Pretty In Pink | My Valentine's Day Makeup Bag

Happy Valentine's Day beautiful people. I love how this year Valentine's Day is right after pancake day, its fab having a double celebration. As you know, yesterday was all about the food, but today is all about the love. It doesn't matter if you're celebrating with the love of your life or if you and your girlfriends are celebrating Galentines, its great to get in the spirit and go all out. There was a time when my hubby and I used to go out and do something special, but now we have Archie our night will consist of a nice home cooked dinner and a cosy up on the sofa later with snacks and a good film. Whether you're going out or staying in, I love creating a Valentine's Day makeup look. Red or pink? It's a difficult one to choose, but this year I'm all about the soft subtle pinks and I thought I'd share whats in my Valentine's Day makeup bag if you need a bit of last minute inspiration.

When it comes to eye makeup, there is only one palette I can think of which is perfect for Valentines, and thats the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. I love all the rose golds, shimmery dusky pinks and delicate matte browns in this palette and I think it's perfect to create a soft romantic look on the eyes. Theres a few darker matte shades in the palette too, so if you have a hot date and want a makeup look to match then this palette is still perfect. For lashes, falsies are a must and I'm obsessed with my Girls With Attitude ones; Incase you didn't know GWA do the best false lashes ever and my current favourites are these Luxury Silk lashes in the style 'Sleek' - I love how fluttery and whispy they are.

For my base, I'll be wanting to use a foundation that makes my skin look flawless and is long lasting and for that the Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation will be used - I love this foundation, its one of my all time favourites. For concealer I'm loving the Maybelline Eraser for dark circles; This is super brightening and perfect for under the eyes - I also love applying this in the centre of my forehead and down the middle of my nose for that skin that looks radiant and glowing. I'll be using my trusty Benefit Ka-Brow to fill in my brows, as far as brow pomades go, this is one of the best I've tried and bad brow days are a thing of the past since I started using this.

As I'm sticking with pink products this Valentine's, I think Benefit's Galifonia Blush will be perfect. This pretty pink/peach blush really warms my cheeks up and I only need to use the smallest amount to get really soft pink that I'm looking for. For highlight, again I'll be using another favourite and that's my Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop, I love the warm golden shimmers in this highlighter, it looks absolutely stunning once on and I just know it's going to compliment my pink makeup look perfectly.

To finish off my makeup look, I think a pink toned nude lipstick will work perfectly. If you know me and read my blog regularly, you will know that this is my favourite lipstick shade to wear and I own far to many that it's impossible to narrow it down to just one, but for this makeup look I'm choosing my Girls With Attitude Liquid Matte Lipstick in the shade 'Mermaid Kiss', it's really long lasting and I love that it has a slight peach tone to it and I think it will look perfect with any pink toned eye makeup look.
