When it comes to blusher, Sleek really hit the nail on the head as their blushers have to be some of the best that I've ever tried. Before I went on holiday I picked up two shades that I thought would be perfect for summer, Rose Gold (a peach shade with golden shimmers) and Flamingo (a bright pink). Both of these shades are so pretty, work amazingly as blushers and I love wearing both of them equally. One thing I would like to mention before starting this review is that the packaging of these Sleek blushers are just lovely and are so expensive looking - I wasn't able to include any pictures of what these blushers look like on the outside, as when I was in Turkey I stupidly left some of my makeup on the balcony one day and it caused all the printing one the front to melt off! Silly me. So I thought I would leave those photographs out as I wouldn't be doing Sleek or myself much credit. However I'm sure a lot of you will be familiar with Sleeks packaging and will know that they have a lovely sleek quality to them.
Before purchasing Rose Gold, I had always heard from reviews that it was supposed to be a fantastic dupe for NARS Orgasm. For the longest of time I've wanted to try this famous blush from NARS, but have never been able to part with the money in my purse and actually splurge out on it. So it was to much joy when I popped into Superdrug to see that they had re-stocked Rose Gold in the Sleek section - I don't know about you, but the most popular items from Sleek always seam to be continuously out of stock at my local store.
Rose Gold has to be one of the prettiest blushers that I own, its a gorgeous peachy pink shade that has golden highlights, which add a beautiful shimmer to this blush when applied. As shimmery as this blush is, I find that it doesn't look too dramatic or over the top on your skin - Instead it seams to lift your cheek bones and highlights them beautifully. What I really love about this blush is just how pigmented it is, and you hardly need any product on your brush to get a lovely flush of colour. As shimmery as this blush is, the texture of it is in now way chalky or too powdery and because of this it blends so effortlessly into your skin. I have been wearing this blush non stop as part of my daytime makeup look and the colour that it brings to my cheeks works perfectly for this time of year. Come evening time, I do apply more of this blush to my cheeks for a more intense look and it really brings out those coral colours in the blush, making it perfect for those summer nights out. Another great thing about this blush is it wears for a long time and once applied hardly needs topping up at all.
The name 'Flamingo' is so perfect for this blush, as the name suggests this blush is a shockingly bright pink. It's a very true Barbie sort of pink when you look at it in its packaging which may be a little scary when you think that its going to be on your face. But with a light hand you have nothing to worry about as Flamingo brings a lovely warmth to your cheeks, leaving a gorgeous flush of pink behind when its blended out. This blush is so smooth and glides onto your skin ever so easily and blends out perfectly. Where as Rose Gold was a very shimmery blush, Flamingo is the complete opposite and has a very matte finish that has a satin texture to it. Again as the blush is so pigmented you only need to use a little product for each use and less is definitely more when it comes to using Flamingo. If your a bit of a girly girl like myself, then I'm sure you will love Flamingo as much as I do.
I equally love both of these blushers from Sleek, the pigmentation of each blush is amazing and I've not found anything else that's compared to the quality of these drug store products. Not only are the quality and longevity of these blushers amazing, the packaging of the product is very expensive looking and the compact mirror inside is most handy. You can pick up Sleek Blushers from Superdrug and there only going to cost you £4.49 which is very cheap and cheerful. These blushers have to have been my most loved products for Summer and I definitely can't wait to add a few more to my collection! If your looking for a new blusher to try out that will add a lovely pop of colour to your cheeks, then I can't recommend these blushers enough.
Have you tried any of the Sleek blushers? What shades do you recommend?

I've been eyeing both of these! I really want them!
ReplyDeleteI love Flamingo, I got it in my Glossybox a few months ago. I think the brightness of Sleek's blushes scare a lot of people but yet many are really pretty and subtle when well blended.

I think too many girls are afraid of bright pink, but if you don't use too much it can look beautiful even on pale skin.
ReplyDeleteLovely post!
