There is nothing more satisfy than going on a huge shopping spree for makeup and other beauty bits, who agrees with me? I love it when I start crossing things of my wish list (which is forever growing) and I always get such a buzz when I add something I've been wanting for a long time into my shopping basket. Usually I buy most of my makeup online for convenience, but going to a beauty contour is always my favourite way to buy my makeup. When it comes to shopping for high end makeup, either online or in store, my go too shop is always House of Fraser as they have the best selection. If you're a regular reader here you will know that a new HoF opened up near me recently (post here) and I was kindly invited to the launch. I could't see the new store without doing some makeup shopping, so I thought it was about time I got a beauty haul up. These are my favourite kinds of posts to read, so get comfy and enjoy!
Nars Laguna Bronzer; When I saw the Nars counter at House of Fraser I could have jumped around and done cartwheels but that might have been slightly embarrassing and inappropriate lol; Nars is just a brand that I absolutely love. I love the Nars Laguna Bronzer, I think its one of those cult beauty products and rightly so, its amazing. I used to wear this all the time and since I hit pan on my last one which must have been about two years ago now, I never got round to making a repurchase. For me this bronzer is the perfect shade and looks so beautiful on my skin, so I'm really excited to be using this again
Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation; Oh my gosh, I love this foundation so much, its one of my all time favourites. Its one of those foundations that makes my skin look completely flawless and it has a beautiful matte finish. Sometimes I have trouble making my makeup stay on all day, but not with this foundation - I don't need any top ups! I'm so happy to have this back in my life. If you want to see my full review you can find it here.
Urban Decay Vice Lipstick Hitch Hike; So my House of Fraser has one of the biggest Urban Decay counters that I've ever seen and you guys know that Urban Decay is one of my all time favourite makeup brands, I was in my element. I'm completely obsessed with their Naked Heat palette right now and I wanted a lipstick that would really compliment the shades in this palette. I had one of those typical beauty blogger moments in store where I left the counter with an armful of lipstick swatches. I couldn't leave without adding Hitch Hike to my basket. It's a stunning shade, described as a brick rose and I think this is going to look beautiful for autumn, plus the packaging is gorgeous.
Mac Lipliner Spice; This lipliner has been on my wish list for such a long time and after hearing so many amazing things about it, I'm more than happy to have it in my collection. I love a brown toned nude and I know I'll be able to pair this with so many of my matte liquid lipsticks. Again this is another great one for autumn.
Mac Pro Longwear Eyeliner Black Ice; When it comes to pencil eyeliners, Mac are the best I've tried by far; they're so pigmented and super long lasting, so worth investing in. I picked up the shade Black Ice, a real jet black shade. I have really watery eyes, so I need something smudge and budge proof. I usually go for Mac's Kohl Pencil in Smoulder, so I'm excited to try this to see how it compares.
Benefit Galifornia Blush; How beautiful is this blush? When it was released earlier this year I knew I had to invest at some point because it's so gorgeous. I love the packaging, its super girly and so pretty. I also love the print on the actual blush; it's designed in the shape of a sun with a beautiful gold foil on top, its almost too pretty to use. The blush is described as a sunny golden pink shade, which is so me. I just know that this is going to look stunning on.
Benefit Ka-Brow! For a good few years the only thing I used on my brows was Benefit's BrowZings, but then I got hooked on gel formulas and the rest was history. I had no idea until recently that Benefit had brought out their own gel for brows, Ka-Brow and knew that I needed to try this out. I picked out shade four, which is medium and I have really high hopes for this. We all know that no one does brows quite like Benefit.
The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5; Over the last few months I've seen so many beauty bloggers rave about The Ordinary products and just how great and affordable they are. When I saw the whole range of The Ordinary displayed out on the counter at House of Fraser I was beyond excited, I know that this was a brand I needed to try. I was told by Rachael, who kindly showed me around HoF that this was her new holy grail product and I can see why, her skin was glowing, honestly it was flawless! As you can imagine I popped one in my basket and picked up one for my mum too (she's beauty obsessed like me). Out of all the products I've picked up this is the one I have been reaching for the most and I'm obsessed with it all ready, its that good (and yes I couldn't wait to take pictures of it first, the excitement was too much!)
The Ordinary High-Adherence Silicone Primer; I was in need of a new primer and whilst I was browsing the beauty contour I thought I'd pick this one up and give it ago. I was amazed at how cheap it was, I think it was around the £4.50 mark and again I'm so impressed, it really smoothes out my skin and I've been using this every morning for the last two weeks. Another one I couldn't wait to use.
If you made it this far, well done! I know there was a lot to get through, but as you can see I picked up some real beauty gems. I can't wait to start trying everything out and I'm already itching to get back to House of Fraser, I really want to try some more of The Ordinary range. If you like anything you've seen in this post, I've attached a link to each product that will direct you straight there, or you can have a good browse in House of Fraser on their website, here. I was having a little look and theres currently a £10.00 off offer when you spend over £50.00 on selected beauty products. Thats an offer too good to ignore and I think I might have to have a look myself.
House of Fraser kindly gifted me a gift card so I could enjoy my shopping experience in their new store, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I love the UD all nighter foundation, its full coverage and long wearing asf but doesn't feel dry or look cakey at all which is a breakthrough! I find 1 pump does my entire face, which is great because you use it up very quickly!

Oh my goodness I am so jealous of your beauty haul! I love NARS and in badly need of new bronzer, you've inspired me to get some this weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'm bookmarking this page. I really need to try a new foundation. I was going to try a Nars foundation, but I'm going to try the one you got here instead. I am so obsessed with Benefit, I have that brusher but definitely want the brows thing. The packaging is adorable! x
ReplyDeleteThink I might need to try the foundation. I normally just stick to what I know as I don't like wasting money if I get it wrong but should probably take the plunge and try new makeup.
