New In From Girls With Attitude, Boujee Blush Palette | Review

If you've ever scrolled through my blog, you will see that there are a lot of posts and reviews from the brand Girls With Attitude and it would come as no surprise to you that they are one of my favourite online brands. I've been one of their biggest fans for a few years now and every time a new product is released I get way too excited because when it comes to branding and the quality of products Girls With Attitude have never ever let me down. A few weeks ago the first ever GWA blush palette came on the scene and I've been using it everyday since, so I thought it would be perfect to get my full review up of the gorgeous Boujee Palette.

I think it goes without saying that every beauty girl has a bit of a thing for Mac, it was the first high end makeup brand that I fell in love with and my collection has gradually become bigger over the years, even more so since blogging. When I was on holiday (which seems like a life time ago now) I had a little splurge in the Duty Free as you do and picked up one of Mac's limited edition blushers from their Wash and Dry collection. Now with this being a limited edition product I was in two minds  whether or not to blog about as I got it a while ago and it's not something you'll be able to get hold of easily. However this is the second time Mac have released this blush and as I love it so much I thought it would be well worth the blog post.

Usually I'm not one to get lost in the hype of the limited edition Mac releases, but when I saw the collection sat there looking so pretty in the Duty Free, it quickly caught my attention. The Wash & Dry collection just screams holiday vibes to me with it's shining turquoise and sunset metallic outer casings. It's just so stunning. I'm not going to lie, I spent a little while at the Mac counter swatching pretty much everything in the collection and taking my time deciding what it was I wanted to take away with me on holiday.

I had to limit myself on picking a few things up as there were other bits that I was spending my money on in the Duty Free, so opted for just one blush in the shade Hipness. This decision turned out to be one of the best makeup decisions that I have ever made as this little blush has quickly become a favourite. Being very much a blush girl, I'm also quick to say that this is the best blush that I've ever used and the colour is just perfect for summer and works beautifully with my skin tone. I know this a pretty big statement to make, but it's so true - I love everything about this blush, so I'm absolutely gutted that it's a limited edition product.

Hipness is has to be the perfect summer blush, I would describe it as a really warm toned coral shade that leans towards the pink side. You only need to use the smallest amount of this blush to give your cheeks a little flush of warmth to your complexion. You know when you've been out in the sun and you have a really healthy sun kissed glow to your skin, this blush gives you that really healthy look. Mac have given Hipness one of its frost finish formulas, but I don't find this blush to be shimmery at all. I think it just gives your skin more of a glow than a sparkle which is even better.

I honestly don't know what I'm going to do when this blush runs out, other than hunt around for the perfect dupe. It would be a dream if Mac could add this to its permanent line and I'm keeping my fingers crossed. If you use any blushers which are similar to this, please let me know in the comments below as I'm dreading the day where I have to limit my uses on this blush.

Sleek Blush By 3 Palette - Lace || Review

Swatches Left to Right: Crochet || Guipure || Chantilly

Spring might not be here just let, but it is just around the corner and now Janurary is out of the way I start to get that little bit excited about ditching my winter berry shades and swapping them for pretty pinks and warm coral tones. I was having a little browse though my makeup collection and dug out my Sleek Blush By 3 Palette in Lace which contains some of my most favourite blushers of all time. Being a lover of blushers, this blush palette holds a special place in my heart and I absolutely cannot wait to start wearing these gorgeous colours once again. It occurred to me that I've never featured this well loved palette on my blog and thought it deserved a spot and hopefully will help get you ladies in the mood to ditch your winter makeup.

As a lot of you know I have a lot of love for Sleek blushers as they are by far some of the best blushers that I've ever tried. The pigmentation is outstandingly amazing and you only need the lightest of hand and a good brush for blending to give your cheeks a gorgeous flush of colour. Not only is the quality of these blushers next to none but they have a good wear and I rarely need to re apply blush during the day when I wear a Sleek blusher.

This Blush By 3 Palette in Lace has three beautiful blushers that are perfect to take you into Spring, yes I know they are a little bright (most Sleek blushers are) but they look stunning once applied. My first choice and the shade that I always gravitate towards the most has to be shade on the right 'Chantilly', its a warm coral shade that leans slightly more on the red side - Once on though it gives your cheeks a warm rosy glow. I love how it instantly warms up your face and this is such a great blush for evening time. Equally I love using 'Guipure' the pink shimmery shade which sits right in the middle of the palette. This shade is very similar to Sleeks 'Rose Gold' Blush except I find it leans more on the pink side. This blush is so gorgeous once on as it has a lovely golden shimmer running though it which does an amazing job at highlighting those cheek bones. The other shade in the palette is the bright coral/orange coloured one on the left 'Crochet' and this was the shade I was a little bit worried about wearing when I first bought this palette. When it comes to blusher I love my pinks and I really didn't know how this shade would work with my skin tone. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how well this shade works, especially when your tanned and is actually quite subtle once blended in. This is a perfect daytime shade and when Spring is in full swing I know I'll be reaching for this shade an awful lot.

Overall I love this Sleek Palette and seeing as it's only £9.99 for three amazing blushers that will last you forever, I think its well worth the money. I also love the packaging and the fact that the palette has a huge mirror inside which is perfect for on the go.

I've contemplated picking up some of the over Sleek blush palettes but on first glances I don't think they look as good as the 'Lace' palette - If you've tried and tested any of them I would love to know your thoughts ladies and how well they compared to the Lace palette, be sure to let me know in the comments below.

MUA (Makeup Academy) Blush Shade 5

Hi girls! One makeup item that I simply adore has to be blush, so much so that I think it has to be one of my most favourite makeup items to apply and I tend to buy more blushers than I do pretty lipsticks! Shockingly I've never got my hands on any of the MUA blushers and I've heard nothing but amazing things about them in the beauty blogger world. So when I popped into my local Superdrug the other day I decided to part with my £1.00 and purchase one of the new blushers that MUA have just released into their blush range.

I picked the blush that is in Shade 5 and I have to say the colour of this blush is right up my street and its become my go too blush! My camera has not quite picked up the true colour of this MUA blush, so I'll try my best to explain to you how it really appears. This blush is the most beautiful coral, pink peachy colour and has slight golden shimmer undertones to it. The shimmer however is so fine that it's very subtle once applied to your cheeks and this could easily be worn day or night.

What I love about this blush it's that for £1.00 it's so pigmented and blends very easily when applying it. There is no fear of having those awful blush lines where it wont blend in nicely which we all know is never a good look! The MUA blush has a slight chalky feel to it, but it once its on your cheeks, it feels like a good quality blush. As for staying power; I wasn't expecting great things because of the price, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised to find that four hours after application, the blush it was still where I applied it and only needed a slight touch up.

MUA have six different shades in their blush collection and I would say that this one is more suited to medium skin tones. But having said that, this blush is very buildable and for those of you with fairer skin, I think that this would still be perfect for you, if you used a light hand when applying it.

Overall I love this blush and love the way it looks on my skin and for the price you can't go wrong. I'm tempted to go back into Superdrug and buy other five shades of blush in the collection. For those thinking about getting this blush you can order it from the MUA website here

What do you think beauties? Have you tried this blush yet? Let me know your thoughts.
