So I've been back home from holiday for a week now and with weather like today I have to say I'm still suffering from a serious case of holiday blues. England just doesn't quite have the blue skies, palm tress and 35 Degree heat that I was loving whilst I was away. Like with any big trip away I saw it as a perfect excuse to go shopping and I confess I spent way too much clicking away online shopping. With so many new outfits I thought I would take some OOTD pictures on holiday to showcase some of my new bits.

My favourite thing about holiday fashion has to be the mixi dress, for me its the ultimate summer essential. Not only is it super easy to wear, looks great on but I also find them to be really flattering . When I was browsing Misguided before I went away I instantly fell in love with this printed palm tree one as it just screams holiday. This palm print maxi combines some of my favourite colours, pink, lilac and turquoise and I just think it looks so holiday-esq, I love it!

I wore this dress out for dinner one evening, the restaurant had gorgeous sea views and I thought it was the perfect location for a quick OOTD. I'm still loving this dress even now I'm back home and have already worn it to showcase my holiday tan. Whats even better is that this dress is now in the sale for only £10.00, such a bargain!

I would love to know what your favourite thing to wear on holiday is, and if your still yet to jet set away this year, let me know where you're going? I'm incredibly jealous :)

The Best Of The Bunch || May Favourites

May Favourites, Pantene Pro-V Dry Oil, Makeup Revolution, Benefit They're Real Push Up Liner, Make Believe Tan, Hayfever Spray

Hi guys, first of all I'd like to insert a big apology 'right here'. I had every intention of doing some blogging whilst away on holiday, but the second week I was just completely overwhelmed with sunshine, cocktails and beach life, you know how it is! With that being said I feel like I have loads to catch up post wise as there are just so many things I need to blog about. I thought I would start my catch up posts with my monthly favourites. I know I'm way late on this one and it will be only a week or so till the next favourites post goes up, but oh well right?

Last month I found myself using a lot of new products that quickly became love at first use and I've been using them non stop. I'll start things off with haircare. For the longest time I've been Moroccan Oil's number one fan, I've used it non stop and it's by far my favourite hair oil on the market. So you can only imagine my disappointment when I poured every last drop out of the last bottle I had in my stash. Now whilst I can't wait to repurchase another bottle, my holiday savings and spendings meant I couldn't afford to splurge so I've been using a much cheaper alternative. Say hello to the Pantene Pro-V Dry Argan Oil. I picked this up when doing my weekly food shopping as it was on offer and whilst it's not as good the Moroccan Oil it's a pretty good alternative and it's helped to keep my hair soft, sleek and manageable. I find this oil to quite thin which so I do tend to use a little more so it can work it's magic, but I love the way it transforms my hair after using it and I would repurchase it again.

Make Believe Spa & Polish Exfoliator, Make Believe Instant tan Bronzer

A few of my recent posts have featured some products from Make Believe, a tanning brand which I absolutely love. Before I went on holiday I was exfoliating my skin like mad and the Make Believe Spa & Polish Exfoliator was my go too scrub. I just love how this gentle scrub enriched with Argan Oil makes my skin feel, it feels so luxurious on my skin and does a great job at getting rid of any fake tan and of course prepping your skin for a suntan. I've also been loving the Make Believe Instant Tan Bronzer. A lot of you know by now that I'm a little tan obsessed, but I didn't want to do a full fake tan before going on holiday so reached for a daily wash off one instead. This instant tanner from Make Believe gave me such a beautiful glow in an instant and was so easy to apply in the mornings. What I really love about it is that it's non streaky formula applies so easily and it looks very natural, which is a must for me with any fake tanner.

Makeup Revolution Ken Will Want Me Lipstick, Benefit They're Real Push Up Liner

When it came to makeup choices last month, some all time favourites definitely saw a lot of love. I've talked about Makeup Revolutions Lip Geek Lipstick in Ken Will Want Me so many times on my blog, and here I am sat here talking about it again. I think it's possibly my favourite lipstick of all time. Last summer it saw a lot of love and now summer is here again it's all I'm wearing. Ken Will Want Me is such a gorgeous everyday pink colour that really brightens up my look, it's not too bold but not too subtle at the same time, I just love it.

I've also been wearing Benefits They're Real Push Up Liner non stop too. I'm a big fan of this eyeliner for all the obvious reasons; I'm sure you've read all the rave reviews (you can find mine here). But the main reason why this liner has really stood out to me this month is because it's a hayfever makeup life saviour. This time of year I suffer terribly with hayfever and my eyes are constantly watering which means my makeup is forever running down my face. With all that crying the Benefit eyeliner always seems to stay put and doesn't irritate my eyes at all. I don't know how but it also stays put in my waterline which is just amazing and for these reasons I love this liner even more.

Beconase Hayfever Srpay - review

Lastly is a product that I thought I'd throw in for you fellow hayfever sufferers. Like I mentioned I suffer so badly and I'm constantly trying and testing different sprays and tablets to help ease my symptoms. One spray that I've been loving in particular is the Beconase Hayfever Relief as it really helps my eyes from watering and makes me feel less congested. It sounds and is really gross having to spray something up your nose, but I find that it works pretty much instantly. Although it doesn't totally clear my symptoms, it's such a relief spraying it prevents my symptoms from getting worse.

So there we have it, my very late mostly favourites post. I would love to know what you've been loving recently and if you have any recommendations for hayfever relief please share in the comments below.

Adding A Little Touch Of Coral This Summer

I think I say this every time the seasons change, but I just love changing up my makeup and picking lipsticks, blushers and colours that really reflect my mood and the weather outside. Summer has officially started now we're in June and for me I always gravitate towards Corals when it comes to some of my makeup choices. I think it's the only time of year where coral shades look best, they look great with a tan and for me its the ultimate summer colour. Today I thought I'd share with you all some of my favourite coral picks to show you how I'm working my favourite colour this season.

Going for a coral nail polish is by far the easiest way to wear coral this summer, I think it suits everyone and whenever I paint my nails in this shade I instantly feel more summery. My favourites would have to be the Barry M Gelly High Shine polish in Papaya and Models Own in Coral Reef. When it comes to nail polish Barry M and Models Own are my favourites, I love the formulas and find the polishes so easy to apply. Papaya and Coral Reef are no exception to this as they apply great. I love how Papaya is almost a pastel version of coral whilst Coral Reef leans more on the red side with its bight and vibrant tones. Both of these shades look great with a tan and are two of my go too nail polishes this time of year.

Moving on to lipstick, my top coral shades that I'm reaching for are Makeup Revolutions Lip Lava in the shade Unleash and Revlon's Colour Bust Matte Balm in Audacious. Both of these lipsticks are very similar in terms of their shade but the finishes are so opposite and I love having the choice to pick between the two. If you love super high glossy finishes then the Lip Lava is the lipstick to go for. What I love about 'Unleash' is that it's so bold, super pigmented and really makes your lips the vocal point of your makeup look. Even though this lipstick is so glossy, its incredibly long lasting and once the gloss part starts to wear off you're left with beautifully stained lips. The Revlon Colour Bust is completely the opposite and has a very matte finish. I like to make sure my lips are well prepped before using this as it can cling on to any dry patches, which is not a good look. If you've read my blog for some time you know that I prefer matte finishes when it comes to lipstick, so I probably reach for the Colour Bust more, but both of these shades are just gorgeous and if you're wanting to fully embrace coral this season then these are the two you need in your collection.

No coral look would be complete without adding the perfect coral blush! One palette that I constantly reach for during the summer months has to be Sleek's Blush By 3 Lace. This palette has the perfect trio of coral blushes and when it comes to blusher, Sleek are some of my faves. I spoke about the Lace palette quite a bit on my blog (review here). In the palette you have three gorgeous but completely unique coral shades of blush. Crochet (left) is a very orange toned coral, Guipure (middle) is your shimmery coral shade and Chantilly is more of your pink toned coral. All three of these shades look gorgeous on and they are the perfect mix of corals. I think Guipure has to be my favourite and is a great dupe for Nar's Orgasm.

Last but by no means least is the MeMeMe Coral Blossom Cheek and Lip tint, it's a great dupe for the Benefit Cha Cha tint but for a fraction of the price. I love wearing this shimmery coral toned tint in the summer, especially when I'm having one of those minimal makeup days. I think this tint just adds such a gorgeous radiant glow to your skin and looks really natural once applied. I'm not too keen on wearing this on my lips but used as blush or highlight on your cheeks it looks so pretty on. It's the perfect makeup item to give you a sun kissed look with minimal effort, I love it.

So there we have it, a little touch of coral makeup that I'll be using over the summer. I would love to know what makeup you reach for over the summer months and if you're a fan of wearing coral this season please let me know what your favourite bits are?

Prepping Your Skin For Holiday With Make Believe Spa & Polish

Prepping Your Skin For Holiday With Make Believe Spa & Polish, Tanning, Holiday Tan, Summer Body, Make Believe Spa & Polish Exfoliator
Prepping Your Skin For Holiday With Make Believe Spa & Polish, Tanning, Holiday Tan, Summer Body, Make Believe Spa & Polish Exfoliator

If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram then you may have seen me posting my holiday pictures. I've not been away properly now for over two years, so having two weeks of pure relaxation, sunbathing and chilling out is pure bliss. As I'm away I thought it would be exciting (for you and me) to get some holiday themed posts up as I don't get the chance to do so very often. I know a lot of you are also going away this year, so today I thought it would be appropriate to share with you how I prepare my skin to get holiday ready.

I'm sure I'm not alone when the immediate thing I think about when going abroad is getting my tan on! Let's face it we wall want to come back home and make everyone at home jealous with our golden tan, I know it shouldn't but it gives me great satisfaction having a gorgeous colour that won't rub off. However sunbathing takes some serious dedication and with all the hard work we put in to catching those rays it's important that we look after our tans so that we get the most out of it whilst on holiday and for when we come back.

My top tip would have to be exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate! I know most of you will have this step included in your weekly skincare routine anyway, but before I go away anywhere hot I make sure that it's a priority. Like I said I want my sun tan to last as long as possible and I find that the more dead skin cells (gross) that I remove before hand the longer my tan is going to last.

Prepping Your Skin For Holiday With Make Believe Spa & Polish, Tanning, Holiday Tan, Summer Body, Make Believe Spa & Polish Exfoliator

There as so many amazing exfoliates out their but right now I'm currently loving the Make Believe Spa & Polish Exfoliator. For those of you who haven't heard of Make Believe they are a brand that specialise in fake tan, which I highly recommend by the way (see my post on some of their beauty products here). Sometimes with certain exfoliators I can find them to be a bit harsh on my sensitive skin, but I just love the way the Make Believe feels on my skin. It does a great job at buffing away any old skin but is really gentle at the same time. I think this is because the exfoliating beads are quite small and they're not as rough as what you find in other exfoliators. Also this one contains Argan Oil which really does a great job at nourishing my skin.

Another reason why this Spa & Polish is one is my current favourite has to be its scent - It smells so lovely and refreshing and has a little bit of a holiday sort of smell to it, it's gorgeous. It's so one of the only exfoliators I've used that actually leaves my skin soft and feeling hydrated. Usually when exfoliating I can't wait to get my favourite body butters out as I feel my skin needs a hydration boost, but this one actually leaves my skin feeling so soft and its gorgeous scent lingers around on my body for a few hours too. It's honestly one of the best that I've tried.

Prepping Your Skin For Holiday With Make Believe Spa & Polish, Tanning, Holiday Tan, Summer Body, Make Believe Spa & Polish Exfoliator

Back on topic, before I leave on holiday around two weeks before hand I start exfoliating my body a few times a week instead of the one and stay clear from any products that have any tan in them. I want base of my skin to be perfectly prepped before I leave and I always think remaining fake tan on your skin can cause your real tan to go patchy.

Along side with exfoliating I also love to use a light moisturiser all over my body and I do this religiously every evening. I just think having a great base makes for a perfect tan. And that's that, my two steps to ensure that I get the most of my holiday tan, I know it's pretty simple but I thought I'd share in case any of you are heading away this summer. It's basically my usual routine but a little more intense.

I would love to know what your top tips are for holiday skin, please share with me your secrets on how to prolong your tan when you come home?

Makeup Revolution Affirmation Palette || Every Day Eyes

Makeup Revolution Affirmation Palette - Eyeshadow, Makeup, Everyday Palette
Makeup Revolution Affirmation Palette - Eyeshadow, Makeup, Everyday Palette

I don't know about you but I am just loving the new launches from Makeup Revolution at the moment, it seems that week after week they have something new and exciting to offer us makeup obsessors and their new launch is no exception. As you know I love an eyeshadow palette and Makeup Revolution have now brought us the new Affirmation palette which contains 32 highly pigmented eyeshadows. Incase the pictures haven't already won you over, let me tell you how amazing this palette really is and why you need to add it to your makeup collection.

The first thing that appeals to me about this palette has to be the colours on offer. As some of you may know by now that when it comes to eyeshadow I'm a neutrals girl at heart and its these soft beiges, champagne pinks and mattifying browns that I tend to use for my everyday makeup and every single shade in this palette could be used to create that perfect everyday makeup look.

I really love how this palette has the perfect mix of different finishes so the different looks that you could create are endless. I'm someone who tends to gravitate towards matte finishes and the Affirmation palette has so many to choose from, including some perfect light beiges for using as a highlight to some lovely rich dark browns which I love using in my crease.

Makeup Revolution Affirmation Palette - Eyeshadow, Makeup, Everyday Palette

I just love how many wearable shades this palette has to offer, it really does have everything I need, especially as its now summer,  I love wearing a bronzed smokey eye and the palette has so many copper and bronze shades to choose from. I also love how the Affirmation offers so much versatility as theres plenty of cool toned silvers and greys in there too. Think of a combination of all three naked palettes combined into one... Talk about my dream palette!

Like with all the other Makeup Revolution palettes that I've tried the pigmentation of these shadows are fab, although some of the lighter shades do take a little longer to build up to get the exact shade that you see in the palette. The matte shades are really soft, pigmented and blend beautifully, whilst the metallic shadows really add some dimension to your overall makeup look.

I just love this palette and everything about it. I was feeling a little stuck about what  eyeshadows to take away with me on holiday next week, but taking this is definitely a no brainer as it has everything that I need. Not only does that palette have 32 shades, but the packaging is sleek, not bulky and contains a huge mirror which is just what I need for travelling.

Overall I love this palette, in the short space of time its become a new favourite. If you would like to add the Affirmation palette to your collection you can pick it up from the Makeup Revolution website for only £8.00, such a bargain!

Make Believe Beauty || How I Get The Perfect Summer Glow

Make Believe Beauty, Make Believe Makeup, Bronzer, Highlight, Lipgloss, Summer Glow, Tanning
Make Believe Beauty, Make Believe Makeup, Bronzer, Highlight, Lipgloss, Summer Glow, Tanning

Summer has to be my favourite time of the year, especially when it comes to makeup. I love that minimal sun kissed makeup look and I love finding new products that will help me achieve this look. I honestly have such an obsession when it comes to buying bronzers, I love trying out new ones, so I'm pretty excited to be talking about a new favourite in todays post. Today I thought I'd share with you some gorgeous new makeup that I've been trying out from Make Believe that really help achieve a natural summer glow.

For those of you who haven't heard of Make Believe before, they are a tanning brand and I was introduced to some of their products from a blogging event last year. From that moment I became a huge fan of their Instant Wash Off Tan and I've always had a bottle or two in my tanning stash. Recently I attended the CiCiPr Event down in London and some beautifully bonzed girls from Make Believe where there showcasing off some more products from the brand. I was lucky enough to receive a goody bag and was so excited to see that Make Believe had added some makeup bits to their range, perfect to help me get my summer glow.

First up we have the Enhance Sunbeam Bronzer and Blush. Out of all the makeup products from Make Believe this has to be my favourite (like I said, I'm obsessed with bronzer!). I just think this bronzer is so beautifully packaged for a start and I love how its put together in a box that closes with a magnetic strip. Inside you have a mirror and a mini kabuki brush as well as the actual bronzer. - Talk about helping a girl out! I love how Make Believe have added the brush in with the bronzer, its such a nice touch. The bristles on this brush as so soft and I have loved using this to apply my bronzer, the bristles are quite dense so pick up just the right amount of product and it blends bronzer beautifully.

As for the actual bronzer, I love it! This bronzer has a lovely matte finish and I love that it's not too dark or muddy looking. I would say I have a medium skin tone and this bronzer works great used all over my face, but if I want to build it up I can use it as a contour also. Usually I do go for bronzers that are a little darker, but whats so great about this one is that it's really natural looking, so it will suit so many skin tones. As a lover of bronzer, this one from Make Believe gets top marks from me.

Now, no bronzed look or contour would be complete without a highlight. If you really want to look sun kissed then a good highlighter will be your best friend. I really love how Make Believe have thought of everything to achieve the perfect summer look. Again just like the bronzer I love the packaging of this highlighter, it comes packaged in clear plastic which feels a little like the acrylic clear makeup storage units I use. This Enhance Luminize Skin Highlighter comes in a cream form but as you begin to blend it in it feels more like a powder which I love. It's one of those highlights that really work into your skin rather than just sit on top which I prefer as its much more natural looking. Usually I find cream products really hard to blend in but not this one, its perfect.

For me the actual colour of this highlight is perfect, it's named celestial pink, which I think describes the shade perfectly. This highlight does have light pink shimmers to it and is such a beautiful pinky champagne colour. Again very natural looking and it really does a great job at brightening up my makeup look.

Make Believe Beauty, Make Believe Makeup, Bronzer, Highlight, Lipgloss, Summer Glow, Tanning

The last item in the Make Believe beauty line is the Enhance Shimmer Lip Gloss. I have to say out of all the products here, this is probably the one I'm least excited about it as I'm not really a lip gloss kind of girl. However this one is actually very pretty and smells deliciously fruity. I think when it comes to creating natural summer makeup a nice neutral glossy lip works perfectly and if you don't want to wear anything too dramatic on your lips then this one from Make Believe would work great. I actually find the lip gloss to be quite thick in texture which doesn't really appeal to me as it does feel a little heavy, but I do love how it's not too shiny. It actually makes my lips look really plump and juicy (is that a thing?). It's not too sticky either which again is something I look for in a lip gloss.

Make Believe Beauty, Make Believe Makeup, Bronzer, Highlight, Lipgloss, Summer Glow, Tanning

Overall I love this little collection on makeup bits from Make Believe. As you all know by now I'm a summer girl at heart and this kind of makeup completely appeals to me. Out of all the products the bronzer is by far my favourite, I'm using it daily. Be sure to head over to the Make Believe website (here) to have a look at all their products including their amazing tanners.

I would love to know what summer makeup has made its way in to your makeup bag? Let me know in the comments below.
