Get the Perfect Summer Skin with GWA Liquid Glow Illuminators

Summer is just around the corner and I don't know if it's just me, but there seems to be a lot of hype and love right now for products that make your skin glow. I know my Instagram feed is full of beautiful products which will illuminate the skin and so many people are raving about the new Sol de Janeiro Ipanema Sunset Glow Oil which looks stunning, but with a price tag of £35.00 it's not at the very top of my wish list of things I need to buy. It got me thinking about cheaper alternatives and straight away my two favourite Liquid Glow Illuminators from Girls With Attitude came to mind. I've had the two illuminators in my makeup stash for a little while now, but have only really used them as highlighters - But it got me thinking about other ways that I can use them to achieve a really similar look to the more pricey Sunset Glow Oil and I thought I'd share with you my top tips on how I use these two GWA Illuminators to get the most gorgeous summer skin.

Which Shade to Choose?

Girls With Attitude offer two shades in their Liquid Glow Illuminators. The lightest one 'Champagne Opal' is a really beautiful champagne gold shade and once blended out you can see these stunning pearlescent shimmers running though it which catch the light perfectly; It will give the dullest of skin look radiant. Then you have the slightly darker shade 'Rose Glow' which is a pretty pink rose gold shade, with flecks of champagne gold shimmer - This would work better for those of you who have medium to dark skin or who are like me and love a bit of fake tan. Both shades are so gorgeous and even though I use these regularly, I still really struggle to pick a favourite. My best advice to you, if you can't decide on a shade is to get both - They are really affordable at £9.00 each and I promise you it's a decision you won't regret.

Get Your Glow On - Face Highlight

As I mentioned, as a stand alone highlighter these two illuminators work amazingly; They are both extremely pigmented due to the formula being a really concentrated liquid and a little will go a long way. I usually add a few tiny drops to my cheek bones and blend it out with a beauty blender or stippling brush for the most gorgeous highlight. It also looks fab dotted on the cupids bow or used as an inner corner highlight. Another great way to wear these is to mix a few drops into your foundation for a really lovely all over glow. I've done this a few times on those no makeup, makeup days and it gives my skin a really healthy glowing look. As pigmented as these drops are, they are really easy to blend out as the formula is so smooth and although its packed with all this shimmer, the product does not feel grainy at all, which is a huge plus.

Get The Perfect Summer Body Glow

As we've been blessed with some early summer sunshine in the UK over the past few weeks, I've been using my Liquid Illuminators to get that perfect summer body glow and I love the look so much that I don't feel the need to purchase the Sol de Janeiro Oil's (well not just yet anyway). On those days where my arms or legs are out on display, I will mix a few drops of the illuminators into my favourite moisturiser and just like magic, I have the perfect summer glow. Whenever I do this my skin looks so radiant and I can see the shimmers on my skin wherever the light hits it. My favourite Illuminator to use for this is the 'Rose Glow' just because I fake tan a lot and I think this one compliments my tan a lot more. If I'm feeling a little extra, I also apply the highlight as it is along my collar bone, which just finishes off my golden sun kissed look. I'm not one to get my legs out often, but another fab way to achieve a really effortless is to apply the highjliter directly down the centre of your legs, not only will it help to elongate your pins, but just compliment that summer tan you've been working on.
