Lancôme Juicy Shakers | Review & Swatches

Lancôme Juicy Shakers Review
Lancôme Juicy Shakers Review

When I received an email in my inbox about the release of the new Lancôme Juicy Shakers I was really excited for a couple of reasons; My main one being is that I'm a little lipstick or lip product obsessed and the second is that this a lip product that is completely new and is like nothing I've seen or tried before. After trying these beauties out for a few weeks, my excitement quickly turned into love. Before I go into detail as to why I love this product, let me tell you a little more about the new Juicy Shakers.

The Juicy Shaker from Lancôme is a lip product that has that same fun vibe and similar feel to their iconic Juicy Tubes, but with a much more modern twist and packaging that is really fun and innovative. Each Juicy Shaker has a very similar feel and finish to a standard lipgloss, but also contains nourishing almond and cranberry oil that make your lips feel silky smooth. Think of a lipgloss that has lovely pigmentation but is non sticky and super glossy and you have the Juicy Shaker.

Not only is the concept of this lip product really unique and amazing to use, Lancôme have designed a packaging which really adds an element of fun as the Juicy Shakers look like miniature cocktail shakers. The idea is that you shake the two components of this lip product together just like you would in a cocktail; Once shaken then the lipgloss is ready to apply. I just think this is a really fun idea, especially as I love the odd cocktail or two, who doesn't?

I love this style of packaging, not only is it fun, but it has a sleekness to it and feels very chic. The Juicy Shaker not only looks good from the outside, but theres also another unique feature with this lipgloss and thats the application. In the lid of the Juicy Shaker is a soft cushion which makes application faultless. The sponge soaks up just the right amount of product and distributes it over your lips evenly.

What I love most about the Juicy Shakers has to be the shades available and the cute names that Lancôme have given each gloss. There are 14 to choose from in total and I've been trying out two of them - Apri-Cute, which is an orange toned coral and my favourite 'Freedom of Peach' which is a pretty pale pink.

After wearing both of these Juicy Shakers I have found that when it comes to pigmentation, they are quite sheer which makes them great for in the day when I'm wanting to wear something a little more subtle. I've also tried layering these over lipsticks in similar shades which really helps make the gloss look more opaque.

The only downside to the Juicy Shakers is that they don't seem to be very long lasting once on, however they are so fun to apply that I don't really mind taking this out of my bag for another application. I also completely forgot to mention the smell, these shakers are deliciously sweet. Overall I love this product and think its worth snapping up a few, especially if your a lipstick lover life myself.

Let me know what your thoughts are? Are you planning on picking any up?

Lots of Love
