This Girls Gotta Have Em | Topshop

Hello lovelies. This weeks 'This Girls Gotta Have Em' is looking at Topshop (again). I've been having a good browse though fashion sites and there are so many nice bits and bobs in Topshop that I thought it would be rude not to share my favourites with you. Today's picks defiantly look at brights for the summer which I'm sure most of us are all looking forward too!

From Left to Right

Geo Girl Photo Tunic £20.00

I am loving this photo tunic top. It's full of bright colours and would look great paired with some denim shorts or some leggings while we wait for the weather to warm up. For me this tee has a festival vibe to it and would be perfect if you planning on going to any festivals this year. What I love most about this top has to be the cut out design at the back as I find it makes the tee all that more interesting,

Moto High Waist Space Hotpants £34.00

I saw these shorts on the Topshop website and at first I was a bit undecided about them, but the more I looked at them the more I liked them. They are just really fun and bright and would certainly look great for Spring/Summer. These are the sort of shorts where everyone would be asking 'where did you get those from?'

Leopard Full Skirt £42.00

I'm a huge fan of leopard print and I am in love with full skirts right now as they create movement and texture to your outfit. I think the design of this one is perfect and this is the type of skirt you could really dress up or down. Keep it simple with a nice black cami tucked in would look amazing.

Mullet Hem Chiffon Bandeau Dress by Rare £65.00

This is the ideal dress to take away with you on holiday and I just adore the colour. This would be a timeless staple piece in any ones wardrobe

Ethnic Toe Ring £5.00

Seeing toe rings on line and in stores defiantly gets me excited as it means that warmer weather is only around the corner and we can start showing off our toes again. I love a good old toe ring and I love the turquoise in this one

Floral Zip Back Dress by Rare £49.00

How vintage and cute looking is this dress? I love the shape and the design is very romantic. Its a gorgeous aqua blue and the floral design is beautiful. This would look lovely with some sandals or flat forms

Scorch High Contrast Platforms £68.00

I don't think these shoes are for the faint hearted as they are bold and yellow can be a bit of a daunting colour. However it was the yellow in the design that really drew me to them and I think that they would look lovely on, especially if you wanted people to take notice of your pins.

Magical Lip Tint in Crystal £9.00

As a lot of you know the Topshop lipsticks are becoming a bit of  a cult item in the beauty world (I'm still yet to get my hands on one) I saw this Magical Lip Tint on the website and thought it would be great to share with you beauties. It's a lip tint which will react to your skin tone to create a unique shade of pink . Normally products like this are cream of the crop or bottom of the mop! But seeing how good Topshop lipsticks are I would like to think this stain is towards the top of the scale. Have you tried it? Then please let me know how you found it.

Hope you enjoyed these picks beauties, as always I would love to know your thoughts.

Soft and Gentle | Mac MSF Review

For those beauties who love a highlighter, will enjoy tonight's post. Two weeks ago I popped down to my local Mac counter and decided to take the £21.50 plunge and buy my first Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle. I've always heard so many things about this product, none of them being negative and it's been on my wish list for sometime.

In all honesty I can't say a bad thing about this product because the truth is,  I'm in LOVE with it! I always thought paying £21.50 for a highlighter was steep, but after using this product I can't imagine doing my regular makeup routine without it.

Soft and Gentle MSF has gorgeous peach and golden tones to it and is a soft powder with a frost finish. I must admit I was a bit worried with having oily to combination skin that this product might make my skin look too shiny, but instead I found it brightened up my skin and added a touch of radiance that wasn't there before. I don't know if its because of the cold winter weather but my skin has felt so dull recently and have found Soft Gentle really gives me a bit of a healthy glow.

It maybe a bit of a luxury purchase but I would recommend it to anyone. Its easy to use and I can see this lasting for ages as a little goes a long way!  As you can see from the swatches below its such a pretty colour. I had so much fun swatching this in store as when you look up close it has the tiniest flecks of golden glitter which is very subtle and this is what gives you that gorgeous glow.

Not only does this product make a fantastic cheek highligher but it works wonders highlighting your brow bone and used as an inner corner shadow. You could also use it like you would a normal eye shadow for those natural looking days (which I have done and love).

I'm so pleased I got my hands on this and would love to know your thoughts beauties! If any of you have tried anything else from the MSF family let me know your recomendations as I am wanting to get my hands on some more.

Perfect Red Polish | NOTD

For all you nail polish lovers out there I have finally found the perfect red polish. I am in love with this shade of red so much so that I have repainted my nails this gorgeous colour three times in a row. I can't believe I had it sitting in my collection since Christmas and that its taken me this long to try it out! It's the perfect classic red.

This polish was given to me as part of a box set which was from the Fearne Cotton Collection at Boots. This polish has no name unfortunately and I'm not sure if you can get it outside of this box set. For you beauties I have had a look on the Boots Website to see if they have this polish in the permanent Fearne Collection and it looks as though they do, but its hard to tell on the Boots site. I'm about 90% sure it's the same shade just in a different bottle, if any of you have it already you will have to let me know, have a look here to see what you think. The polishes from the permanent collection are usually £5.50 but there all on offer now for an amazing £1.37 so I think I'll be placing an order myself!

This polish took two coats to achieve full opacity and does brilliant on the 'no chipping' side of things. It was easy to apply and I just think the colour is vibrant, shiny and fun. I love it and think it's the perfect red polish.

I would love to know your thoughts beauties and would love to know if you are going to be getting any polishes from this collection with the amazing offer on.

Toni & Guy Sea Salt Texturising Spray | Review

Hello Lovelies! Nothing quite beats a bit of a lazy day and I don't mean just staying in bed and getting up late. Some days I don't have time (or can't be bothered) to put in a huge amount of time on my hair and makeup. I may be having a lazy day but I still want to look and feel good so I'm always trying to find products that make my getting ready process quick, easy and effortless!

I am a huge fan of the get out of bed, beached look, tousled and textured wave style hair (a bit of a mouthful) When left to dry naturally my hair is slightly wavy, but often limp and lifeless so to give it some Oomph I always use a sea salt texturising spray as I find that these spays really gives some definition to my waves. Charles Worthington Rough and Tousled Salt Spay as always been my go to one but a little while ago Toni & Guy released their own sea salt spray and I had to give it a try. Its from the new Casual Collection from Toni & Guy and they've named it Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray.

On first impressions I have to say that I love the packaging of this products. I know that looks aren't everything but for me as a consumer I am more likely to buy any product if I am in love with the way it looks and feels. This bottle has a rubbery and matte finish to it making it easy to hold in the hand and it makes it feel more expensive (which I like) I also love the colour it's very fresh and clean looking.

As for the spray I have to give it a huge thumbs up as it worked wonders in my hair. The spray has a nice fragrance to it and smells like a lot of similar Toni & Guy products. I also found this sea salt spray to not feel as sticky as the Charles Worthington one and therefore it feels a lot nicer in my hair. If your a fan of the Charles Worthington spray too then I would say you will defiantly like this product. In my opinion they work just as well as each other and they both work wonders. When I have to make a re-purchase my decision as to what one I choose will be based on 'what's on offer' as I have no preference although I do like the Tony & Guy spray's packaging so much more!

The directions we very easy to follow, but I always find to get more volume with these spays is to spray them in towel dried hair and scrunch the tips of your hair with your fingers. Then add more product to the hair once it has dried. That's how I achieved this look.

The Toni & Guy Sea Salt Spray is currently on offer at Boots now for a bargain £4.79 for 200ml of product. I only bought the travel size bottle of 75ml as I wasn't sure if I was going to prefer it over my Charles Worthington spray but having tried and tested it I love it and will be sure to purchase the bigger bottle.

I hope you enjoyed this review beauties and I would love to know your thoughts or know if you have tried any other products from the Toni & Guy Casual Collection.

This Girls Gotta Have Em | Miss Selfridge

Hello fashionista's today's 'This Girls Gotta Have Em' post will be looking at the new clothing from Miss Selfrridge. I was having a good browse on the web page and found some gorgeous pastel items which will be a key trend this Spring/Summer. Hope you enjoy these little finds!

Left to Right

Pink Snake Effect Clutch £16.00

The Website have described this cute clutch as pink! But to me it looks lilac! I think that it looks lovely and would look great for Spring to add a pop of colour to your outfit.

Hysteria Coral Platfrom Heel £65.00

I am in love with these shoes. As a lot of you will know, coral has to be one of my favourite colours to wear so these shoes have my name written all over it. I love the chunky front platform and the peep toe style is a must for this season.

Mickey Mouse Tie Front Vest £22.00

I am a huge Disney fan and print tees are all over the high street right now. This would look so cute paired with the shorts or skinny jeans in the above picture.

Blue Floral Knot Bikini £26.00

How Kath Kidston is this bikini? As soon as I saw it I immediately thought of the famous Kath Kidston design and this is the bikini I am wanting to take with me on holiday!

Floral Ditsy Stripe Maxi Dress £50.00

I've noticed that a lot of maxi dresses are sporting a very sheer fabric towards the bottom of the dress this season and I must say that I think this style of Maxi would look lovely on. Its something that I would need to try on before I buy. I love the floral prints on this one and as it's been featured in Look Magazine I can imagine it will sell out pretty quickly. How I am looking forward to maxi dress wearing weather. Roll on the sunshine :)

Pink Distressed Denim Short £28.00

I adore these pink distressed shorts, these would look amazing with any tee in the summer and perfect with a golden glow tan. The pastel pink shade is spot on and I think that these are a good price also.

Petites Tonal Playsuit £37.00

This little playsuit has to be one of the favourite items that I've picked out for this post. I love the contrasting black and white and the sleek look of it. This would look fabulous with some glam heels and some chunky jewelry. Its one of those classic pieces that could be dressed up or down.

Lavender Soft Super Skinny Jeans £36.00

I think it's so nice that this season we can stay well away from black and blue jeans and really liven up our wardrobes with splashes of colour.  I am in love with the colour of these jeans and this is the colour denim I would be rocking!

I hope you enjoyed these picks lovelies and as always I would love to know your thoughts!

As you must of guessed by now I am a huge fan on Blake Lively and every time I see a picture of her I always think that she looks effortlessly beautiful. Her hair is always messy yet perfect and her makeup is natural looking. The picture show below has inspired me to re-create this hair and makeup look. I hope you enjoy!

Effortlessly Beautiful | Blake Lively

Hello beauties. For those of you who have been reading my blog for a little while will know that actress Blake Lively is one of my favourite fashion icons. I think she always looks effortlessly beautiful and has that perfect 'Girl Next Door Look'. I am always so inspired by her, from the way she dresses, to her makeup and messy but perfect looking hair.

I was causally reading though my copy of Cosmopolitan on my lunch break and saw her in this amazing fringe dress by marchesa and I thought it would be great to share on my blog.As stunning as the dress is, it's not something that I would causally have hanging up in my wardrobe and therefore wouldn't be able to re-create this look with anything similar in my wardrobe. But here Blake's hair and makeup looks lovely, which does inspires me. Therefore I have set myself a challenge and have decided to re-create the makeup and hair style this weekend for you beauty babes!

If you are interested and want to see with how my take on this hair and makeup style look then be sure to stay tuned over the weekend for the following post. If you have any thoughts or suggestions then please leave a comment below. Take care my lovelies!

Project Perfect

Hello beauties. A few days ago a Frances from FrancesCassandra posted a blog post titled 'Project Perfect' and since seeing this have seen a few other beauty bloggers put this post up. I think it was originally posted by Amy from Flaws and All (be sure to check out both these beauty bloggers as they are amazing). Project Perfect is to encourage girls to embrace flaws and turn them into a positive. It also looks at what we do like about our bodies and injecting some confidence into ourselves.

It is so easy in today's society to have a misguided view on what the perfect body should look like. The media is always showing us how fabulous are favourite icons look whilst quick to slate anyone with wobbly bits or pimples. With so many images photo shopped these days it can make us all feel negative about our own bodies. Myself included.  We are all guilty of finding flaws in the mirror and thinking, 'why don't I look good enough?'. I have always been very insecure about my skin and scaring around my T-zone area and worst insecurity has to be my big nose. When I was in my teens I used to cover so much of my hair around my face as I thought it would make my nose a lot smaller.

I have found reading these Project Perfect posts so inspirational and it defiantly helps to improve self images. All you have to do is.

1. Post a picture of yourself and say in a couple of sentences why you like it.

2. Say somethings that you DON'T like about yourself and say why others may like to be like that.
3. State three things that you DO like about yourself.

The reason why I like this photo

This picture was a recent one of mine and was used the other week in a FOTD. I like this picture as I feel that I have gone for a natural look and for me is something which has been hard to do. In the past I used to cake on my makeup from foundation, bronzer and blusher, so much so that I was lost underneath it all. Over the past year I have been making small cutbacks with the amount of makeup I would apply and this picture shows me that I have come along way.

Three things I DON'T like about myself, turned into a POSITIVE

1. I really don't like the look or the shape of my nose. When I was young I was teased about it. I always knew it was big but I didn't like being reminded or tormented about it. However over the years I've learnt to deal with it and am able to wear my hair off my face and show it off to the world. It may be on the bigger side but I have an excellent sense of smell.

2. I don't like the size of my pores or the scaring around my T-Zone area. You can't see it from the above picture, but up close you could count them all. I'm 24 and I still get spots I really thought that this would have passed by now. However my skin is no where near as bad as what it used to be and now I am older I know how to look after my skin a lot better.

3. I have really oily skin. I am forever needing a touch up of powder to stop my makeup from falling off my face, especially in the summer time. Oily skin is something which runs in the family. The positive side to this is that my mum has hardly any wrinkles and she swears that It's not just her daily moisturiser but the oils from her skin which has kept those wrinkles at bay!

Three things I LIKE about myself.

1. I really like my eyes, they seam to change colour randomly from dark to light brown. It's my eyes that get the most compliments.

2. My body shape. I am one of these really fortunate girls who can eat whatever and not really put on any weight. I am a UK 6/8 and I don't put any limits on myself as to what I can eat.

3. I like my legs the look of my legs, they don't go on forever but as dancer/cheerleader they are nicely toned. Although it's not something you can see but I also love my flexibility which helps to keep those muscles toned.

For me there is no such thing as the perfect body or someone being more beautiful than someone else. We are all different and need to embrace our bodies for how they look naturally. Confidence is they key to beauty and this post is great as it is all about turning those negative feelings  positives. I f you've enjoyed reading this then I urge you to take part and embrace your self image, if you do please let me know in the comments below.

Take care and remember you are all beautiful!
