One of my favourite things about makeup has to be the way it can completely and totally transform your look, with a few strokes of a brush and a bit of product I love how I can turn myself from a zombie from the Walking Dead into a sun kissed goddess in a matter of minutes. Both of these extremes and totally not true I know, but you get the idea! The point I am making is that makeup is just generally amazing. One of my favourite trends with makeup and has been since Kim K popped on the scene has been the art of contouring. For the longest of time I've tried, tested and have perfected what is my everyday contour look and I am literally obsessed with buying and tying out new products that help me get those cheekbones!

For a little while now I have been wanting to get my hands on the Anastasia Beverly Hills contour palette which I always seen frequently used by Shaaanxo on YouTube. Shannon's makeup is always on point and she has to be my favourite beauty babe. As it's a product she swears by it's a no brainer that I need it in my need to have it in my makeup collection. Having not quite gotten around to purchase this must have palette for contour, there has been a little makeup void in my life. So you can only imagine my excitement when one of my favourite makeup brands, Makeup Revolution released their Ultra Contour Kit! Hurray! Dupe Alert!

From the minute I set eyes on this palette, it was literally love at first sight. You only have to look at the kit to see its beauty and its range of powders that can create the most perfect contour and highlight. The kit contains 8 powders, 5 of them which have a perfect matte finish, one a satin and the other two are baked which remind me of the Mac Mineralise Skin Finishes.

Having experimented with this palette for the last two weeks I can honestly report back that it is as good as it looks and I've been reaching for it daily. For me this kit really has no limits and I can find a use for pretty much every shade within the kit. I've found my favourites for defining my cheekbones (the bottom left) and I love mixing the shades a little to create different colour combinations. My choice in highlight depends on what makeup look I'm going for that day, but the baked bronzed highlight on the bottom right of the palette leaves the most incredible sun kissed finish.

As well as contouring and highlighting this palette can also be put to other uses. I've tried using some of the shades as eyeshadows and used some of the lighter highlight shades to set the concealer under my eyes for a much more flawless finish. One thing that amazes me is the quality of each powder. They are all finely milled and blend beautifully, which is just what you need for contouring.

Obsessed is the one word that comes to mind with this contour kit, I honestly can't get enough of it. For £8.00 I think its excellent value for money. I can't recommend it enough. I would love to know what your thoughts are on this, are you planning on picking one up?

Pretty In Pink - My Favourite Summer Nail Polishes & Matching Lipsticks

Nail Polish, Pink Nail Polish, Lipstick, Barry M, Nails Inc, MUA Lilac Nail Polish, Nail Girls Nail Polish, Sinful Colors, Pink

Call me a typical girly girl, but I just love when my nails and lipstick match. I don't know why but it satisfies me immensely and I just love the way the colours pair off beautifully. As summer is the season where I tend to wear non stop pink on my lips I thought today I would put together a few of my favourite pink nail polishes that are sure to match any pink lipstick in your collection.

MUA Lush Lilac

Starting with the lightest shade, this pastel nail polish from MUA is actually not a pink but a very muted lilac. I just love these kind of polishes that have a slight hint of colour but lean more towards a white shade. I think for summer anything that sort of resembles a white nail polish really enhances a tan and gives any manicure a really clean and polished look. I love wearing pink tinted lip glosses in the summer, so this polish pairs with them beautifully.

Nail Girls Colour

It really bugs me when a nail polish doesn't have a name and this one from Nail Girls is one of them, but the actual colour is gorgeous and its one my favourite type of pinks to wear. I would describe this colour as a bubblegum pink; It's soft, understated but girly at the same time. I wear a lot of lipsticks in this kind of colour, especially Mac's Chatterbox and Lovelorn and this shade compliments them both beautifully.

Nails Inc Gel Effect Polish - Covent Garden Place

When it comes to high shine nail polishes, the ones that create that gel effect are great. I'm a big fan of the Nails Inc Gel polishes as they are super shiny and give my nails that really polished professional manicure look. I think this shade is such a beautiful bright bold pink that is really fun to wear in the summer and its one of those pinks that looks killer with a tan. I wore this a lot when I was on holiday in Turkey and it just made me feel really sun kissed. I love matching this shade to Mac's Impassioned as it's a match made in heaven.

Barry M - Fuchsia

Everyone needs a really good fuchsia pink in their nail collection and one of my favourites has to be this one from Barry M. When it comes to nail polish Barry M are without a doubt my favourite brand.  I love wearing a deep fuchsia pink lipstick on a summers evening out so I often reach for this nail polish to complete my look.

Sinful Colours - 920

Now before your wonder and your mind gets carried away, I would just like to point out now that I do not own or wear any lipstick in this bright bold highlighter pink shade! However I adore this nail polish so much that I couldn't leave it out of this post. This crazily pink nail polish is one I've had in my collection for sometime and it only makes an appearance during the summer months. I love this polish when I'm looking to be a little bit more fun with my nail colour, although for me it's a little too daring for everyday especially with work. However I do love to rock this colour on my toe nails. I find you can be a little more adventurous when it comes to choosing your toe nail colour! Again this colour looks great if I have a tan, for some reason it doesn't work for me when I'm feeling a little pale - But overall I love it.

I feel like everyone has a preference in nail colour choices in the summer and as you can see my go to shades are pinks with a mix of bolds and pastels. I would love to know what your summer nail choices are and what your favourite nail polish is right now? Let me know in the comments.

100% Mermaid || My Skinny Dip London Obsession

Skinny Dip London iPhone6 Case, 100% Mermaid, Mermaid Case, Phone Case, Flamingo Phone Case

A few months ago now I decided that enough was enough and that it was time for me to upgrade my phone. I was one of the first people to get the iPhone 4 which at the time was my pride and glory and for a good few years it was what I used everyday. I knew it was time for an upgrade when Apple kindly informed me that my phone was too old to do the latest update and I had finally had enough of my little 4. My fiancé being one for surprises and just generally amazing, had secretly ordered me the gold iPhone 6. A new phone means new phone cases, so I thought I'd share with you my two new favourite ones.

Way before I got my phone I had been eyeing up the Skinny Dip London website, which has to be the coolest place on the internet for phone cases and other cute phone accessories. I had my old phone kitted out in some Skinny Dip cases from when I worked at River Island, so I was already a fan of the designs and quality of these cases.

Skinny Dip London iPhone6 Case, 100% Mermaid, Mermaid Case, Phone Case, Flamingo Phone Case

As a lot of you may know by now from my Twitter and Instagram, that I happen to have a bit of a mermaid obsession, so much so that I swear I was a mermaid in my past life... I love the beach, sea, sand, beach hair, wavy hair etc (you get the idea). So when I saw the glittery 100% Mermaid phone case I instantly fell in love and knew that this was the perfect phone case for me. As you can see from the pictures it looks great on my phone and the simplistic design always grabs peoples attention. I just love how this case helps me to channel my inner mermaid.

When it comes to shopping I'm sure you'll all agree that its impossible to just pick up one thing. As much as I love my mermaid case, I do like to switch things up a bit from time to time and this gold flamingo case caught my attention. I don't know why I just think flamingo prints are pretty cool and are perfect for summer. I also love how this phone case still shows off my gold iPhone backing at the same time.

Skinny Dip London iPhone6 Case, 100% Mermaid, Mermaid Case, Phone Case, Flamingo Phone Case

What I really love about the designs of these two phone cases is that they are really sleek and comfortable hold. The iPhone 6 is pretty big and bulky for my little hands anyway, so its nice to have a case that still makes it feel like you're holding an iPhone. As far as protecting my phone, I'm not really sure as I'm not someone (touches wood) who drops my phone. But whilst my phone is being carried around in my bag I know its nice and protected in its cute little case. Another nice little plus is that you get a free screen protector with each case you buy.

Overall I love my new phone cases and and literally obsessed with my phone again. If your looking to jazz up your phone then I would really recommend you check out the Skinny Dip website (here).

Goodbye To Bloggers Block - I'm Back!!

Hi guys, first of all I want to apologise for being the worst blogger in history! We're nearing the end of July and this will only be my third time posting this month, which is so unlike me. I think its been a mixture of bloggers block, stress and work overload that has just made me absent from my blogging ways. I know that blogging is a hobby and should not be the focus of my life but I just can't help feel guilty about my lack of posting. I know I'm not alone in feeling like this and I know you'll all understand and relate to what I'm saying, but I can't apologise enough for not being here.

All though I've pretty much found it impossible to blog over the past couple of weeks and inspiration has just not struck, I have missed my little bloggy immensely and even typing out this little post now just radiates some sparkle in me! A lot of my time has been taken up with work, training, cheer practices and quality time with my loved ones, but I'm more than ready to get back into the swing of things and I have loads of notes jotted down in my notebook to get working on.

So really this is just a little update post to say hello, I'm still here I've not forgotten about you or my blog and you'll be seeing a lot more from me on your blogging feed. Starting from tomorrow I will be back to my usual blogging schedule officially! If you've been going through a similar thing with your blog please let me know, we can pull through this together!

The Best Shampoo & Conditioner For Thicker Hair || L'Oreal Fibrology

L'Oreal Elvive Fibrology Thickening Shampoo & Conditioner

When it comes to shampoo and conditioner I have to say I'm not really that adventurous, I tend to stick with my favourites and trust the products that I know will give my hair the best results. I usually stick to Aussie haircare, but recently I decided to try something to mix things up a little. Out of all the shampoo and conditioners sat there on the shelves I was really drawn to the new L'Oreal Elvive Fibrology Thickening Shampoo & Conditioner (what a mouthful I know). Some of you may know now that whilst my hair maybe long, its incredibly thin and if there is a product that claims to thicken my hair then it instantly grabs my attention.

I'm not really sure the know all behind the technology of this shampoo and conditioner, but I'd like to get it out there right now that this stuff actually works. From the first time using it I really noticed a difference to the way my hair felt, it definitely had a lot more life and omph to it which is so amazing. Thin haired girls will understand my struggle of having hair that literally just hangs there and does nothing no matter what you do to it.

L'Oreal Elvive Fibrology Thickening Shampoo & Conditioner

When it comes to my hair usually I'll add products to it to create some body and texture, but I really wanted to see what this thickening shampoo and conditioner could really do, so for the past two weeks apart from my obsessive use for hair oils, I've left my hair product free. I have to say the difference is hugely noticeable. It's really hard to explain in words how this makes my hair feel, but it just feels as though each stand is a little thicker than what it once was before. Don't get me wrong, my hair is still thin and these products didn't give me new set of hair overnight. But the fact that my hair just feels and looks a lot thicker is just amazing.

I honestly don't think there are enough shampoos and conditioners on the market that thicken your hair that actually work! This one also passes the smell test, I just love the way this shampoo and conditioner smells; It has that professional salon smell to it which makes it feel luxurious and a lot more expensive that it's £4.00 (each) price tag.

As always I'm a sucker for packaging and turquoise and pink are two of my favourite colours so these bottles get a big thumbs up from me. L'Oreal really have changed the way my hair feels and looks with this thickening set and I will definitely be making a repurchase once I'm finished with these. If you have thin hair like me, I honestly can't recommend these enough.

Hawaiian Tropic Obsessed || My Favourite Suncreams For The Perfect Tan

Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration, Hawaiian Tropic Body Butter, Banana Boat Aloe Gel
Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration, Hawaiian Tropic Body Butter, Banana Boat Aloe Gel

Oh my how gorgeous the weather been this week? It's been like living in another country and it's certainly helped ease some of my holiday blues. I had a lovely day in the park yesterday topping up my tan. With the weather being scorching I thought it would be great to share some of my favourite suncreams, after all it's so important to protect your skin. For the past couple of years, every time that I go away on holiday I always turn to Hawaiian Tropic, they are by far my favourite brand for sun care. Not only do the creams work amazingly, but I just adore the packaging and my eyes are always drawn to them  on the shop shelves.

Although it's not a new release the Silk Hydration suncream was a new try for me this year and I was intrigued by the silk ribbons running though the lotion. I picked up factor 30 as my skin doesn't burn easily and tends to develop a tan pretty quickly; Factor 50 for me just takes too long for my skin to darken. I have to say this suncream is like no other I've ever tried and I'm seriously so impressed by it. Whenever I go away or my skin is exposed to a lot of sun, it tends to go red the first couple of days; It can take a little while for my skin to adjust, before it starts turning brown. I don't know how this suncream performed miracles, but I suffered no redness whatsoever whilst away on holiday. This suncream really allowed my skin to gradually tan perfectly without me looking like a lobster and I've never had that before, ever!

I can only put this down to the special silk hydration formula as the ribbons that you can see in the bottle provide hydration and moisture to your skin as well as protecting it. As you know the sun sucks all the moisture out of your skin, but I never felt like this was the case when using this sunscreen. Not only did it work amazingly, my skin just felt so soft, it was lovely. Another added bonus is that it's smells so incredible, it really is that holiday scent wrapped into a bottle.

Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration, Hawaiian Tropic Body Butter, Banana Boat Aloe Gel

Once my tan had developed a little more, I decided that it was time for take my tanning up to another level and this is where the oil came out. As I love Hawaiian Tropic so much it was an obvious choice for me to choose the protective dry spray oil. I wouldn't really say tanning oils are great for the skin as it literally cooks your skin and when looking for that perfect oil a lot of them seem to have such a low factor: Most of them being factor 2 or 5! I just think thats not going to provide my skin any protection whatsoever. But Hawaiian Tropic offer an oil which is Factor 15 which sits a little better with me. What I really like about this oil is that it doesn't feel to greasy on the skin. I've used other oils in the past and they can be so uncomfortable to wear, especially in 33 degree heat. However this one is very lightweight and I love that it comes in a spray bottle as it means I don't have to get my hands dirty. When I started to use this oil I really started to see my holiday tan develop. If you are looking to go that little bit darker on your holiday or at home, I really recommend giving this oil ago.

My favourite bit about sun care has to be the aftersun, these are my favourite things to buy when holiday shopping, and what a surprise the ones I picked are Hawaiian Tropic. Again not having tried the Silk Hydration aftersun before, I wanted to give it ago. I'll be honest, I smelt it in the shop and was completely won over, it smells delicious! Its fragrance is coconut and papaya infused together, these two scents really are that perfect holiday smell in a bottle. I had so many people tell me that I smelt lovely in the evenings, so it's a scent that really lingers well after its application.  For me this was the perfect aftersun to use after a day exposed to the sun. I don't know how these silk ribbons work, but I think it makes a difference to you skin with providing it the hydration and moisture that it lacks. I love the fact the lotion isn't too heavy and I was surprised at how quickly my skin drank it up; My skin was just so soft after using it. Another great thing about this aftersun is that it contains aloe gel, which really is your skins best friend after a day of sunning. The aloe gel really helps to cool down your skin and although I didn't have and redness it did a great job at cooling the areas of skin that were glowing in the evening.

I'm also a sucker for a body butter and again I gravitated towards the Hawaiian Tropic exotic count one. For the past couple of years every time I've been away I've brought a tub of this because I love it so much. I even purchase it for at home to use as an everyday body butter because it's that good. Again the coconut smell is just that perfect summer scent for me and it's also another one that lingers around hours after use. As you would expect with a body butter, this one is really creamy, indulgent and its one that I find helps to prolong my tan, so I'm still using it now.

Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration, Hawaiian Tropic Body Butter, Banana Boat Aloe Gel

One other sun care product that I love which isn't Hawaiian Tropic has to be the Banana Boat Aloe Vera Gel. It's one of those products that I remember my mum and dad packing on holidays when I was younger, so I've been using it for years. Like I mentioned before Aloe Gel is great for cooling down the skin and in the past when I have accidentally burnt my skin this gel works wonders at patching things up; I wouldn't go away on holiday without it. I don't think the smell would be to everyones taste, but I really like it, probably because it reminds me of childhood holidays. The gel absorbs so quickly into your skin and I've always applied it before adding my other aftersun creams. I know it might seem like a bit more effort, but I promise you my skin thanks me for it every time that I use it.

I would love to know if you are obsessed with Hawaiian Tropic just as much as I am, I've not tried every product in their range so I would love to hear your recommendations. I'm also on the hunt for a really good face suncream as I've still not found my perfect one. Let me know in the comments below.

Lots of Love
