Maybelline | Colour Sensational Lipstick

Hello beauties, the cold winter weather plays havoc with my lips, working in an air conditioned environment also doesn't help and leaves my lips feeling really dry and chapped. All the lips scrub and lip butter in the world not take this problem away and as a result it means that I can only choose a selection of lipsticks on my lips this time of year. None of us want to walk around with cracks in our beautiful pouts. Wearing lipgloss? Not a problem, but with a lipstick it’s important for it to be moisturising and creamy so it feels like it's doing some good to chapped lips.

If you suffer from this problem too, then I have a great lipstick recommendation that is creamy, glossy and has great pigment in colour! Its the Colour Sensational range from Maybelline. I don't know how long these have been out for but I don't think there the most recent line from the Maybelline range. I had never tried any of the Maybelline Lipstick's so I thought I would give this one ago. I was drawn by the super girlie pink packaging and when doing a swatch in store I fell in love with the colour 602 Beige Rose. For me it is the perfect nude colour but it has a dusty pink tone to it making it a bit more special than your average nude!

When I started wearing this lipstick I was amazed with the high shine gloss it gave your lips and this is because it has a reflective shine formula and is enriched with honey nectar.

I am in love with this product and am eager to get my hands on the other 5 shades which are in the collection. Not that I think you would need it as this lipstick is super glossy anyway, but Maybelline also have a Colour Sensational Lipgloss to match for that added bit of shine. The only downside I would have with this product, is that once its lived in your bag a little while the packaging does start to look a bit tattered but only on a close inspection.

If you have tried any of the shades in the lipstick or lipgloss collection I would love to know what your favourite is, just leave it in the comments below.

  3. I like how the colour looks when it is actually on. I probably wouldn't buy it if I just swatched it on my hand! Gotta look into this - I need a new lipstick anyway. Thanks for the post!

  6. Hey there! I found your blog on elleandblair.com and thought I would drop by! I personally love the Maybelline color sensational lipsticks and I have been looking into buying some of the high shine ones, but I'm currently loving Make Me Pink, it is a gorgeous blue based pink that makes teeth appear whiter and brighter while adding creamy color.
