Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray Review | My New Favourite Makeup Item

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray

You guys know how much I love makeup, and I know you do too because thats why you're here, but my makeup collection has always lacked a makeup setting spray. I've seen these sprays that claim to keep your makeup perfectly in place talked about on some of my fave blogs for a few years and I've always been a little bit in doubt about as to whether or not they worked or if they were worth the money. Urban Decay have a few setting sprays in their range and I think they are by far the most hyped and talked about, but with a fairly high price tag for just a spray I was always put off. But I have to hold my hands up high and let you guys know I was way off and wrong to be doubting all the fuss and hype because I have a new holy grail item in my makeup bag and it's the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray*; It's a big OMG amazing and I'm obsessed with it.

First of all before we get into the details of how this spray works its wonders and how it became a holy grail makeup product, lets just look and admire the pretty packaging. Longtime fans of the Urban Decay setting sprays will notice that my bottle looks a little different and thats because Urban Decay have had a complete makeover with their sprays. The new and improved bottles look gorgeous and I love the design; It's old white bottle has been replaced with a matte black one and it makes the purple font really stand out. I just think it looks really sleek placed upon my dresser and looks so much more like an Urban Decay product now, if that makes sense.

So the real question in hand is does this setting spray actually work? And the answer is yes, yes and yes, a million times. Before trying and testing out the All Nighter Spray I was getting into a bit of a rut with my makeup. My skin had been all over the place, and my post pregnancy hormones made my skin a right mess, one minute its dry as a bone the next it looks like its been bathing in oil its looks that greasy (totally gross I know). My problem skin has just made my makeup look awful, nothing was blending in well and within a few hours my makeup was melting off my face, no matter what I used on it. I knew I had to sort my skincare routine out first and I've been using some products that have been a real game changer for me, but I'll talk to you all about that in a later post. After getting into a good skincare routine, my skin has been starting to behave itself a little, but I was still struggling with keeping my makeup in place and no amount of powder was working; This is where the setting spray comes in. I tried this out for the first time just over a week ago and I was just wowed and amazed in an instant. I've not gotten this excited about a makeup product for a long time.

Once I applied all my makeup, I sprayed the All Nighter Setting spray over my face; four sprays was all it took. My first reaction was that it felt a like my face was slightly stiffening up, but this only lasted a few seconds until the spray dried. The first thing that I noticed was that it made my makeup look flawless, like all those tiny bits that hadn't blended in properly had magically fixed into place and it just gave my skin a really lovely finish. I was happy with how well my makeup looked and was pretty excited to see how well my makeup would last throughout the day.

After a few hours I checked in the mirror, around the time I usually start to feel my makeup shifting and the time when I have to get the powder out to fix any slip ups. I promise you this is not an overreaction, but I was actually amazed. For one my makeup didn't feel like it was slipping or shifting and I couldn't believe that my makeup looked like it has just been freshly applied. I kept checking my makeup throughout the day and I just couldn't believe at how well my makeup looked; every time I checked everything was where it should be and it stayed there right until I washed my makeup off in the evening, something which has never happened to me before. I went the whole day without reapplying my makeup.

I've been setting my makeup everyday with the All Nighter Setting Spray, and I'm still getting just as excited as I did the on the first day I used it because my makeup is always in place. I don't know the science behind it or how it works, but it just does. I had a little look on the Urban Decay website and the All Nighter Spray has something called 'Temperature Control Technology' which means it lowers the temperature of your makeup and that how it stays in place, which is pretty cool and amazing.

Honestly, its like this spray was the missing piece of the jigsaw puzzle for me but with makeup and I can't believe that all it would take was a few spritz of this spay to keep my makeup staying in place all day long. There is no way that I could ever be without this product in my makeup bag, it's amazing, so thank you so much Urban Decay for helping me out and making my makeup last. If you have trouble with keeping your makeup on, this spray will change your life, its brilliant. You can pick yours up here from the Urban Decay website, I promise you, its worth every penny.
