Can you remember the times before dry shampoo existed? I can and honestly I question how we all coped. Before dry shampoo came into my life I would literally wash my hair everyday! To think now I wash it every few days, something that wouldn't be possible without a trusty can of dry shampoo. Over the years I've tried and tested a few and remained loyal to a few brands. Today I thought I would share with you my top two dry shampoos and the only two that I would happily spend my money on time and time again. Yes I am a loyal fan of these shampoos and they're the only ones that forever reappear on my beauty shelf.
Starting with my top favourite, it has to be the Batiste Tropical Dry Shampoo. Batiste were the first brand of dry shampoo that I ever tried and I still swear by it to this day. It really is one of my all time holy grail hair products. Over the years I've seen Batiste add to their dry shampoo collection, brining out so many lovely and delicious fragrances but I have to say the tropical one is my all time favourite and the only one that I find myself reaching for on the shelves.
The reason why this dry shampoo takes my number one top spot is because it never ever fails me. Quite simply it works and does everything that I expect it to do and more. I love the tropical fragrance, I love how clean my hair feels afterwards and I love that it adds plenty of body and texture to my hair which is just a nice added bonus to using this product. The only downside, which is one that I've found with the majority of dry shampoos out there is that it can leave your hair looking a little white or grey. But I just work this in to my hair with my fingertips and the powder is gone in an instant.
My second favourite dry shampoo just misses out on a few marks being from the top, but its one that I love using just as much as my Batiste one. The dry shampoo in question is the Tresseme Instant Refresh. For me this has a completely different feel to the Batiste as it has more of a salon quality feel to it which really makes a noticeable difference to my hair. Again I love the scent of this dry shampoo, it feels really fresh and smells more like a liquid shampoo so it gives me more of that freshly washed hair feeling. One huge plus with this dry shampoo is that it doesn't leave any powder in your hair and the spray is transparent, so all you have to do is spray and style.
Like I said at the start of this post, I've tried and tested so many dry shampoos over the years and these two have to be my all time favourites. Myself and my hair could not live without these two products, they've saved me from having so many bad hair days.
I would love to know what your go to dry shampoo is? And if you love Batiste as much as I do let me know what your favourite scent it?
Lots of Love
I dont like either of these, and to be honest im not a big of fan of dry shampoos at all. If I had to use one I'd go for Dove, it smells nice and doesnt leave much of the white residue behind or makes my hair feel rough

DeleteI own the Batiste and I do really like it but more recently I've been loving the Klorane dry shampoo. Have you tried that one before?
ReplyDeleteI've not tried that one yet, but heard amazing things. Must pick one up x
DeleteThanks for sharing these, I've been looking for a new one! xo

Your welcome, these two have never failed me x
DeleteYou have made me want to purchase both of these to try! I only ever use the original Batiste and I hate the smell. Lovely post

I'm not a fan of the original batiste smell either, but the tropical one smells lush 💕
DeleteOoh I've not tried the Tresemme one but it sounds fab! I really love Colab dry shampoos :)

I love the colab ones too, just I never really shop in SuperDrug, I'm a boots girl lol x
DeleteThese 2 are also my favourite dry shampoo's they tame my very oily hair, I do like batiste a little more because it seems it soaks up a little more. I've also tried the Herbal Essence one in the orange bottle, that is another good one as well. What a great post!

Thank you Katie. I find the batiste one soaks up a little more too. My holy grail dry shampoo x
DeleteNo joke, I have no idea how I would cope without dry shampoo! Batiste has been a staple of mine for years now, but I'll have to give the Tresemme one a go too now :)

I know, I couldn't cope either - if it didn't exist I'd have to go back to washing my hair everyday eek x
