little dresses in the evening, boots go with everything. One thing for sure a girl can never have too many pairs of boots. So when I saw these brown little wedge ones and that there was only one size 4 left and just knew it was fate. They had to be mine. I just think these will be perfect for everyday, running around to the shops and for causal wear. I really love brown boots, probably because I have a lot of brown bags and thats just the perfect combo.

Anyway I thought I would share with you all my new find, I know its not a proper Primark haul, but I love seeing what people pick up in Primark, its just the best! I would love to know what you've been picking up in Primark recently? Are you just as excited as me to be wearing boots again?

Skin Secrets | What I Use To Keep My Skin Spot Free

It's pretty embarrassing when you're 27 and still have the odd trouble with spots. During those younger years I was always fighting a loosing battle with my spots and I thought it would be something that I would grow out of. How wrong I was. Don't get me wrong my skin is nothing like it was in my teens, but it's still frustrating when you get a nasty spot. Even just one can feel like it's taking over your entire face which can make me feel a little down. We've all been there and I know you know exactly what I mean. Which is why I want to share with you all my little secret weapon which has been keeping my skin spot free for the last few months.

For the longest of time my mum has been getting on at me to stop using my expensive and luxurious cleansers and switch to Johnson's Baby Soap with Honey and for the longest of time I was adamant that it wouldn't really be beneficial for my skin. When I was at my mums a little while ago I was suffering with a terrible spot day and she told me to wash my face with the Jonson's soap right away and since then I've not really used anything else.

I'm not sure how this baby soap works its wonders, but it seems to agree with my skin and any spots that I do have quickly fade away after using this. It's so good I've even nicknamed it my magic soap. I still use my micellar waters to get rid of the majority of my makeup before using this, but I find this soap even gets helps to get rid of those panda eyes or anything that I might have missed.

Other than keeping my skin lovely fresh and clear, I find this soap so gentle to use, probably because it's been designed for babies. One thing that always put me off with bars of soap is that super squeaky feeling on your skin afterwards, it always makes my skin feel incredibly dry. But I honestly don't get that too much with this soap. My skin definitely needs a good moisturise afterwards, but it certainly doesn't make my skin feel uncomfortable. It's almost like the soap dries out my spots there and then which is such a satisfying feeling.

Johnson's Baby Soap With Honey, Spots, Clear Skin, Cleanser, Baby Soap, Johnson's Baby Soap For Spots, Skin, Skin Secrets, Spot Fre

I know this might not be a magic soap for everyone, but if your skin is suffering its well worth picking one up and giving it ago. What's even better is that you can pick up a pack of four for only a pound, so trying it won't break the bank and if it does work then it's the cheapest cleanser you'll ever buy. I've also been using one of my spare bars to clean my makeup brushes and the results are really good, this really is my magic soap.

Let me know if you're a fan of a baby products or if you've found any more good uses for the Johnson's baby soap? I hope this helps.

Mac Hipness Blush - The Prettiest Blush I've Ever Owned!

I think it goes without saying that every beauty girl has a bit of a thing for Mac, it was the first high end makeup brand that I fell in love with and my collection has gradually become bigger over the years, even more so since blogging. When I was on holiday (which seems like a life time ago now) I had a little splurge in the Duty Free as you do and picked up one of Mac's limited edition blushers from their Wash and Dry collection. Now with this being a limited edition product I was in two minds  whether or not to blog about as I got it a while ago and it's not something you'll be able to get hold of easily. However this is the second time Mac have released this blush and as I love it so much I thought it would be well worth the blog post.

Usually I'm not one to get lost in the hype of the limited edition Mac releases, but when I saw the collection sat there looking so pretty in the Duty Free, it quickly caught my attention. The Wash & Dry collection just screams holiday vibes to me with it's shining turquoise and sunset metallic outer casings. It's just so stunning. I'm not going to lie, I spent a little while at the Mac counter swatching pretty much everything in the collection and taking my time deciding what it was I wanted to take away with me on holiday.

Mac, Mac Blush, Mac Hipness, Mac Wash And Dry Collection, Hipness Blush, Mac Limited Edition, Blusher, Makeup, Summer Makeup

I had to limit myself on picking a few things up as there were other bits that I was spending my money on in the Duty Free, so opted for just one blush in the shade Hipness. This decision turned out to be one of the best makeup decisions that I have ever made as this little blush has quickly become a favourite. Being very much a blush girl, I'm also quick to say that this is the best blush that I've ever used and the colour is just perfect for summer and works beautifully with my skin tone. I know this a pretty big statement to make, but it's so true - I love everything about this blush, so I'm absolutely gutted that it's a limited edition product.

Hipness is has to be the perfect summer blush, I would describe it as a really warm toned coral shade that leans towards the pink side. You only need to use the smallest amount of this blush to give your cheeks a little flush of warmth to your complexion. You know when you've been out in the sun and you have a really healthy sun kissed glow to your skin, this blush gives you that really healthy look. Mac have given Hipness one of its frost finish formulas, but I don't find this blush to be shimmery at all. I think it just gives your skin more of a glow than a sparkle which is even better.

Mac, Mac Blush, Mac Hipness, Mac Wash And Dry Collection, Hipness Blush, Mac Limited Edition, Blusher, Makeup, Summer Makeup

I honestly don't know what I'm going to do when this blush runs out, other than hunt around for the perfect dupe. It would be a dream if Mac could add this to its permanent line and I'm keeping my fingers crossed. If you use any blushers which are similar to this, please let me know in the comments below as I'm dreading the day where I have to limit my uses on this blush.
