November Favourites

Hi gorgeous girls and a big fat hello to DECEMBER!! I can't believe the magical and most wonderful month of the year is finally here. I absolutely love December and have been counting down the days for it to start all the way back at the beginning of November. Not only does December mean that the countdown to Christmas officially starts, but its also the month of my Birthday which always adds that extra bit of excitement.  I cannot wait to get the Christmas decorations up this week and turn my place into a little grotto. I also really need to make a start on Christmas shopping which is another must for this week. Anyway excitement aside I thought seeing as it's the first of December today I would share with you all what I was loving last month...

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Buttercream and Smoothie Star Body Buttercream

When it comes to body butters, Soap & Glory are always a brand that I turn too. I've always been a religious user of their infamous Righteous Body Butter as its just heavenly. However as Boots where having 3 for 2 offer across all Soap & Glory products I thought I would branch out and give the Sugar Crush and Smoothie Star body butters ago. I've always heard so many amazing things about these two products around the bloggosphere , especially the Sugar Crush range.  I have to say it has been pretty much love at first smell with these two products as they are just incredible. Not only do they both smell good enough to eat, they do such a brilliant job and nourishing and hydrating my skin and they are an absolute pleasure to use.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte by Kate Moss - Shade 107

When it comes to Winter makeup, a red lip is always a favourite for me. For the longest of time I had been meaning to pick up the blogger favourite, Kate Moss Lipstick from Rimmel in the shade 107. This lipstick is such a gorgeous deep vampy red and is perfect for this time of year. I have to be honest I was a little bit concerned with this lipstick having a matte finish as I much prefer a buttery finish, but this shade just looks so gorgeous on. It's really long lasting and for such a deep red its extremely wearable, I love it and I can see this being my go too lipstick in December too.

L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes

If you've been reading my blog for sometime you will know that the L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes has to be one of my holy grail mascaras, its perfect for adding length to your lashes and most importantly adding lots of volume. I did a whole post dedicated to this mascara a little while ago if you would like to check it out. With this mascara I feel no need to add false lashes at all as it gives a great false lash effect, if your looking to open up your eyes and make your lashes flutter I really recommend that you ladies give this one ago.

No7 Perfectly Bronzed Dual Bronzer

I wont go into too much detail as I did a whole review on the No7 Perfectly Bronzed Dual Bronzer a few weeks ago which you can find here. I think No7 products often get overlooked in the beauty world, but there are some hidden little gems in the No7 range and this bronzer is one of them. I find it's the perfect bronzer for contouring and gives your skin that gorgeous summer glow.

St Moriz Self Tanning Lotion - Dark

Ah, you ladies will know that when it comes to fake tanning, I'm a little addicted.  I'm one of these girls who just feels so much better when my skin is a gorgeous shade of bronze. When it comes to tanning products I've tried my fair share but I always find myself going back to the cheap and cheerful St Moriz. I much prefer the lotion formula to the mousse as I find that it's a lot less drying on your skin. I love the colour payout of the St Moriz tan as its a really deep tan colour but looks ever so natural at the same time. I've been using it quite a lot over November and its definitely one of the best self tanners that I've tried.

So that's everything for my monthly favourites, I would love to know what you've been loving this month ladies - Be sure to let me know in the comments below.

Lots of Love

Casper the Friendly Ghost | Halloween Nail Art

Hello gorgeous girls. A few of you who follow me on Twitter and Instagram may have been noticed me sporting this super cute ghost design on my nails.  I never thought that I'd ever say a ghost was cute, but I just think that these little guys (Casper's) on my nails are adorable and perfect for the spooky month of October. They are ever so easy to do and I'm pretty sure that anyone with a nail art dotting tool, nail art pen or a Kirby grip/bobby pin can create this simple design.

Step One

Paint your nails in any colour that you want to use for the background. Black would work perfectly for this, but for this design I have used No7 Stay Perfect in Betty Blues. Betty Blues is the most gorgeous midnight blue which has a very subtle blue glitter added to it. I adore this colour and as black nails look horrible on me  Betty Blues is a great alternative. It gives the appearance of black nails and only when your nails catch the light or you look close up, you can see that the polish is actually blue.

Step Two

Once your nails are dry, you will want to pick out your very best white polish and with whatever tool you are using (I used a dotting tool) you will want to place a blob at the bottom of your nail, using a generous amount of polish. With the excess polish on your blob, you will want to use your dotting tool and draw a half moon shape down the nail, which will create the body. You may need to add a little more while polish to the tip of your tool to even the line out. You should have something that looks like a crescent with a circle at the top. Wait for these to dry.

Step Three

With your dotting tool again you will want to draw two little triangles on either side of the circle, which will create the ghost's arms. Once the white polish has dried, you will want to create the eyes and mouth of the ghost. I used the same colour as I used for the base, but you can choose any colour your prefer. With a really light hand you will want to place two small dots in the circle and a slightly bigger one in the middle, underneath the first two dots. Then you should have a little Casper ghost drawn onto your nails.

Step Four (optional)

Once your nails have fully dried, add your favourite top coat which will help to smooth out any bumps or imperfections and of course keep the chips at bay.

It really is easy as that. Hope you enjoyed this post ladies, I'm looking to work on some more Halloween inspired nail art, so if you have any ideas or tutorials of your own please let me know.

February Favourites

Hello beauties. During the month of February I had a load of products I was in love with and thought it would be great to share with you all what they were. Some of the products you will have seen in recent reviews, so I shall link the posts so you can have some more information about those products. This is the first time that I have done a monthly favourites post, I don't know why its taken me so long to do it as I love reading these kind of posts! I'll stop rambling now and just get straight too it!

From Left to Right
Mac Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle | Aussie Luscious Long Leave-In Conditioner | Toni & Guy Casual Sea Salt Spray | Avon Colour Trend Pencil in Brown | No7 Blossoming Lip & Cheek Duo by Poppy King | Fearne Cotton Red Polish

Mac Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle

I picked this up mid February and I think its one of the best makeup purchases that I've made in a long while. Its quite simply the best highlighter I've ever used and it really works wonders on making your skin look radiant and fresh! This is definitely a product for you natural beauties out there. I've done a full review of Soft and Gentle MSF,so if your interested in knowing more and seeing swatches have a look here!

Aussie Luscious Long Leave-In Conditioner

I am in love with the Aussie Luscious Long Leave-In Conditioner. I bought this before Christmas and have used it every time that I've washed my hair. I have very fine hair that's prone to getting greasy very quickly, but I still use this alongside my normal conditioner. It doesn't make my hair feel dirty at all, just very smooth and super soft to the touch. I am planning on doing a full review this leave in conditioner so I wont go into too much detail, but I will say that it is my secret to having amazing hair!

Toni & Guy Casual Sea Salt Spray

If you've been reading my blog a little while then you will know that I recently did a review on the Toni & Guy Casual Sea Salt Spray which you can read here. I've been super busy this month and have not had the time spare to straighten my hair, so I've been going for a natural wave look with my instead. The sea salt spray really helps to define those waves and gives your hair that lovely beach look.

Avon Colour Trend Pencil in Brown

This eyeliner from Avon was kindly given to me by my future mother-in-law as she knew I was on the hunt for a good pencil that I could use to fill in my eyebrows. Its from the Colour Trend Range, which I believe is the makeup range Avon have for teenagers. Therefore its super affordable and it really does do the job, It's not too soft and is a buildable colour that really lasts. Although I use it for my eyebrows, I've tried it as an eyeliner also and it works great.

No7 Blossoming Lip & Cheek Duo by Poppy King

The No7 Blossoming Lip & Cheek Duo by Poppy King has been my go-to blush and lip colour this month. I love it so much that I did want to do a review for you all, but I don't think its in the No7 permanent collection as it was in a Christmas Box Set. But if I see it online I will be sure to let you beauties know. I got this for my mum at Christmas and she gave it back to me this month as she didn't get along with it (thanks mum! I know you read this). If your in the UK then you will know that the weather has been a bit up and down this month, but we have had some lovely days which has defiantly gotten me in the mood for Spring and the  Poppy King Duo looks amazing on, and is a great look for Spring. If you would like to see it on you can see a FOTD here

Fearne Cotton Red Polish

The Fearne Cotton red polish has been my go-to colour this month. I think its the perfect classic red colour and it looks beautiful on. If you would like to see a NOTD and review of this gorgeous polish then you can read about it here.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post lovelies and I would love to hear what you have been loving this month.

No7: Poppy King

Hi guys, so i was at Boots during my lunch break this week, my excuse for going was that i still had my No7 voucher. A whopping £5.00 off No7 and I just had to take them up on this offer (it would have been rude not too). I don't know if any of you have been to your No7 counter recently and noticed the Poppy King range they have? Well i would highly suggest you check it out as its all lovely. And with my voucher i decided to try out this Poppy King Lipgloss in Allure.

I have to say that i love this lipgloss the colour has lovely peach tones to it which creates a lovely healthy look to the lips and warms your face right up. The lipgloss is super pigmented and glossy without the whole thing being sticky, just what you need in a lipgloss.

And that's not it... it gets better. In this range there is a colour to suit everyone and they have matching lipsticks for each lipgloss colour so you can perfectly match your chosen colour for a super pigmented look. I haven't yet tried what the lipsticks are like but i will defiantly be going to purchase the allure colour to match my lipgloss as i was just so impressed with it.

For those of you who are wondering, (I was also wondering in the shop) who is Poppy King? Well i did some research for you and found she is the 'Lipstick Queen'. And I think that this title rightly hers as she has dedicated pretty much of her whole career to lipsticks, looking at everything from the texture, staying power and feel and i for one am wanting to try some of the products she has put her effort into making. Click here  to check out her website and products.

If any of you have tried any of the Poppy King cosmetics or the range that she has in Boots please comment and share, i would love to know your thoughts.

Danielle xoxo
