It will come as no surprise to you all when I say that Makeup Revolution is one of my favourite makeup brands. One of the reasons for me loving them so much has to be that they makeup fun and are not afraid to be a little bit more adventurous and daring when it comes to their collections. A little while ago you may have seen me get way too excited about the launch of their Unicorns Unite palette (full review here) as I love the idea of anything mythical and magical. It was a real treat to have an eyeshadow palette that resembled the colours of unicorns. If that wasn’t good enough, Makeup Revolution have added to their unicorn collection and have brought us five new lipsticks that are part of the Unicorns Unite range (insert girly squeal here).

As you can see from the pictures, by no means are these your everyday lipsticks and they certainly aren't for the faint hearted. BUT how pretty and magical do they look? I know they are not the kind of lipsticks that I would choose to wear daily, but if your like me and love playing around and experimenting with makeup then these are too good not to pick up. Like I said, they are just really fun lipsticks and make a great addition to any growing makeup collection.

Makeup Revolution, Makeup Revolution Unicorns Unite Lipsticks, Lipsticks, Unicorns Unite, Makeup, Lipstick Collection, Collection, Review,

In total there are five lipsticks to choose from. We have a gorgeous bright blue/purple shade called ‘Magical’, a stunning turquoise shade called ‘ Horn of Magic’, a pretty pink called ‘ Pink Myth’, a frosty lilac named ‘Throne’ and a mauve colour with grey undertones called ‘ Legend’. I love how each lipstick has been named to fit in with its unicorn theme. I think what makes these lipsticks a little more magical is that they all have a frosty metallic finish with the exception of ‘Pink Myth’ which is definitely the most wearable lipstick in the collection.

Each lipstick will only set you back £1.00 or you can pick up the full set for £4.00 which is such a bargain. Each lipstick does have a really nice formula to it, the shades are fairly pigmented and theres no dragging on the lips, so they make for a really comfortable wear. I think with Halloween just around the corner, these lipsticks are really worth picking up. I think there are some really fun creations to be made with these. Or you could just do what I do and wear these around the house, channel your inner unicorn.

I would love to know what your thoughts are on these lipsticks? Are you brave and bold enough to wear them? Let me know.

Makeup Revolution I Heart Makeup Lip Geek Lipstick Collection #4 The Reds

If you've been keeping up to date with my recent posts then you wont have missed me rave about these gorgeous Lip Geek lipsticks from Makeup Revolution. I honestly love everything about these lipsticks from the pretty pink bullet casings to their highly pigmented and creamy formulas. Over the last few weeks I've showcased the pink shades, the corals and of course the nudes, but no lipstick collection would ever be complete without those daring reds. So today I'm showcasing all the reds in the I Heart Makeup Lip Geek collection and as you can see from the top picture they are stunning.

I Worked For It

Starting with the darkest shade in the entire collection 'I Worked For It' is a gorgeous deep and vampy red and is going to be a perfect lipstick choice when the winter months come around. Don't be too put off by how dark it looks in the bullet as once on its a lot softer, which makes it very wearable. I would describe this red as a dark brick red kind of shade and its going to look great on so many skin tones, especially those of you who have paler skin.

Totally Not Boring

This lipstick has the perfect name as it is 'Totally Not Boring', in fact this shade has to be one of my favourites in the collection just because it's so unique and looks amazing on. Totally Not Boring is a gorgeous aubergine colour and just has the right amount of purple tones to it. This colour lipstick is going to look fabulous in Autumn time and makes me excited instantly for that time of year - I love wearing berry toned shades. This lipstick also has a slight frost finish to it which just adds a little more dimension to your lips, giving you the appearance of fuller lips which is always a nice bonus.

Cherry Bomb

As the name of this lipstick suggests 'Cherry Bomb' is a beautiful cherry shade and it's everything that you would want from a red lipstick. This shade is bright, vibrant, bold and so wearable. I find that the formula of this lipstick is so creamy and gives your lips a gorgeous glossy look at the same time. It's the kind of red that I find works well with my skin tone and works well with my hair colour too, so if you do have darker hair 'Cherry Bomb' is going to look amazing on you.

Total Diva

Total Diva has to be that classic pillar box red kind of shade and it really looks so amazing once on your lips. It has a slight orange undertone to it which makes it a little different to other post box reds. I find that this shade of red works so well on you  blonde haired babes and will compliment your hair colour so perfectly, especially in the winter time. I also love just how pigmented this lipstick is and with a steady hand no lip liner in needed either.

Dare To Be Different

Out of all the reds in the Lip Geek collection 'Dare To Be Different' has to be the most wearable and every day red and it really is so pretty once on. This lipstick is more of a pink toned red, so if your someone who doesn't want to go all out with a bright red this is a perfect alternative. This shade makes your lips look really healthy and works well with so many makeup looks, I've been reaching for it a lot and already its become quite the staple in my makeup bag.

So that's all the reds in the collection and I think you will agree there are some beauties in there. If red is not really your shade then be sure to check out my other posts where you can find reviews and swatches of the entire Lip Geek collection. As I've mentioned before and in my other posts, these lipsticks are such great quality and are so purse friendly costing only £2.99 per lipstick. As the ultimate lipstick lover, I've tried and tested my fair share of lipsticks and some of the Lip Geek lipsticks have quickly become some favourites of mine, they are just so fun to wear and I can't recommend them enough. If your looking to add some of these lipsticks to your collection then you can find them all on the Makeup Revolution website here.

I would love to know if you've tried any of these lipsticks and what your favoutie shade is? Let me know in the comments below.

MeMeMe Coral Blossom Cheek & Lip Tint || Review

MeMeMe Coral Blossom Cheek & Lip Tint* £5.50

For the last few months I have been quite obsessed with MeMeMe Cosmetics Beat The Blues Highlighter and this month MeMeMe have added another cheek and lip duo to their collection which I've pretty much fallen in love with right away. I am a huge fan of multipurpose products and have been a fan of the Benefit cheek & lip stains for some time, especially 'Posie Tint' (its gorgeous) but with its £24.50 price tag its a little on the expensive side. However MeMeMe have brought us a much more purse friendly dupe this summer that is just so amazing and is a makeup bag essential for anyone who loves cheek and lip stains.

This Coral Blossom tint from MeMeMe is beautiful on and I've loved using this for an everyday summer makeup look. I always think coral tones  look gorgeous this time of year, especially when your all bronzed from the summer sun. What I really love about this cheek and lip tint is that the coral shade is a really warm toned peach which is going to look amazing for all skin tones, especially with those of you who have fairer skin. With just a few dabs of the brush onto your cheek bones is going to be enough colour payoff to give you such a lovely warm flush of colour. I actually find that once the tint has been blended onto your cheeks it leaves such a lovely dewy finish and isn't too heavy at all. I know most of us love going for that natural skin look this time of year and its great to find a blush that is going to work with that look. Does anyone else find it annoying when you use a dewy foundation only to cover this fresh faced look up with a powdery chalky blush? I find that the Coral Blossom tint really does help to give your cheeks that sexy summer glow... Yes Please.

As for using this as a lip stain, again the colour payout is very subtle but enough to add a lovely warmth to your lips. I find that it just adds a lovely coral tone to your lips and definitely gives you that 'your lips but better' look. As soon as you pop this on it dries immediately and what I really love is that it will stain your lips for hours. Sometime's I'll even add a sheer gloss over the top just to add a little something extra and this looks ever so pretty on.

Over the past week I've actually not stopped wearing the Coral Blossom Cheek & Lip Tint,  its been great wearing this both on my lips and cheeks at the same time as it really does create such a fabulous summer look, it really is a summer essential!

I would love to know if your a fan of cheer and lip tints and if so what are your favourite ones to use? I think this coral shade is just super pretty and gorgeous, but let me know what your go to summer shade is?

Revlon Lip Butter - Wild Watermelon || Review

I remember when the Revlon Lip Butter's came on to the beauty scene and created quite the fuss, especially among us beauty bloggers - I think we went crazy about them and to this day still are. I am and think always will be now a huge lover of these lovely lip butters as they are just amazing and are the perfect balance between a lipstick and lip gloss. I love how rich and creamy they are on your lips, not to mention ultra shiny too and they really pack a punch when it comes to colour payout; The pigmentation in these Revlon Lip Butters are incredible and its for some of these reasons as to why I love them so much.

Right now for me all I can think about in terms of makeup is Spring and as I've probably said in the majority of my posts over the last few weeks, I am putting away my Winter makeup and am starting to swap it all around for much brighter colours. I love it when it comes to that time in the year where the seasons start to change as its always quite refreshing switching your makeup around. Also it's a perfect opportunity to go shopping for new makeup, especially as Boots have their 3 for 2 offer back on -Yayyy! Anyway back to the point I was trying to make, as I'm having a good swap around of my makeup, one of the first things and probably the easiest thing to change is your lipstick colour. Last year around Easter time I picked up the Revlon Lip Butter in the shade Wild Watermelon, which was recently a new addiction to the Lip Butter range. I tell you this shade of Lip Butter was love at first sight and I've rekindled my love with it. It occurred to me that I never managed to feature it in a post, so I thought today would be the perfect opportunity to do so.

As you can see Wild Watermelon is a gorgeous vibrant shade that is somewhere in between a pink and a red - Maybe more of an red coral shade describes it best. I think the name 'Wild Watermelon' fits this shade of Lip Butter perfectly as the shade is very similar to watermelons. I have to say out of all the Revlon Lip Butters, Wild Watermelon has to be one of my most favourite and loved shades. It's a little bit different for me as I tend to wear pinks (as you know) but I love how pigmented this Lip Butter is and the shade transfers perfectly on to your lips, it really is that pigmented.

The formula of this Lip Butter is just like all of the others, feels like a really rich lip balm on, which always makes my lips feeling more hydrated. And as to be expected with the Lip Butter's it has that high shine, glossy finish which makes it look stunning on. Glossy lips are right on trend for this Spring and this is the perfect alternative to a sticky lip gloss - I've always found the Lip Butters to be not too sticky at all.

For the majority of last week, this was my go too lip shade and I just love how it brightens up my makeup look, it really is the perfect shade to take you into Spring. I also love that even though its super bright, you can make the colour look a little more subtle by gently patting this on the lips instead when you apply it. I know it's along way off Summer yet, but this lip colour just looks incredible with a tan! (can you tell I'm dreaming of sunnier climates already).

I would love to know if your still loving the Revlon Lip Butters and what your thoughts are on Wild Watermelon? Is it your favourite too?

Umberto Giannini Scrunch Up The Volume Messy Texture Cream || Review

When it comes to hair, perfectly messy waves and big bouncy hair have always been my preferred styles. I think it's fair to say that the majority of us girls rarely use our straighteners to actually straighten our hair these days. When it comes to achieving that surfer girl hairstyle, sea salt spays are the go too product as they often do a fantastic job at making our hair that little bit messier and make your hair look textured and full of volume effortlessly. However sometimes I find that sea salt spays don't quite do the job for me and sometimes my hair just needs that little bit more umph when it comes to creating such a hairstyle.

Naturally my hair is very straight, so it's really difficult for me to retain any curls in my hair, even with the best of hairsprays, curls will drop out of my hair within a matter off minutes. In the past I would curl my hair and use a sea salt spray to fluff up all of my locks and go for that messy hair look. However once my curls had dropped out, my hair was always left feeling a little flat and full of frizz from the amount of product I had used. With my hair causing me too many problems to create my favourite hairstyle I was always on the look for a product that could give me styled messy hair, but one that would hold my style throughout the day and luckily I've found a product that does just that!

The other month in Boots on a whim I decided to pick up a bottle of Umberto Giannini Scrunch up the Volume Messy Texture Cream and its amazing! This is the perfect product to pop in your hair for an even more messy textured look and it actually holds the style for hours. I find that when I use this in my hair, curls last longer and it gives your hair that lovely natural wave which is great for those of you who have dead straight hair like myself.

The cream is really easy to use, to apply all you do is pop a little bit onto your finger tips and work it though damp hair. At this stage you can scrunch up your hair a little bit and mould it into the messy style you desire. The more cream that you use, the more of a messed up hair look you get once you've finished styling. To complete your hairstyle just simply zap your locks dry with a hairdryer and your good to go with your messy textured hair! The bottle does say for best results to dry your hair using a diffuser, but unfortunately I don't have this attachment with my hairdryer and I do find that I loose some of that initial wave that was caused from all my scrunching. Having said this I quite like the end result and find that it works perfectly on my hair.

The only thing I think some of you may dislike about this product is that is does leave a residue in your hair and it does feel as though your locks have been coated with a fair bit of product. I put it down to this being a cream and one that feels incredibly sticky when its first in your hair. However once your hair has dried, your not left with sticky hair at all. For me, my hair is a little on the thin side and this product does a brilliant job at making my hair look and feel thicker, so I don't mind the feeling of product in my hair - its not uncomfortable or annoying at all. In fact this product smells really good and has that salon smell to it. Its a huge added plus that you can really smell it in your hair hours after application.

Another bonus to using this product in your hair is it makes any curls that you may style into your hair last for hours. Like I mentioned my hair never stays curly once I've used the straighteners to curl it. Yet when I use this product my curls last for hours, all I do is brush my hair with a wide tooth comb once its dried so its nice and smooth, curl away and I'm good to go. If your wanting loose curls add a little sea salt spray and you have that perfect beach hair look. You can even pop a little more of the messy texture cream in for a little more volume and lift.

Overall I really rate this product and is fantastic if your looking to take your messy hair look to the next level. I also adore the packaging, the cream is really easy to dispense with its twist lid at the bottom. I also love the black design of the bottle as it looks ever so sleek which gives it that salon feel to it.

I would love to know what your thoughts are on this product and what products you use to get beautiful big messy hair.

TRESemme Platinum Strength Shampoo & Conditioner

No matter what your hairstyle is, I think its fair to say that a lot of the time our hair can take a right beating! I know over the years my hair has been constantly abused by the straighteners  curling wand, hair dye, backcombing, the sun... you get the idea the list is endless and as a result I think my locks have taken a right beating.... think dry damaged hair that is prone to snapping and breaking easily. As a lot of you probably know and can guess I'm an absolute lover of hair products and although I love to stick to my holy grail favourite products, I do love trying out new products on my hair and seeing if what difference they make and if they actually work.

I was on the hunt for a new shampoo and conditioner and I thought I would give the TRESemme Platinum Strength duo a go. I've always heard a lot of good things about this shampoo and conditioner that claims to repair up to two years worth of damage done to your hair in only five uses. I thought that these were pretty bold claims and this hair obsessed beauty blogger was eager to test this out and see if these products lived up to all the hype.

On first impressions I have to say I wasn't overly fussed or excited about picking these products up. As far as packaging goes, TRESemme products don't really excite me. Yes some may say that the back and white packaging makes these products look sleek and salon ready. But personally I prefer a little more excitement and brighter and bolder packaging when it comes to hair products. However packaging aside, after incorporating this shampoo and conditioner set into my hair care routine, I have to say I'm really impressed with how well the products actually work. If your looking to give your hair a major health boost and a bit of repair these products are definitely worth picking up.

I find that the TRESemme Platinum Strength Shampoo cleans the hair really well. You get just the right amount of lather when washing your hair and it makes your locks feel really clean. I also love how the shampoo does a great job of getting rid of any product build up that you may have in your hair, so you really are getting a good wash. It has that familiar TRESemme smell to it, which smells really pleasant and I find that the smell does transfer on to your hair, which is something that I love with hair products.

As for the TRESemme Platinum Strength Conditioner, I find that it's pretty lightweight and distributes though the hair pretty quickly - You really don't need to use a lot of product to give your locks a good condition. The conditioner smell matches the shampoo which makes this a lovely smelling set which is going to make your locks smell amazing. Because the conditioner is on the light side, it makes your hair really manageable which is great for styling. I also find that my hair is not that knotty after using, which is a huge plus if you have long hair.

As far as repairing two years worth of hair damage in just five uses is a bit of an exaggeration in my opinion. However since using this shampoo and conditioner I have noticed a huge difference in the overall condition of my hair. My hair looks and feels so much healthier and the ends of my hair definitely have a lot more strength. This shampoo and conditioner gives your hair great shine and seams to hide away any frizz or split ends you may have - which is always the biggest sign of damaged hair. I don't think its quite repaired two years worth of damage, however it does seam to mask major damage that your hair may have and it definitely does make your hair feel a lot stronger - And you really do need strong hair to achieve a good hair swish!

I really do enjoy using these products, however I am a huge believer that if you give your hair too much of something all the time it will get used to it and for that reason I only use these products when I feel like giving my hair a little pick me up. If I were to use them every time I washed my hair I don't think I would see such dramatic changes in my hair after using them. I think I would get a little fed up with these products if I had to use them on my hair all the time.

Overall I do think the TRESemme Platinium Strength Shampoo & Conditioner is a great set and if your hair needs a health boost then I would really recommend them, especially as they are pretty cheap at costing £4.99 a Bottle from Boots. If your looking to give your hair some TLC then I think you will love the results that this shampoo and conditioner give.

After loving these two products as much as I do, I'm really tempted to try some other products in the TRESemme Platinum Strength range, if you ladies have any recommendations be sure to let me know in the comments below. I would also love to know what your thoughts are on this shampoo and conditioner.

Gorgeous Long Locks || Double Volume Straight Weave

When it comes to styling my hair the words volume and glamorous immediately come to mind - for me nothing beats wearing your hair down, swishing it around and having it look just gorgeous and luscious. However getting it to look like you've had a dozen stylists working on your barnet for a good few hours is impossible, especially for us ladies with busy lifestyles.

When I posted my most recent OOTD (picture above) I was flooded with questions asking how I styled my hair, how I got it so long and looking full of volume... well the big secret is, is that hardly any of the hair that you see in that picture is my own. Yep that's right ladies, I cheated and for this particular outfit I had my 'double volume straight weave' in which was kindly sent to me from Wonderland Wigs.

In the past I've always been a hair extensions kind of girl, popping them in for big nights out, or just those days I wanted my locks to look that extra bit special. Although the process of applying hair extensions is hardly rocket science, it can be a little time consuming - what with applying each weft of hair in the correct position and if your planning on curling them then that's going to add least 20 minutes on top of your getting ready time. However since receiving my hairpiece from Wonderland Wigs my hair extensions have been made a little redundant as applying a hairpiece takes a matter of minutes and gives you the most amazing looking hair ever.

Honestly I was so excited when the postman knocked on the door and delivered my hairpiece and within a matter of minutes it was out of the box and had made it's way on to my head. The double volume straight weave has been made from high quality synthetic hair. When I read this on the website I have to say I really had no idea what to expect as the only hairpieces I had used in the past were my hair extensions , which have all been made from 100% human remy hair. However much to my surprise the synthetic hair was really soft, shiny and so natural looking and the length of it was just amazing - I think it's one of every girls wishes to have beautiful long mermaid hair and this hairpiece gives you exactly that, 22 inches of long hair really does look give you that big sexy hair look. I also really love how the hair has been layered and has a slight flick to it at the bottom, which really makes it look so natural once its on.

What really impressed me the most about this hairpiece is the application time. It states on the box that will only take you five minutes to pop it in your hair and they really aren't kidding. The hairpiece was so easy to apply with its grips sliding easily on to your own hair. As there is such a lot of hair for just a few grips I was slightly concerned about just how well the hairpiece would stay put though the course of the day, but amazingly they are really secure and the hairpiece does not budge at all.

Overall I am so impressed with this weave and if your looking to get lush locks in a matter of minutes then I really recommend that you have a browse though the Wonderland Wigs website as they have loads of different 3/4 hairpieces, from curly hair to dip dye hair with a wide variety of colours and shades to offer. I'm always wanting a volume boost when it comes to my own hair and this weave is packed with volume, I just love how thick and gorgeous it makes my hair look. For £39.99 I think this hairpiece is a great alternative to hair extensions and is just perfect for those nights out or special occasions where your wanting your hair to make a big impact.

Have you tried any hairpieces from Wonderland Wigs? What do you ladies think of this one?

Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick - Neon Rose

I think it's fair to say that the majority of us beauty bloggers have a big weakness when it comes to lipstick- I know the sight of a pretty pink lipstick makes me go a little giddy and I have no shame in sharing with you all that I've added another one to my collection - The Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick in the shade Neon Rose. I am a huge fan of Bourjois products, their chocolate bronzer and lovable pots of blush being a favourite of mine, but for some unknown reason I've always bypassed their lipstick range. But on a whim in Boots the other day I decided to pretty much swatch every lippie Bourjois had to offer and came home with this little beauty.

The Rouge Edition Lipstick is a highly pigmented lipstick that has been enriched with orchid blossom extract which makes it glide on to the lips with ease and give your lips a lovely glossy finish. As soon as you apply this lipstick you feel how it gives your lips a boost of hydration which is long lasting and makes your lips feel so smooth. The finish of this lipstick reminds me of the same finish of Mac's Lustre lipsticks, which is one of my favourites, so this lipstick gets a huge thumbs up from me. Normally highly pigmented lipsticks seam to have a matte finish, but the Rouge Edition lipsticks have great pigmentation which is pretty true to the colour that you see in the tube - And because it has a moisutising and glossy look to it, it gives your lips that wet look finish, creating the illusion of much fuller and plumper lips.

I decided to pick up shade 12 Neon Rose which is this gorgeous blue toned pink that has a bubblegum look to it. As soon as I popped this on to my lips it instantly reminded me of Mac's Chatterbox, which is another favourite of mine. Mac's Chatterbox is from the Amplified collection, which means it's long lasting and has a matte finish, so its great to find something that is pretty much the same shade, but has a glossy finish to it instead which I love. If you've been lusting after Chatterbox for some time then Neon Rose is a great dupe in terms of colour.

Not only Neon Rose give your lips a gorgeous pop of colour, it also pretty long lasting, which I wasn't expecting due to the type of finish on it. I find that this lasts for a good 3 hours before it starts to fade and needs re-applying. Even when it does start to fade, it leaves more of a stain on your lips, whist still keeping your lips hydrated at the same time. I even love the packaging of this lipstick, the sleek black casing gives it an expensive feel and I love how you can see the product at the bottom, which makes it easy to find in your makeup bag.

Overall I'm really impressed with the Rouge Edition lipstick from Bourjois and with them having 18 different shades on offer I plan on adding a few more to my collection. I currently have my eye on 'Pretty Prune' a deep berry red (perfect for winter) and 'Orange Pop Up' a lovely coral orange shade. I picked mine up from Boots for £7.99.

Have you tried any of the Rouge Edition Lipsticks? What shades are you loving?

Lots of Love
